  1. You don’t find value in every other post being something like, “I think that young man might be able to help us. What do you think Bobby and Gerry?”
  2. I get what you’re saying. He’s been quite productive, but his running style seems to have a lot of unnecessary juking.
  3. You’re being ridiculous. Nigel, pay no heed. It reminds me of when we were kids back on.., what street was it again? Your favorite dog (damn, what was his/her name again?) was always barking, and your mom, who kept her maiden name (forgot another detail, what was it?) always baked us cookies. Ah, those were the days. Signed, your best friend… guess who!!!
  4. Sue Simmons says it for all of us
  5. I was hoping Blacklab would come in and threaten a banhammer, but I guess it is $9.95 and these assholes are literally debating money and the various services. Doesn’t mean it hasn’t devolved into shit. My fault for reading it.
  6. Holy shit, is that 25 years ago? If my math is wrong, I’m an idoit.
  7. Shit, I missed the part about “injures,” eyes suck. Sorry.
  8. Didn’t Pickryl have a disintegrating shoulder which helped sideline his football career? Now he’s a successful hospital admin. The other kid from Oklahoma selling drugs was a washout, don’t recall if that was the end of Mack or Charlie era. Edited to clarify Leitao was early Mensa.
  9. Yesterday, Sark mentioned the members of the RB room and he did include Red.
  10. Like newspapers have obituaries ready for certain members of society, the 9.95ers have blurbs written up and even videos cut for anticipated commitments and portal announcements. I suspect they have an article in the queue for all the usual suspects, someone fucked up and published the Gullette one.
  11. “WHAT FUCKING IAN GUY?”
  12. Aaron Bryant received praise from Majors.* *Let me clarify, the tweets I saw regarding Majors’ comments were about Bryant. There’s a chance he spoke about Bledsoe as well, I haven’t watched the newser. But he definitely gave Bryant a big shout out.
  13. What a weird thread now, combined from how many sources? I was following thru the Football board “Glove” version, I’m assuming a busy DT thread was merged and now we have a Frankenstein’s monster. Eh, he was a monster so I guess apropos.
  14. Nah, he’s now beating up naive olds at the OTF site. One of them snapped at Henry James the other day, it was a sight to behold.
  15. And Nahlin is reporting Burrell is no longer part of the Texas program.
  16. If posting a screen shot is your way of asking if Gerry named names, he did not, which is smart on his part. The italicized section was all he wrote (the link is there for you to check out the comment yourself). The newsworthy part is GH saying one player is a “done deal.” I take that to mean an incoming transfer.
  17. When GH says there’s a “done deal,” it would seem to indicate a deal has been done to bring in a new player: I don’t think you talk about your departing players in terms of “deals, but my assumption could be wrong. Besides, we already know we need what, six or seven on the current roster to leave to make it to the 85? So yes, there will be departures.
  18. Does this populate as a viewable post, or just a link? https://ontexasfootball.com/forums/topic/1167-spring-football-2024-updated-scholarship-count/?do=findComment&comment=13806 If not, Gerry Hamilton posted this at the OTF site (in the same thread where the guy was de-pantsed by CTJ and RGBIII). Scholarship numbers/transfer portal activity the subjects being discussed, so I take this as good news we have a late window transfer on the way. Two names were brought up yesterday while on campus for the recruiting event. One is a done deal in a couple of weeks.
  19. Ever since I first saw his roster photo I thought he had that Ezekiel Elliott style face/body disconnect. Of course, Zeke went on to add a few (several) pounds to make it more of a match, but I agree with your Blue take. And put me in the “Blue will be the lead back before it’s said and done” camp. Just too explosive, sees the hole better, and we need to see CJ overcome his nagging injury issues. I think Blue is gonna crush it this year.
  20. I suspect he’s faster or as fast as anyone in the RB room not named Jaydon Blue. He doesn’t get caught. If anyone hasn’t watched his Hudl, please do. It’s one of the damndest things I’ve ever seen, he goes 5:40 without ever being tackled, and there were other TD runs that could have been edited at the top to make that an even longer stretch. Many of the runs are of the 70-80 yard variety, in a high level of competition. His ability plus his 100% desire to be a Longhorn (he wept when he got the offer, Texas is his dream school) makes this kid a take all the way (not saying utfan87 is against the take, just replying to the track times comment). http://www.hudl.com/v/2LMLCK
  21. Those other guys may have been better, but Rink was cold. And slippery.
