  1. You’d assume Aaron Butler is halfway out the door after Bobby Burton called him out the other day, something Burton rarely does.
  2. I think it actually may have been $4 an hour 🤣. Add on the Student Services Fees bundle for tickets to all sporting events (aka blanket tax) for a couple hundred bucks, plus a few other assorted fees and I probably didn’t’t even get to $500. Sound about right, @cafe society? Out of staters had to add a cool $1,000 to the price tag, but it was still an incredible deal. We had a guy on my hall at Moore-Hill from College Park, Maryland. It was actually cheaper for him to pay the tuition, fees, out of state $1,000 add on AND room and board than had he lived at home and attended the University of Maryland.
  3. Shit, I’m so old (graduated early 80’s) I don’t think ‘testing out” was even a thing, but like CTJ, I didn’t have any guidance or money to do anything about it had I known. There was some orientation fee we had to pay to attend that little introduction and they allowed you to fill out paperwork to see if you qualified for a poor person refund. They actually said on the form (paraphrasing), “No one ever gets this money back, so don’t expect it. But you can try, dumbfuck!” I got the money back, maybe even a sympathetic call 🤣.
  4. Whoa, you mean your post #8716 in this thread broke the news to everyone that one of college football’s top young QB’s had shoulder surgery, and no one outside the immediate Gator Football “family” knows about it? Damn. Edited to add I’m not being sarcastic, but if true, that’s a big story. Sucks for Lagway and the talkative girlfriend of the backup, she’ll catch hell.
  5. I’d feel better with a veteran return specialist, but I’m also greedy. This guy would do, but I haven’t heard any rumors he’s considering us or we’re considering him. https://kslsports.com/ncaa/byu-football/keelan-marion-transfer-portal/545890
  6. I’ve seen it probably four times today, first time ever.
  7. The Archmania thread on the Football board may be a better resource (if you can stomach the Football board) but I can say Simmons is wired a little differently based on watching a recent Pivot podcast. Fred Taylor was talking about lining up against Colin and Ant Hill, and instead of being deferential to the old guy, Simmons seemed like he was ready to take him up on the concept, with the subtext being, “Ok, you’ll lose.” It was a bit uncomfortable 🤣.
  8. Anyone else getting weird little pop ups asking you to watch an ad? Seems to be coming from the site itself. The three or so times I’ve seen it, I’ve ignored it and just went to the next page. Yes, I am signed in and no, not in Cloak Room.
  9. Just a little bit… Harris was a great athlete, baseball was more of a potential thing for him, whereas he was already dominant in football as a safety and return guy. But you can’t pass up that #5 money.
  10. Even though you haven’t posted much, I like many of your takes, but respectfully, what do you know about Vasek the rest of us don’t ? 🤣
  11. Donald Harris played both sports and was an all SWC safety at Tech with a bad ass future NFL career, but being picked fifth overall by the Rangers after his sophomore year led him to choose baseball. He futzed around in the Rangers org for too many years, couldn’t hit, and then tried football again with the Cowboys, but it was too late. That seems to be the obvious one…
  12. It seems Brian doesn’t have a great relationship with Kennedy’s mom. From 2018: The medical examiner later determined the gunshot was self-inflicted. In addition to attorneys, Tyna Karageorge has named the Chicago Tribune and one of its reporters as defendants in the suit. Filed in Bridgeview, Illinois, the suit reportedly seeks $125 million. https://chicago.suntimes.com/2018/1/17/18368223/mother-of-brian-urlacher-s-son-files-125m-suit-against-him
  13. Everyone should watch the reel posted by @pacman above to see the volume (what, about five catches a game?). He seems to be a dude capable of being the #1 option, but he shouldn’t need to be that here. Regarding his athleticism, he just needs to hurdle a few fools like GH did 🤣 (I saw one opportunity in the reel, but he did the Casey Kasem and kept his feet on the ground).
  14. Such a great pickup, high volume receiver at a position of need. I like the potential of Washington, and the early word on Winston is positive, but a veteran guy with a productive track record is so important in Sarkisian’s offense. Arch’s new best friend.
  15. I remember Malcom Epps playing in our spring game, then giving everyone big hugs as he/they knew he was leaving. I think we’ve had a few others play in the spring game as well (but not sure if in the last couple years).
  16. Welcome to the board, Haulcy Family, I mean Jiggious. Unfortunately, we only have influence with the TE room. (Two year starter, All Big 12 are good credentials, not sure what our S need is, perhaps some of the more roster-centric posters will weigh in.)
  17. As you no doubt discovered, it was on SEC+, so only on the ESPN app (which you can access with YTTV, its just not on the main channel list).
  18. I agree, and it would be nice if a BPA type also had collegiate experience returning kicks since Bolden handled pretty much all our punt returns and Golden the kickoffs. I thought Moore had some, but couldn’t find any stats for him (and as one of the starters, one with a bit of an injury history, he may not be your first choice in the role).
  19. So, what’s left to be done? Find this year’s Silas Bolden for help in the return game/veteran receiver depth/rip out Oklahoma’s soul with a hustle play?
  20. He probably didn’t want to bother with the shitshow young Mrs. Belichick is cooking up in Chapel Hill
  21. Must be like that kid several years ago who claimed he got an offer from Cal, had a signing ceremony and everything.
  22. Probably the LaAllan Clark addition to the staff, perhaps he thinks he can make some headway.
