  1. He’s a unique case because of the reclassification, but he’s (ridiculously) perhaps shown enough arm talent already to have someone take a early flyer on him… QBs are that valuable, and the response by “experts” to the start of his career has been eye opening. Just in this thread, go back and watch the latest Klatt video and the 11 minute QB Guru dude who breaks down the All 22 views. How many QBs have you seen in recent years get this kind of attention? Lawrence maybe? And in his short time in college football, he’s had four months in Ryan Day’s tOSU Machine, and will have two years under Sarkisian, who turned Mac Jones into a first rounder. He’s getting some pretty damned good coaching to go with the prodigious natural ability. Imagine how good he could be following the ‘23 season.
  2. It’s just such an uneducated take, but so many national morons are parroting it. Quinn plays in Austin in ‘23, Arch watches and probably takes over in ‘24 after QE goes extremely high in the Draft.
  3. What a complete shit show. Pure incompetence by the Bears.
  4. There are some reaaallllly West Virginia looking people in the crowd
  5. BU only chance is to let them score Never mind, :30 left, one time out
  6. What in the fuck kind of call and execution…
  7. At the risk of sounding mega-douche, Paris is one of my favorite places on the planet, so I actually looked forward to the first episode… and made it about 20 minutes in, and still don’t know how I accomplished that.
  8. I read in the Twitter thumbnail, “Netflix programs like “Emily in Paris,” and thought anyone who watches that flaming piece of shit needs to pay full price, be forced to watch an hour of commercials for every five minutes of program and have a stale croissant shoved up their orifice.
  9. Phil’s an Executive Producer. You know he wanted to scream at the daughter, “Do you know how many fucking people try out for this show?” Probst has kinda done it on Survivor, a “fuck you” to quitters.
  10. I believe you’ve done a Mensa/Aziz Ansari mashup? Anyone else see they’ve created a Larry Hagman-like love child?
  11. So, who wins in the Perv Face-off, Venables or Ryan Day? I know who loses. The children.
  12. For evidence of “quit,” go to the play that begins at 3:36 in this video. The coaches had finally seen enough, and it was the last time Foster played a down at Texas.
  13. It’s their own fault. I escaped about 6-7 years ago after probably 25 years of it, and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. Don’t miss the aggravation at all. I now enjoy my Sundays/Mondays/Thursdays…
  14. That Raider LB is off the team tomorrow if I’m GM. Unconscionable on a FG try. Of course, I’d probably be a complete asshole as a GM…
  15. I’m just stunned someone mentioned Liebrock as being a factor in anything.
  16. Much better than the phony, General Patton act fronted by the asshole.
  17. Yes, “Your browser or device sucks, not available” message
  18. The kid can’t hang onto the football, so RB wouldn’t seem to be in his future. He obviously likes the weight room, have him throw on a few more lbs and move to defense. Because he ain’t a QB.
  19. I opened this because I thought it was about “player development,” but see it was a thread started in-game, complete with some Sark Still Sucks takes and other shit, but regarding player development… At the end of last year, Tope Imade made the rounds and was on a podcast/YouTube thing (maybe with Fat Ketch) in which he bemoaned it being his last year (even though he had what, 20?) because he had learned more under Flood/this staff in the last few months than in the previous five years. He had made a great leap, and it was one of the first times I’d heard of a concrete example of development. In the IT Postgame show after the OU game, Rod Babers told Burton Texas was always considered the place NFL teams would come to do “discount shopping” for players in free agency (maybe it was “bargain basement,” I don’t remember the specific term) because the League knew we had some talent, the previous staffs just weren’t developing the players, and the pro teams would be able to get them on the cheap rather than drafting them. We now have several players with early round potential. It’s good to have coaches who know how to scheme AND develop.
