  1. I’m assuming you have knowledge this shooting is related to the recruit “who shall not be named.” Seems he left the scene, so I’m wondering if he’s since been located. I’ll bet they find the gun in da bag.
  2. “The best in Texas leave Texas… in 8 to 10 years, depending on good behavior.”
  3. It’s gotta be Calicut, and since he’s committed to Georgia, we might hear of something bad behind the wheel…
  4. Coach Tom Herman (c’mon, we all know it’s actually him) posted the Nahlin tidbit in the ‘26 thread, so I’m going’s to assume it’s a player we offered from the 2026 class and has publicly stated an intention to attend a different university. Will this be revealed soon(ish), or are we abiding by UK defamation laws? Whatever it is, for RGBIII to correct to “life” from “career” means it’s apparently a humongous stain.
  5. SydneyCarton, trying to climb into that way too small sports car he bought with his bonus check
  6. That’s @closetojumping’s movie reference, I’m just acknowledging it
  7. I don’t think D3zii is solving any advanced math problems on an Harvard MIT chalkboard. But he may like apples.
  8. If they ever resurrect that likely misguided idea of a college football overlord board, it’s apparently supposed to be Saban and this dude, so I assume he feels untouchable
  9. Lea Thompson had great tits in All the Right Moves. That’s football related.
  10. Back to irrational grudges, I remember Geno Smith doing horns down 13 years ago, and have wanted him to fail spectacularly ever since, so I know my spite can last, oh let’s see, 13 years.
  11. Spoilering an opinion on today’s NYT Strands puzzle
  12. Even AF borders will be my new trademark, like signatures for CHIEF or that guy who hates cops.
  13. Is my post fucked up? I accidentally hit one of the edit functions before I started typing and it justified all the way to the right. I knew that was wrong, so I clicked another (far left) and it seemed ok 🤣. Sorry ‘bout that… (as I look at the current setting, default is the second from the left) (OK, I see my prior post is awfully uniform 😀.)
  14. I’m always surprised to hear people talk about “legacies” being locks (or leans). when the dads seemingly have very little to do with the Texas athletic program. I think Jermichael has been somewhat involved with us lately, but he’s not exactly Derrick Johnson or Huff. And I could be completely off base, but I can’t recall James Lott ever being involved in the last three plus decades (he was actually a much more successful track and field athlete than football player, so maybe he does T&F stuff and I don’t pay much attention to that). If Vince or Colt or DJ or any other Longhorn with active ties to UT ever has a stud athlete child that dismisses us, then I’ll be surprised. But I’m not too perplexed Finley or Lott (maybe) are headed elsewhere. Doesn’t mean I don’t think the hat toss wasn’t a shit move by Finley.
  15. We had a great year in ‘77, certainly overachieved with the QB situation, but I sat in the freezing Cotton Bowl, surrounded by ND assholes and watched them absolutely dismantle us, so any notion we were a play away from a national championship is not true.
  16. Wesley and Okpala (he said yesterday on the OTF livestream he prefers edge) are better than Carlton. If PK wants Jamarion, then I hope he chooses us, but as extra filthy Deadpool noted above, edge is in great shape currently.
  17. Yep, I promise you existing Tech OL are texting each other, “u see that shit?” Funny thing is, Ojo is skinny as fuck, too. I assumed he was a much bigger guy than Turntine, and that was why he was shooting past him on the 9.95 er rankings, but it’s probably wingspan/height, not bulk. I suspect it will be a couple years before he adds adequate weight, but with this ridiculous contract, will Tech be willing to wait that long? Oh yeah, don’t give a fuck. Really stupid offer.
  18. It’s also July 4. We haven’t lost shit, yet. Nor won anything. I’ll be extra concerned if deep into the season (when W-L records and funds are examined for legitimacy) we aren’t pulling in the players we need to continue to compete with the Georgias and Ohio States of the CFB world. I really like many of the recruits who have pledged a “commitment” so far, and if the season plays out like I expect it to, if the Texas checks continue to cash (they will) and if Simmons/Goosbys/etc develop as they should, our coaches will have a great sales pitch, likely far better than just about any program.
  19. On OTF he said he brings versatility as a LB, but admitted he sees himself as more of an edge. His coaches talked about how the concept of “positionless football” was perfect for Kosi. I’m glad we beat out Penn State, because they would seem to have a great track record to sell, with Parsons/Abdul Carter as prototypes. His tape is great, deserves more hype as a pick-up. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/15261697/67327a3f001106a963bc9658
