  1. This is a .500 team all day long and a recipe for mediocrity in the league
  2. I always had a thing for her. RIP
  3. Voted today in East College Station(Katy). Busy but walked right in at lunchtime. Fuck Trump and Cruz.
  4. Eyes to the skies. One of the strangest but effective deliveries. RIP
  5. Got both Flu and Covid vaccines last week with no side effects
  6. Pure coaching malpractice by Ryan’s and Slowik. The last offensive play was offensive.
  7. Retiring at the end of this month after 40 years. My tuition was $4 a credit hour. Books and tuition were about $500 a semester.
  8. That’s an excellent price. I have a 3700h and paid $1500 for it two years ago
  9. Kemah, Clear Lake, League City are his best bets
  10. And who can forget McDowell’s.
  11. Gordy the weatherman. RIP
  12. The problem for me with the show is that it’s trying to be The Sopranos of the financial world with the major characters as anti-heroes. But there’s no one to root for, every single character is a pos with no redeeming qualities. There’s also virtually no humor and this show could use some levity. Pure intensity wears thin to me.
  13. Saw it tonight. Fantastic fun.
  14. A surviving spouse gets their benefit or 100% of the dead spouse’s benefit, whichever is higher if the dead spouse has reached FRA. Reduced accordingly on a monthly basis if dead spouse didn’t reach FRA
  15. There is no advantage to waiting after70. SS maxes out at 70 no matter how long you live thereafter. There are also good tax reasons to wait until FRA if you want to work between 62 and FRA
  16. I reach my FRA in January(66 and 8 months). I’m in no rush so it will be sometime between 67 and 70. At FRA I’ll qualify for around $3500 per month and for every month past FRA you get 2/3% additional until 70.
  17. Gene Peterson died. A great broadcaster and the city's biggest booster of The Rockets, especially during the Hakeem years.
  18. Apparently died in his sleep last night. Funny guy, a cheerleader for Houston and the Astros and well known in the sports and entertainment fields in the city.
  19. An electrician we have used before who installed outside up lighting for us. He charged $500 and it took him 4-5 hours. Jeyson Carrasco of Houston Northpoint Electric. Because it’s mounted next to and made a part of your electric panel make sure you use a master electrician.
  20. I live in East College Station(Katy) and we bought a portable generator after the freeze in 2021 when ERCOT screwed up. We have a dual fuel 9500 watt Westinghouse and had a transfer switch installed. It’s enough to run everything downstairs including A/C or heat. 5 gallons of gas will last around 16 hours and a bbq tank of propane will last around 12 hours. You do not need to run it continuously. It can be shut off for awhile and turned back on if the temperature gets too hot(or cold) for you inside. The generator is also remote start and stop.
