Holy hell that’s absolutely awful.- Ads
Happened to me too…I had adception at one point with the Safari/Tapa pop up on top of an ad on top of a ‘see new posts’ dialog box on top of the actual content. That’s how I ended up spending $12,000 on United Rentals.- 2022 Election Day Thread - Midterm Rumble
Dude people out there believe the earth is flat, raided a pizza parlor to free imaginary trapped children and that Apollo was faked Don’t bother- Bitcoin and other crypto-The CR thread
Ok so inflation is up, the broader market is down 20+% this year, and the DT/6th Street Journal crowd have been crowing about both as a reflection of our current admin. Let’s checkin with bitcoin to see how well it hedged against these ‘headwinds’- LED light bulbs
Think I have those same BR40 and they’ve lasted like 8 years so far, being used regularly. But otherwise agree on LEDs I’ve bought through Costco, they die in a few years…seems it’s not the element itself but shitty electronics on the driver.- Lauren Boobert - Tits and a Gun
See the Kari Lake thread…Cement et al a week ago all bravado, suddenly got a bit quiet over there.- Loser cunt Kari Lake is holding Trumpy rallies now
So 78% reporting. What’s the consensus expected outcome? A page or two back, a few of our resident friends were bragging on Lake- Celebrity Death Pool - 2022
Yeah like a lot of folks he was hilarious when I was a kid. He was actually at the ROT rally like a decade ago, and his humor really didn’t age well…and my buddies were like ‘was he always this racist?’ but it def suited the audience- Elon Musk: Nazi traitor piece of shit [Confirmed]
Maybe they should move for a bad court thingy- Lauren Boobert - Tits and a Gun
She reminds me of a few of my friend’s wives, who got all into real estate 5-10 years ago with inane fervor. Now that the market has cooled way off their desperate Facebook pleas to sell listings suddenly gave way to desperately-upbeat MLM supplement sales. Flavor of the day.- Elon Musk: Nazi traitor piece of shit [Confirmed]

In all seriousness I bet Tesla and SpaceX are loving this, while Musk fucks with his $44B fidget spinner, the other two companies he ‘runs’ are likely relieved to get down to work without him twiddling with everything. When I ran Tac Ops for a VP, I just need his decision then to get the hell out of the way so I could execute to his thoughts on comp and ben, travel, headcount horse trading, etc. When dad was still AD USAF he’d loathe visits by O7+ types because real work ground to a halt as all his airmen had to do sad shit like clean out the smoke pit and rake leaves…not doing those things would inevitably lead to some O5 EA passing on that General So and So was going to personally conduct the next readiness, thus making everyone else miserable. Can’t imagine what a visit by Musk be like.- Lauren Boobert - Tits and a Gun
Latest drop widened the lead. Sucks but appears he won’t get it, but damn was it close. I’m sure Boobert says ‘mandate’ a few dozen times in the next week.- Lauren Boobert - Tits and a Gun

Colorado heavy on mail ins that need signature verification- Elon Musk: Nazi traitor piece of shit [Confirmed]
Fair enough, obviously everyone’s experience is different and a bit unique based on a myriad of factors across the company. - We always had a lot of folks on the phone, even for in-person meetings…life of a global footprint - I’ve found this to be true…but it depends on who I am working with. Someone who likes to be chatty, or is lonely? Then it’s gonna drag on because there’s no one knocking on the room door to kick you out. - Can totally see missing hallway chats…my own team was hybrid for years, are all long-tenured and got to establish personal relationships before Covid. We are comfortable using Teams to throw shit against the walls and waiting for feedback. Obviously not all teams are like that. - I personally feel more productive, but I don’t really work hours anymore…if I’m busy I’ll focus and bust ass…if I’m not I’m taking a nap, and am more recharged for when it’s full tilt boogie time. I’ve got two young kiddos so I get Daddy’d to death regularly, so very much enjoy a quiet house to recharge in my own way. I also eat better, save gas/wear on my car, shit in peace, etc. My point isn’t really pro/con, it’s more being a proponent for organic policies that suit the unique needs of individual people…not paying blanket policies that pigeonhole people based on perceptions of execs I have never met. Sorta like my political stance.- Lauren Boobert - Tits and a Gun
Nowhere near over and despite mass confusion on how many ballots are left and from where, most are still predicting she wins. Regardless it wasn’t supposed to be close so I’m glad she’s sweating it out.- Elon Musk: Nazi traitor piece of shit [Confirmed]
I’ll never understand the hatred of WFH for industries that can support it. Obviously if you’re working the line at Tesla, on an engineering team at SpaceX, or otherwise close to some kind of manufacturing/assembly then it’s a requirement. Maybe it suites his vanity or he’s using anecdotal experience, regardless I think he’s wrong for blanket policies. You’d think shifting the infrastructure costs onto your employees would be a good way to save money, especially at a place like Twitter with no hard product. I bet they see more brain drain. Thankfully my employer has a long history of enabling remote work, and is on the record as being comfortable with a hybrid capability. The few times I’ve gone into the office there is a mix of people practically in PJs and others in full suites, and if it is what works best for them…great. There’s been no decline in corporate performance.- Elon Musk: Nazi traitor piece of shit [Confirmed]
Alright so a guy literally known as NoName…on a forum full of aging assholes who hand whataburger bags of cash to tight ends, sent a member dressed as Pedobear to a football game, harbored the rock thrower and gave a bolt-on cam girl the courage to run for city council…has more business sense and cohesive arguments than the richest guy in the world. No wonder none of my friends take me up on joining here, I can’t explain this shit.- 2022 Election Day Thread - Midterm Rumble
I’ve had to stop following on Twitter and just assume Boobert is going to eek it out…there’s insane over analysis on mail vs in-person, totals by counties, etc. Latest is 1k uncounted in Mesa county could be the chunk that gets her over the top.- Lauren Boobert - Tits and a Gun
Colorado done counting for the night per Thorongil. Looking gloomy based on those found ballots.- Lauren Boobert - Tits and a Gun
