  1. They're there because they feel like they have to be, but they're bored. In other words, it's church.
  2. I guarantee if an intrepid reporter had Trump's attention and asked him to give the name of the attendee who died, he would not remember the name of Corey Comperatore.
  3. There are teams who will never be blue bloods but are usually respectable and would often spoil someone else's season in the BCS/4-team days. Okie Lite is one of them. Others teams in that weird little echelon were Ole Miss, Wisconsin, Oregon State, Louisville, Iowa, South Carolina, K-State. I'm sure I'm missing a few, but those are teams that didn't spend a lot of time in the top ten, but were known for keeping better teams out of contention.
  4. The bullet was not close enough to his ear to do any damage (if it had been close enough, the damage would have been much greater). The best explanation I've seen is that the bleeding was caused by his fingernail. https://www.threads.net/@clancy123457/post/C93DY0exr_3
  5. It makes sense from the standpoint of he's first ballot HOF at office politics and probably should quit coaching.
  6. Just noticed this subtle (and hilarious) exercise of editorial license in the photo caption
  7. It's Darien gap, you fucking moron Like Braz_ga said, that isn't even it
  8. Not hard at all to imagine this could have been caused by someone not wiping down their equipment at the gym, or some other mundane source
  9. AesPolitics1 should probably learn to distinguish azgenxdad69 from the Kamala Harris campaign.
  10. How is it there are fewer RVs in 2024 than in 2020? https://dos.fl.gov/elections/data-statistics/voter-registration-statistics/voter-registration-reports/voter-registration-by-party-affiliation/ Also, remember FL is a closed primary state. Party affiliation may not matter as much.
  11. https://www.si.com/college/texas/news/mike-gundy-suggests-ex-texas-longhorns-coach-mack-brown-as-potential-cfb-commissioner-01j952d5gn0d
  12. JRE was perfect for the guy who has an office job, a 30+ minute commute, and a gym routine. Long-form conversations, variety, and an easy-to-skip ad read at the beginning. Back in the 2010s it was like 40% comedians/performers, 20% martial artists, 20% obscure experts (journalists, hunters, CEOs, hackers, physicians), 5% pure academia people (researchers, professors), and 15% internet personalities (youtubers, podcasters). He started booking some of the Intellectual Dark Web guys like 2013-2014, but it wasn't really until the Trump administration that they started to get booked way more often. I stopped being a regular listener probably around the same time Trump took office, and every time I check back in he gets more and more unhinged. Covid, then moving to Austin, then the Spotify deal, now he's booking guys like Matt Walsh and Peter Thiel and running an incel mothership at the Ritz. Fuck him.
  13. Has anyone asked John Kirby if Lebannon has a right to self defense?
  14. A lot of the people who are paying attention and have been paying attention for months, we aren't the audience for this. We've grown accustomed to the clapbacks, epic takedowns, and general theatrics. We winced at several missed opportunities to rip Vance's head off and shit down his neck, but that's because we know how much of a danger and liar Vance is. The people who were just barely getting to know these candidates aren't looking for the things we're looking for. I think that's why Walz's results are exceeding what we thought they'd be.
  15. That was different. We were supposed to be greeted as liberators!
  16. Who has the legend/table/glossary that says who all these P5s are
  17. I don't agree with it, but the Harris campaign has you on a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet says you're white and independent. The data gurus project that, if you do bother to show up and vote, you're more likely to vote for Trump. That's why Trump is lovebombing you (he needs you, BIGLY) and Harris wouldn't lose sleep if you forgot to show up and vote (since they have you pegged as likely to vote Trump). It's bizarre to me since all her messaging has been trying to court moderates, so you would think her ground game would be aligned with that messaging, but here we are.
  18. Legally, probably because free speech and all that But it could incite a social media shitstorm she and you don't need
  19. I'm re-watching, and there's a lot of ammo here for painting Vance as insincere, disingenuous, and elitist. He denied the pregnancy registry that's part of Project 2025, the people for whom he's writing forewords
