  1. Don’t make fun, it was the 90’s after all. Lots of pleated slacks and extra large golf shirts
  2. We finally agree on something. The bush family is awesome. I played golf with HW at a Secret Service golf tourney I was flown in for in Houston. And tennis with him at Chuck Norris’ Kick Drugs out of America tourney in the 90’s which was ironic since I’m sure I had traces of X in my system. All of them are the nicest people. HW was a certifiable badass. And I’m so glad Bush Jr hates trump as much I as I do. Me on far left, HW in center with his right hand man SS agent next to him. Gray haired dude was married to daughter of the owner and founder of Michael’s Stores and picked me up at love field and flew me down in their G5.
  3. TAYLORMADE SOLD – KEY TAKEAWAYS: Breaking News: TaylorMade sold to a Korean Private Equity firm for $1.6 billion. KPS Financial bought TaylorMade from adidas in 2017 for $425 million. Sale comes amidst reports of the highest industry-wide Q1 golf equipment sales on record. We’re hearing rumblings this morning the rumored sale of TaylorMade is now a reality. Today’s Korea Economic Daily Global Edition is reporting that TaylorMade has been sold to Centroid Investment Partners, a Korean Private Equity firm for $1.6 billion. The newspaper reports it is the largest-ever acquisition in the golf industry. The deal is expected to be finalized in July. $1.6 billion is a hefty price tag. KPS Financial LP, a New York-based private equity firm, purchased TaylorMade, Adams and Ashworth from adidas four years ago for $425 million. At the time, it was believed KPS would streamline and restructure TaylorMade with an eye towards selling it at a tidy profit. We’d say $1.6 billion – roughly four times the original investment – qualifies as mission accomplished.
  4. Of course it ends with a W in OT, where they couldn’t win all year
  5. I can’t believe he is driving again after that accident. Setting aside the fact that he seems like he is a bad driver.

  12. Maybe they took it out of context when he said he would hit that...
  13. Hayden Christensen is so wooden, he is an affront to puppets everywhere. First actor that came to mind was Keanu yet I always enjoy seeing him on film, can’t explain that. I agree that the main problem is his voice inflection. A good actor that can almost make a good performance bad due to his voice alone is Kevin Costner. Every time he tries an accent it’s horrible.
  14. Wow I hadn’t thought about Tenison Park since the late 80’s. My most vivid memory is playing on the course that was closest to I-30. It was middle of August and cooking, hardly anyone on course. I was playing with a buddy and while on the fairway we heard a rustling in the bushes and this big black dude (no racist) came out wearing fatigues! We were a bit nervous as he came out of the woods toward us then we spotted that he had two huge clear plastic bags full of golf balls. He asked if we wanted to buy some balls and I was like “of course man, I’ll buy all you want” lulz. It must have left like Vietnam in the jungle
  15. This is the prudent thing to do. I’ve never thought the Cowboys were good enough in rounds 2 and 3 to acquire multiple picks there while passing on a first rounder that could help immediately. Pittsburgh and Baltimore almost always stay put and take the best player at the position they need and they are constantly competitive. Stay put and take Slater or Surtain, if they are gone, take the next highest player on their board sans QB and move on. Moving down for multiple 3rd, 4th and 5th round picks in the future is maddening.
