OK... Been drinking and thinking.
I watched a couple of Manning HS games. Most of his work was in the run game on those games. OK, cool. Hookem.
Arch is never going to be Peyton or Eli. Ever. Different physical and mental. No problem, just recognize. He's not a 3-5-7.
Right now, he has the yips - for real. Never been this inaccurate. It's mental. Something isnt right with Arch. He's swimming mentally. He's throwing balls at the feet of open receivers - regularly. That's a processing breakdown somewhere. He did not get here on his name and throwing the ball in the ground. Something is happening. People are open and he holds the ball until theyre covered or he's throwing at their feet.
Having said that, I'm calling for a "Let Arch be Arch" offense. He is not going to flip a switch and execute the Sark offense this season. He's not comfortable. Call more designed runs and run options...
If Sark makes one call to Mack and Greg (which I don't recommend) I hope the one thing they tell him is that he needs to maximize the QBs talents and do what he's comfortable doing vs forcing a system on him.
David Ash would have won a heisman on this team.
