  1. I don't think monetary payments are the solution (as I meetings in a previous post). I do think money is the path of least resistance and better than nothing. "Move forward" is hard to do when the pace of movement is determined by the past and there is a compound effect. It would be great if everyone really meant 'move forward'.
  2. Nice try. Where the Billionaires are is Irrelevant to the topic... And supports the statement I made. Entertain and you can be a billionaire. Otherwise, there are two in the US. What's your point again? How is that relevant to how the country was built?
  3. You mean rich like the Greenwood District before it was burned to the ground and all the rich negroes were pretty much killed? Is that the type of class issue you see it as? Unfortunately, the US has a REAL history of not allowing the black race to attain "rich" (wealthy) UNLESS it is via the entertainment of white people. It's not just class. There are, what, two first generation black billionaires that are not entertainers. 2.5 if you want to include Alex Karp. Fwiw, any / all U.S. black billionaires are first gen (there are about 12, including the entertainers.) All of the FAANG founders are first gen wealthy. Any one of them has more wealth than all of the US black billionaires combined. Hell, I know caterers / restauranteurs who are worth mid-8 figures. They weren't born rich. They were born (and still are) white. Did they work to get there? Of course. Are they unique for working hard? Not at all. We know people right here on this site that are rich and it wasn't because they came from rich class... It's also not solely because they are white, but if you think the access to opportunity was the same for them as any black person, I would like to offer you a prime piece of ocean front property adjacent to South Mountain. Look, I celebrate for everyone who makes it and everyone who is going to, but let's not bullshit ourselves. The wealth of this country was built on "a race issue". They don't think it be that way, but it do be. Suspicious.
  4. Opportunities (higher education, access to job opportunities, livable equal wages, access to credit, etc, et al) would make great reparations. But we know this isn't going to be a thing on a systemic scale, so for those of you who want to repair, be the change and whatnot. Be suspicious.
  5. Minced meat? Smoked meat? Definitely not plant based meat. But I get where you're going.
  6. Rising tide. One Platform cuts costs for the providers. Notice they're in cost cutting mode at the networks. They're ok with paying the leagues, because without the leagues, there is no content. The leagues could make their own streaming service, but might as well let the networks do it and incur those costs, while the leagues focus on their core offerings. They all win. They know how to measure the value, and will share it accordingly.
  7. I'm always Suspicious, so this hits close to home.
  8. I guess I should just stick to 1794 for price to taste.
  9. And I still won't be able to watch the Rockets and Astros. Shit's rigged.
  10. Was not at TW. But now I know.

    Getting old sucks

One hip bothers me a lot - especially when I'm sleeping on my left side (which is most of the time that I'm asleep, so I'm also sleeping like crap). I think I sat too much over the last two years. I damn sure haven't exercised. Ringing in the ears is not even a ring, just a constant high pitched sound that I thought was me drinking too much (I was, but that isn't it). I need to go for an annual and do all the 45+ shit that I haven't done yet at soon to be 53. I'm probably dead at the moment.
  12. Dont know what this is, so I probably paid too much for it.
  13. A simar lineup came out last night, but with Tate instead of Eason. Lots of dunks and easy baskets happened. The ball moved a lot. It would have been even better with Eason instead of Tate.
  14. Man, I want Tate to work on his offense with Dream and Sengun. He's a thick, athletic dude, but his hands and brain seem disconnected like he just isn't sure what to do or where to be.
