  1. TBH, I'd never heard of him before. But I'm kind of old!
  2. Damn. That is a really twisted story.
  3. What does the Surly Nation say about Red Ash? I have a business dinner there tomorrow night. The octopus appetizer is speaking to me.

Really liked that place for Ohio State game. Perfect venue for us. Maybe some bad mojo due to the final score!

Yes. That place, Texas Chili Parlor, The Tavern, Crown & Anchor, and Scholtz's are all that is really left of Austin, IMO.
  6. Doing my part. I have paid for 7 guests thus far. Weather looks solid. Should be a great event! Hook 'em!
  7. Agree that is a bad location. Not sure why they are there. They would totally kick butt in Uptown (or Downtown).
  8. I don't disagree. Great bar. Pappas Bros. is best steak place in Dallas.
  9. Chi-O. Chi-o. it's off to bed we go...
  10. Cannot wait until TxAgs picks up this thread!
  11. Right. He was so violent and such a threat to civil society. Get real.
  12. I'm fine with that if there is really "life without parole" - not sure that is less a punishment than execution. If found guilty, that guy is looking at 50+ years incarcerated.
  13. Whatever. I think that we bend over backwards to be fair on capital offense matters. A civil society requires that some folks cannot live amongst us.
  14. That is a very fair analysis. Ridic how much we will have to spend to kill him or shelter him for life! No easy choices.
  15. I love you and respect your opinions - but if found guilty, death by firing squad seems especially appropriate in this case.
