Absolutely. Also, the Bob Newhart Show episode where Emily goes to Seattle for Thanksgiving, leaving Bob at home by himself and Jerry, Carlin, Howard, and Peterson come over and get drunk and order Chinese food.

As an Army kid, I remember about once a month some kid in my school lost their dad in combat in Vietnam. I was about 10 years old (1968) but it left an ever lasting impression on how happiness can change so quickly. Never will forget the day my good friend told me his dad got killed when his helicopter got shot down.
Yep. I'll never forget my Cub Scout Den Mother showing us the helmet of her newly deceased helicopter pilot husband and father of one of my fellow Cub Scouts.

I'm becoming ambivalent about run ruling the roaches. It may be better for their pain to endure for two more innings.

Getting ahead of myself, but this would be a great way to close out this series:
6.5. 5 10-Run Rule. ... By Conference rule, however, in Big 12 Conference play, the mercy-rule (10-run lead after the seventh inning) will be enforced only for double-headers, the last playing opportunity of a series and the non-championship games of the Big 12 Championship.
Who knew? Glorious.

And that is the way it should be. Unless your last name is Kardashian -- errrything doesn't have to happen in public. I never post anything on those internet obit sites. That shit is between me and the family.

As a freshman, I lived in Jester and rode the elevator with Jim Bertelsen any number of times. Everyone in that dorm was pretty much in awe of the football players and you didn’t go out of your way to speak when riding with them unless they initiated the conversation. Bertelsen, however, was approachable. He projected a kind demeanor and didn’t look like he’d pile drive you if you said, “Hi”. Our conversations were brief, but they left a big impression on an 18 year old frosh.
It must suck to be a famous guy just doing life. I usually just give them a nod to let them know that I know. The fuckers trying to get photos and autographs are insufferable. Michael Dell and his family just trying to have brunch at Chez Zee was a beating.

Sex and the City had no business being ranked in this category. The only obvious miss to me was "Newhart", the 80's era show with Bob Newhart as a New England inkeeper. That show's finale had the classic dream sequence ending where he wakes up with Suzanne Pleshette (his "Bob Newhart Show" wife) in their "Bob Newhart Show" bedroom stage set. Such a great inside joke.
Very cool that Gary Shandling had two shows on that list. He was a comedic genius.

Constitutional Carry just passed by the Texas Senate 18-13.
Back to the House for concurrence, then to Abbott’s desk.
That crashing sound you just heard was the collapse of the whole CHL training industry in Texas.

I have to go to a dinner party where one guest requested nothing be cooked with onions.
Fuck you. Stay home.
We had a deer lease way back when wherein one of the lease members had a kid that hated onions and garlic. We all liked to cook good food and always served whatever the hell we wanted to. That kid was cordially invited to enjoy our never-ending supply of peanut butter, jelly, and white bread. The kid eventually grew out of it.
TLDR -- Sad that your dinner party guest never got tough love out at a deer lease.

Yeah we had a crazy bitch that dropped twins 3 years in a row. Only took to one of them. Third time I said fuck this noise I’m tired of bottle feeding and colostrum ain’t cheap. Had two other heifers have twins since then and both mommas took to both babies. Damnedest thing
Hence, the popularity of veal.

Ridiculous that City of Austin has owned this Home Depot site with 13+ acres of land for more than a decade and hasn't done a damn thing with it. Instead, Adler wants to buy a bunch of hotels at above-market values.
https://austin.towers.net/imagining-homeless-housing-at-austins-vacant-city-owned-home-depot/
Cause and effect? Kathy Tovo introduces a resolution directing the City Manager to find city-owned land that might accommodate temporary housing with the goal of "end[ing] homelessness in Austin."

Well I know him a little personally and seen him at work when he’s not in public, and although I disagree with him on very many things he’s done more to help actual people in actual moments of crisis with no cameras present than anyone else in elected office in Travis county, or you or me.
You don’t have to like it and neither do I, he walks the talk.We have common ground -- almost all politicians are worthless!

Hold up.
Greg Casar is a good human being and an absolutely fantastic advocate for his until-recently-extremely-neglected district who worked, no bullshit, 20 hours a day making sure people here had water, food, and heating during our march ice storm while the heroes of your party (including, IIRC, the guy you voted for in the 2016 primary) fled to Cancun and blamed AOC for their failures to force power plants to winterize. While he was out distributing blankets and rounding up canned goods your team was on twitter. He is also a 31 year old DSA leader who isn't the mayor of anything. You people with your conspiracy bullshit crack me up. Greg Casar wants to decriminalize almost everything that isn't violence. Whatever it is he's doing, he comes by it honestly.
Casar is the prototypical central casting "community organizer" who has never done a thing other than activism. I don't trust Wikipedia, but this looks pretty accurate about him from what I've read: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Casar

Personally I think the solution should be anyone who makes more than 10 million dollars a year and personally donates a dime to any political candidate or PAC gets an automatic audit.
I mean if you have done nothing wrong you’ve got nothing to worry about, right? And they can afford a simple audit where they’ve done nothing wrong no doubt.
I truly hope that you simply left the /sarc tag off of this post.

Same here. It's why I mostly avoid crowded concerts and festivals. On the rare occasions I do attend, I stay well to the back/sides.
Front row balcony is my jam. Will never do open festival or floor seating no matter who is playing.

I'm sure that the mastermind lawyer at the top of Comerica Tower in Dallas is patting Wayne on the head and telling him "this is working out great, we've got 'em right where we want them" and also, "here is our most recent invoice for the work completed through yesterday midnight, we'd appreciate a wire transfer payment before the cutoff time tomorrow."
