  1. We picked up and dropped off a passenger at the ABIA South Terminal before and after the 4th of July holiday weekend. Amazing how easy that was. Kind of like olden days. Of course, the COA fought/litigated with a client of former Mayor Adler's firm to buy out their (very recently signed) long-term lease and make that terminal part of the overall suckage that ABIA has become. Good times.
  2. Black Canyon of the Gunnison is way underrated. The bride and I came across it while we spent a couple of weeks exploring Colorado before kids. I'd never heard of it before and was impressed. Not as touristy as other places that get more publicity.
  3. The new Georgetown store seems to have reduced the traffic at the Cedar Park store this week. Easier to dash in and get NY Strips and wine and then GTFO. (I am a buyer -- not a shopper!)
  4. Lots of stuff going vertical out that way. Who knew that there would be tons of multi-family and light industrial/office all of the way to Lockhart?
  5. You are doing the Lord's work on this Board! Thanks, buddy.
  6. I hope that you aren't complaining about the rain. True Texans never complain about rain! Maybe inconvenient sometimes, but always welcome.
  7. Matt's did a Section 1031 exchange for the Four Season's dirt on First Street for the South Lamar location and a small ranch on Lake Austin. It's good to own dirt in Austin.
  8. 220, 221 -- whatever it takes to make Bob Cole go away.
  9. Anybody thinking that Mercer could be a starter? He did pretty good at ND before his injury and rehab season -- and he was effective out of the pen when rehabbing this past season.
  10. I have never owned an Apple product.
  11. I always answer "Christmas" when asked if red or green!
  12. I have cousins in AMA, and my daughter worked as a nurse there. They all think that it is a great under the radar place. Cool stuff going on downtown and plenty of non-chain food these days. Well situated for quick trips to mountains in NM and CO.
  13. Good night and good luck. Special Report - A business where human bodies were butchered, packaged and sold https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-usa-bodies-business-specialreport-idINKBN1EL0ZA
  14. Somewhere along the way the bride and I came to own two older electric turkey roasters (I don't think that we bought either of them). They do a great job of holding finished briskets, pork shoulders, et al. at a serving temperature -- they hold forever at temps much lower than a standard oven. Something like this one:
  15. Not at all. Easy drive. Fun and low key.
  16. Right around $200, I think, a little less than $5 a pound. I didn't have to special order it, but they only had two in their freezer and I got the smaller one. The business centers have great meat like specialty roasts, and some other whole animals like lamb and goat. I think that lots of small restaurants must shop there. BTW, the little fellow met his fate this weekend. Delicious!
  17. How did Nicole not bring this story to our attention? At least 16 bodies pulled from Chicago waterways since 2022, promoting serial killer fears: ‘Not just a coincidence anymore’ https://nypost.com/2023/06/28/16-bodies-pulled-from-chicago-waterways-spark-serial-killer-fears/
  18. Cell phones do the trick for me, plus I never wear any kind of jewelry. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.
  19. Managing Partner at my firm was famous for smoking, drinking, talking on the phone, and doing a manual transmission in his truck, all at the same time. And he only had two arms and hands.
