  1. OK, but my Spidey sense is that there may be another shoe about to drop. The R's may be trying to get out ahead of it. No special knowledge other than age informed by experience.
  2. I have no special knowledge, but I think that there is, as Paul Harvey always said -- the rest of the story, that is yet to come. Where did Nate Paul's money come from? What is the truth about all of the Collin County litigation that he kept bottled up? Why the hell hasn't his wife divorced him yet? I don't expect that the answers to the above and whatever else that comes out will be positive for the AG.
  3. Hey, Sip! That wool isn't gonna judge itself! Whoop!
  4. We have threads where folks are wondering if they drink too much -- that seems very likely around here. BBQ too much -- that seems highly unlikely anywhere.
  5. Pos rep for your drink of choice and all the work that you do on this thread!
  6. Wasn't gonna go there, but thank you.

I need to try Julie's. We have relatives out that way and are always trying to find new places.

Jardin Corona in downtown Marble Falls is fair to acceptable lately. P.S. None of the restaurants have enough employees lately, though.
  9. Old news? Teacher Retirement System Site Sells in Downtown Austin’s Innovation District https://austin.towers.net/teacher-retirement-system-site-sells-in-downtown-austins-innovation-district/?pro=caitlyn@towers.net
  10. I didn't support him in the primary, but I also wasn't going to vote for some flunky former ACLU staffer in the general election.
  11. I lean hard R, but I've never been a fan of Paxton. Just way too much stink on him. And there is no amount of money that would be worth advocating on behalf of Nate Paul. I'm not saying that Nate Paul is tied up with the Mexican drug syndicates or anything like that.
  12. Not at all. Ridic that we have had so many worthless folks in that role. And thanks for your service as our resident librarian.
  13. Quite the row of heroes! (Fixed, thanks the eagle eye of our resident librarian!)
  14. I'll defer to whatever @ChiTownDoc says, but I like his Topolobampo on N. Clark Street.
  15. The Big Red was a good call.
  16. I knew one of the guys that used to manage New Orleans Club. He was later one of the main players behind Donn's Depot and El Arroyo. Fun places.
  17. Thanks for proving my point. If you can't argue for free market barbecue on a football message board without offending somebody, we are doomed.
  18. I love you guys, and not trying to go full CR, but isn't this another great example of why free markets seem to work so well?
  19. That's not fair to Brat -- we all are interested in pics!
  20. This is a great story. I look forward to seeing how it all plays out.
  21. Agreed. I am not a Pierce hater, I just wonder sometimes...
  22. They both did OK as Texas baseball coaches, I think.
