  1. I don't know the answer to your question, but there's a distinct possibility that this search is all for show and they just land on Finley. I'm not opposed to Finley at all, but it would be nice to see if there are any other good candidates.
  2. If we’re going to go with a former player, I would just assume give Finley a shot.
  3. I will also say it's a shame the new guy is going to come in with very limited draft capital. I would have liked someone who actually values the draft more, but they won't get a chance to make a pick until next summer.
  4. Are you being dense on purpose? They made the conference finals twice in 5 years and won the whole thing when they had a top 3 player in the league. That's not even close to Portland.
  5. It looks to me like he's been at the helm ever since they got good. They made the playoffs every year he was GM except last season. Made the 2nd round 5 years in a row including a trip to at least the conference finals twice. We would all kill for a 5 year stretch like that. Even if Kawhi was the one to get them over the top, he would have Luka here.
  6. Ticket brought up an idea I hadn't thought about: Carlisle to the front office?
  7. Shit moving quick: Doesn't sound like Bob will be the guy.
  8. Why do you think that? Just curious.
  9. This was my first thought as well.
  10. I don't think ousting him is going to fix it. You still have the three-headed monster at the top who have the best job security in the league.
  11. The sources in this article have to be coming from someone in Donnie's camp, right? I don't think the timing of this is coincidental.
  12. That article, if all that is true, is....concerning.
  13. I would personally let him see what he can get on the market. No need to bid against ourselves.
  14. So if we were to pull the trigger on KP, convince me Wiggins wouldn't be a good fit. The money appears to work, he seems to have found his 3 pt shot, and he started playing some decent defense this season. He also has one fewer year on his deal than KP. In that scenario you would probably have to play pretty small but all starters could shoot the 3: Luka THJ (39%) DFS (39%) Wiggins (38%) Maxi?? (41%) Seems like we'd get absolutely killed on the boards. Or maybe you don't re-sign THJ in that scenario and go after another free agent. I'm really concerned about overpaying for THJ. I love the dude, but you cannot pay that guy $20 million.
  15. This has to be a true up, right? Perhaps there were some delays from Memorial Day weekend? If that is a true number, then that's pretty concerning.
  16. Donnie was interviewed on the Fan and geez he's an awful interview. "Ya know...ya know...ya know". Basically had a very PC way of saying Luka needs to share the ball more. I mean seriously? He put this roster around him and it's clear they can't create a shot to save their life. I've been somewhat level-headed after the loss, but the interview really did not paint Donnie in a good light at all. I really hope it was just GM-speak and that he's going to work some magic, but if that's his true evaluation of what transpired, we are in deep trouble with him.
  17. Is that website one I should know? Looks pretty sketch.
  18. I think any deal involving KP is going to involve Brunson. They're going to have to overpay to get rid of him. Portland might be a little more enticed by that deal since they would add another ballhandler who still plays on his rookie deal next season. But honestly, I don't see a ton of great options.

Agreed on this. Bayern is on the verge of buying him. It also hurts that Aaron Long suffered a bad injury. He was at least adequate.
  20. You're setting yourself up for disappointment.
  21. I think that's all you can ask for at this point. Just keep having more shots than cases for as long as possible.

So just re-watched the extended highlights and I knew Ream was bad watching live, but he was way worse 2nd viewing. I say it all the time, but I have no idea what type of blackmail Ream has on the previous 3 or 4 coaches to keep getting the amount of run he does. Chris Richards is going to have to take that spot or we are in trouble. I'll own up to the CP call I made. I thought he looked tired in his last 3 or 4 Chelsea matches and he looked tired here as well. I know he wasn't getting much of the ball, but Gio was dealing with the same issues and was very influential when he was in. Glad he came through in the clutch and buried the PK.
