  1. What on Earth makes you think they overrate their roster? Doesn't the fact that they made several moves this past offseason indicate they know they had areas of need? Do you also think they are satisfied with the roster as it currently sits? You know the answers to these questions but you seem to want to complain for the purpose of complaining.
  2. I'm not arguing against the rebounding and D needing to be better. The D was really good until we lost everyone two weeks ago. Surely they can find it again.
  3. Can we assume, based on this, that if J&J actually did a two-dose regiment that it would see similar results?
  4. To add to this, the three best players (Luka, KP, & Richardson) are shooting 30% or under from 3 on the season so far. If that doesn't get better, no amount of coaching is going to change things. You cannot have the 7th most attempts in the league and be 30th in %.
  5. This is why I wish we could somehow pull off giving everyone an antibody test before hand. That way if you only need 1, your 2nd dose could go to someone else further back in line. I guess that's just adding more red tape, though.
  6. Firing the coach has come up in every season thread for probably the last 4 or 5 years. I didn’t single you out. Not sure why you took it that way.
  7. What are you talking about? Firing Rick literally comes up every season from the mouth breathers.
  8. Do I need to remind everyone of the stupid amount of roster turnover after 2011? We floated in no man’s land for 5 seasons before we finally decided to tank. Pointing to playoff series wins is a stupid argument. He’s clearly been out-gunned roster wise just about every postseason.
  9. My concern is that RC is going to have lost the team by the time the “hellish part of the schedule” is over. In hindsight, the blowout when we were short-handed should have been a red flag. We still had our two best players but we’re being ran out of the gym
  10. Cuban fired Avery after taking a team to the finals and being a number 1 seed the next year. That’s a stupid statement.
  11. Guys, we get it. You think Rick is the problem. You’ve made that abundantly clear in every post the past two pages.
  12. It’s really hard to see a way out of this. This team is going to have to win 8 or 9 straight just to get back in the thick of things. That’s really tough to see right now.
  13. Brunson, Crowder, and Finney-Smith, if you count him, is a pretty good haul. They also found Maxi for basically nothing. The kid they drafted this year looks to have the potential to be a really good 3&D player but time will tell on that. It's widely known Donnie wanted the Greek Freak and got over-ruled by Cubes. If you want to make a point the Cubes gets in the way, I could buy that, but the issue of drafting has become dated argument as far as I can tell.
  14. I know some are saying the Mavs miss curry, but we’re losing because we’re getting destroyed on the boards this season. That is effort imo. Should not be getting your ass kicked on the boards every damn night.
  15. I think KP was worth a shot and they really didn't have to pay that much to get him. After this season they are finally going to have Luka and a ton of cap room to work with. Let's see what happens.
  16. Are you of the opinion there is another coach out there who would have had better success with those rosters of the past 10 years than Rick? Because I can tell you, if there are any, the list is extremely short. The truth is both of you have no idea who a better solution would be and it's likely there isn't one.
  17. Man...you guys are projecting quite a bit based upon 18 games where we haven't had a full line-up. I'm equally upset about how things have started but my main concern is having to play catch up the rest of the season because we're going to be in such a big hole--not losing Luka or RC being a problem. Playing as the 6-8 seed is going to suck, but Rick is a great coach and received a really shitty hand the first month of the season. Longer-term, I'm way more concerned about KP being the #2 than I am Rick being the coach.
  18. I'm not really as upset about the losing so much as how we're losing. In my mind, you still have your best two players so you should not be getting run out of the gym like they are. I'm willing to give KP some more time coming off the injury, but he's going to have to be better than he's showing right now.
  19. I still have no idea why that wasn't pursued right away. It was a no-brainer.
  20. We're still going to get an additional 100 million doses between Pfizer and Moderna from the Biden admin by end of summer. Link here. That still doesn't change the fact that it's still going to be a slower than desired rollout until March or April.
  21. The problem, as I see it, is regardless of any plan that we think might be right or wrong, it doesn't make a damn bit of difference because we currently have supply issues. I don't think anyone is way wrong in their opinion on how this is being rolled out--I go back and forth on whether or not we should just get them into arms as quickly as possible or if we should slow it down so we can fully vaccinate the demographic most likely to have severe cases. We really need J&J, assuming their efficacy data is good, to put the pedal to the metal to really start making a dent in this thing. Otherwise we're going to continue seeing strained supply for the next several months. There's just no other way around it.
