  1. This guy shouldn't have even been playing in Copa America and GGG decided to start him multiple matches. That's an astonishing lack of leadership. Sometimes you have to do what's best for the player even if they don't like it. It's way more important to have Adams healthy and playing for 2026 and now he's looking at yet another lengthy period on the sideline. I don't think he should be called in for any matches until he proves he's healthy enough to play for his club.
  2. I don't buy the Henry rumor at all. Sounds like Henry just trying to get his name out there. They are going to need to make this hire in the next couple of weeks, right? They need to hire someone before the Euro leagues start up again or they could potentially lose good candidates to clubs. Additionally, the next friendly is not that far off. The new guy is going to have to come in and completely evaluate the player pool. Tick tock.
  3. Man...I would honestly prefer Dolo over Viera. Viera hasn't lasted more than a couple of years at any stop. That's kind of a red flag for me.
  4. This is true which is also why it’s so perplexing the Brooks couldn’t even get a sniff under Berhalter. I will bet Brooks is back in the picture after this. Not that he’s going to be great, but he will at least be better completion than someone like CCV.
  5. I think there are going to be a lot of pissed off people if it’s anyone but Klopp. But I do think Cherundolo and Curtain would be solid choices.
  6. Why the hell has this not been announced yet? Amateur hour.
  7. Wow I guess I was just stuck thinking of them having Bale, Vela, and Chiellini. Awesome that he’s getting results and adapting to roster construction changes.
  8. I'll admit I have not watched a lot of MLS, but what could we expect from a 'Dolo-coached team? I see LAFC is in first at the moment, but not sure if that's due to them having an expensive roster or not.
  9. Where? I want to believe.
  10. This is almost exactly how it's going to play out. Except I doubt the last part because the women are actually going to be good since they have a good coach.
  11. This. Pretty sure there were already reports of this weeks ago.
  12. Agreed. The locker room needs a strong leadership presence from the coach with this current group--not a buddy...
  13. I'm glad USSF put out a statement. Now they can hire a firm, do an exhaustive search, and come to the conclusion that Berhalter is still their man. But seriously, results on the field aside, the fact that the players had as much of a say in Berhalter's retention was a major red flag for me. Players are not big picture people, that's why you pay a freaking GM to handle this shit. Players shouldn't like and be buddies with the coach, they should respect the coach. Often times that will result in liking him, but that isn't always the case. Players need to be challenged and right now, from the outside looking in, these guys are all way too comfortable in whatever this crap system is that we keep deploying. The worst part, as I've said before, is they're going to fire him now and the next coach isn't going to have any meaningful games against good competition to prepare for 2026. We have absolutely screwed ourselves.
  14. Just want to also point out that everybody walloped Bolivia in this group, but the US scored the fewest amount of goals against them.
  15. I’ll believe it when I see it.
  16. I think y’all need to prepare that he’s not getting fired. USSF is going to double down.
  17. MMA midfield is back. Gio probably on the wing.
  18. All of this. Cubes taking a backseat to actual basketball people has made a world of difference. The biggest thing I like about Nico is he has no problem admitting when he messed up. He finds ways to right a wrong and doesn't get stuck in the sunk cost fallacy. See Javale McGee and Grant Williams. Nobody is ever going to get every move right, but not stacking bad decisions upon bad decisions leads to great results when you have a star player--shocking I know.
  19. He was adequate but we got worked hard when we went up against a decent coach in the knockouts. He certainly didn't do enough to get a 2nd cycle.
  20. I wouldn't want Uruguay to rest starters anyway. This team needs to play good teams, not back their way into the knockouts to get some false sense of accomplishment. Either they're going to win tonight and this whole deal will have been a valuable learning experience or we're going to get smoked at Berhalter is going to get canned. Win-win to me.
  21. So confused about the DJJ deal with clippers. Thought he couldn’t negotiate due to the agent switch and not sure why the Mavs would let him get away for a reasonable deal like that.
  22. They’ve also haven’t given up any goals to anyone besides Argentina. They are going to advance out of a much more difficult group while we’re likely at home.
