  1. George Sauer, one of 4 Longhorns to first win a Super Bowl. 1969 New York Jets. He caught 8 passes for 133 yards in Super Bowl III ... from Joe Namath. The other 3 Horns? Tight end Pete Lammons, defensive lineman John Elliot and defensive back Jim Hudson. Hudson was the quarterback who threw a 69 yard touchdown pass in the 1965 Orange Bowl to help defeat No. 1 ranked Alabama. The quarterback for that Bama Team? Joe Namath. The person who caught Hudson's touchdown pass in that Orange Bowl? George Sauer. And now you know... the rest of the story.
  2. From North Dallas, and the back of a Longhorn, hoping MiningHorn brings back some cuban cigars for me from Australia ...
  3. You shut your dirty whore mouth!!! (with some due respect, not all, just some). We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Corch Norvell. In 2015, we were smack dab right in the middle of the "Desert of Potatoes" led by that feckless illiterate, Coach Potato. Going into the Texas - ou game, our record was 1 - 4. We had lost to Notre Dame 38 - 3; lost to Cal ! 45 - 44; lost to Okie Lite 30 - 27, and; lost to TCu 50 -7. We were dead on arrival. Ou was 4 - 0, ranked No. 10, led by Baker Fucking Mayfield. An ou team that would play Clempson in the playoffs. And yet, for one glorious afternoon, it seemed like we knew what play Ou was going to run before they did. Shifts before snaps putting us in just the right place. Our offense taking advantage of their weakness. And for some reason, known only to God and broccoli, we prevailed 24 - 17. How and why? Between 2011 - 2014, Corch Norvell was the Assistant OC and WR coach at ou. He was shitcanned by Goiter Boy in January 2015. 2 weeks later, Coach Potato hires him as our WR coach. That one glorious day in the Cotton Bowl, Norvell knew what ou was going to do. And naturally, he would be bitter because Coach Goiter set him up as the fall guy for ou's wretched playoff performance. Norvell got his revenge. Thanks Coach.
  4. Cotton Spyrer and Johnny Lam Jones check in and say... uh.. hi?
  5. The SECRantlings are going to discover very quickly that we are not aggy ... at all. We do not define ourselves by what conference we are in. We are not the SECSECSEC chanting roboturds. We do not live vicariously through the victories of other schools. Conferences define themselves in part because we are in them. (sounds like my ex-wife, The Sequel). We won't cheer for conference schools unless it has a direct, positive impact on Texas. the SECSECSEC was very happy when they let in the aggycuckolds. They knew aggy would continue to define the very essence of "average at best." But, more recruiting doors were open to SECSECSEC schools to come into the state and plunder. But now, the SECSECSEC has opened its skirts to recruiting in their states to the University of Texas. And we are already seeing results. So, while aggy remains in the barnyard playing with their dicks, furtively looking in the windows and then toward the sheep, UT is in the mainhouse, smoking a cigar, drinking a smooth single malt while the SECSECSEC fixes our sammich before bending over. Our wandering in the desert is over. Moses finally found a damned map. It took awhile to recover from the worst coach in Texas football history.. but by God, it has started. The Giant has awakened.
  6. Doesn't it depend on the airspeed velocity and the number of times the football rotates in its spiral? Even so, I bet an African swallow and a European swallow could carry the football between them on the strand of a creeper.
  7. And on television, the band sounded outstanding! In fact, louder and more clear than Bama's band. Absolutely delicious hearing the Eyes start when Ewers was ending his interview on the field.
  8. That article is greatness! I see now! This game is like being in a whorehouse and not being able to get an erection. There's beauty all around you but you cannot participate in any of the fun!
  9. Damn... I didn't know beards were required. Nothing about that on the sign out front.
  10. From my home in 75252 contemplating life and death as I ponder the passing of a 50 year old, close friend dying in his sleep two nights ago ...
  11. X's mom... Let me count the ways I would let her defile me.
  12. Not the Green Door or the Red Rooster?
  13. That got me thinkin. So, I found a site listing most colleges bowl records. The following dearth of bowl wins jumped out at me: Arizona 9 Baylor 14 Colorado 12 Notre Dame 19 (yes, they did have the voluntary no bowl ban for a number of years) Oregon 16 Texas Tech 16 UCLA 16 The greatest number of bowl victories: Bama 45 Georgia 37 USC 34 Penn State/Oklahoma (sux)/ and Texas 31 Tennessee 30

  21. I was surprised that Hoosiers was pretty much fictionalized on most major story lines. https://www.chasingthefrog.com/reelfaces/hoosiers.php#:~:text=Not entirely.,team in 1954%2C not six.
  22. So, when my daughter was taken in 2016, I had UTSouthwestern take as many blood, organ and tissue samples as they could ... cremation then. In the past 6 plus years, some of her ashes have gone to family members and dear friends. As of right now, my daughter is off the coast of Tahiti, Venice, Washington D.C., off the coastline in Southern California, Colorado, Utah, Maui, off the coast of Cabo ... and since she went to 4 Texas - ou games with me ... scattered in the end zone of the Cotton Bowl (2 years ago). More to follow.
