  1. I've watched it 20 times and find something new to enjoy on each watch. Supremely confident South Carolina slays me.
  2. I like this analogy... like Washington, the Horns did strategic damage to UGA's redcoats while taking tactical losses. Then Notre Dame (France) lends their weight to the fight and ultimately topples the (British) Bulldogs.
  3. I'm a huge fan, so I'm trying to find a good defense here. He's had two stints on SNL and a tour since his last special. A huge chunk of this special rehashed both SNL monologues which themselves borrowed from the live tour. If you had not seen the SNL monologues or seen him on tour, this special probably would have seemed better. He has a new book and a tour coming this year, so hopefully he was saving some good stuff for those things.

I mean... QE has been a pretty incredible portal pick-up. Where would we be without him? Bolden, Golden, Bond, and Adonai Mitchell all should be in Mt Rushmore of portal pickup discussion.
  5. We're coming up on 24 hours since the end of the game, and I still haven't found emotional equilibrium after the whiplash from being down 7 with 4th and 13 and the season on life support to being up 8 pts in the span of about 10 seconds of game clock. And I willingly subject myself to this.
  6. Watching highlights of him this season and the game last night, I couldn't quite figure out why I didn't like the guy, but you have 100% identified the issue.
  7. Counterpoint... he committed an obvious OPI on this play that was miscalled as DPI.
  8. Was on a text thread with a buddy, and I mentioned that it was incredible that ASU did not get flagged for holding once. He came back with the “don’t blame the refs… need to play well enough for the refs not to matter” argument. While I don’t completely discount that argument, the fact is that the biggest thing the refs can do to negate a talent imbalance between two teams is to decide not to call holding penalties. Not one was called yesterday.
  9. Watched Nightbitch the other night not really knowing what it was about or what to expect. Let’s just say I was not the intended audience. It’s just one woman’s vehicle to complain about giving up part of herself to become a mother. Who knew life has trade-offs? And if your husband isn’t helping enough, just tell him. Also, if he supports your decisions, but not in the way that you want him to support your decisions, just tell him. I’m sure some people out there will find it transcendent, but I just found it indulgent.
  10. News to me. My algos don’t feed me shit about FSD, Tesla, TSLA, or CT. I get Tesla-related content from two YT channels I follow for FSD software demos/news, and I am a member of a Tesla Model 3 group on FB. Other than that, I see near zero Tesla-related content on FB, X (which I use for sports follows), IG, or TikTok. So if I am the target demo for the CT stuff and Elon fart huffing, someone is failing miserably. Or maybe you can fuck right off with lumping me in with the general Elon-stans. I like my Model 3 and am generally impressed with the state of Tesla’s FSD capability. My support goes no further than that.
  11. Find one remotely positive comment I have made about Cybertruck or Elon Musk himself. I’ll wait.
  12. Making fun of aggy is best done while not making one's self look like an idiot as well.
  13. It really is fascinating how the aggy rollercoaster scenario plays out year after year. I’d say we have enough observation and data to promote the coaster from a scientific theory to a law.
  14. The only thing missing from that game was a pimp cane.
  15. Yeah… I barely made it into the 2nd quarter, but slept soundly knowing that aggy would aggy it up.
  16. Don’t forget that Navy’s first TD came after being gifted a short field when BV went for it on 4th down on his own side of the field with a 14-pt lead.
  17. ‘Twas a 2-pt attempt.
  18. You can't tell from radar if an AC is piloted or not. You can get clues from size and flight profile, but it can't distinguish piloted vs unpiloted. Aegis is good, but not that good. But this also goes back to my theory... operator had one contact "hooked," somehow got mixed up, and made engagement decision based on data from another contact. That's what happened with VINCENNES.
  19. Ever hear of Houthis?
  20. See above post.
  21. I would be shocked if it was CIWS that engaged. CIWS only engages threats with very specific flight profile and closing speed indexed to own ship. It is a 100% self-defense weapon and cannot be used to engage targets headed towards other ships in company. I highly doubt that a friendly F/A-18F would fly a path towards the CG that would meet engagement criteria for CIWS. My Navy SWO speculation is that this smells a lot like VINCENNES incident where an operator had one contact hooked but was reading data for another contact and engaged with SM-2 based on the wrong data.
