  1. Even aggy thinks that is dumb. The guy has to have at least one skin - even it is more attributable to a transcendent player - and the contract has got to be for at least 10 years. And don't forget to have an extension with a 20% raise in the chamber ready to execute after only one good season.
  2. Nah. Every week’s good to shit on him. That was so satisfying watching him go from chest pounding douchebag to pouting douchebag in the span of a minute.
  3. Stroud’s not a big boy yet. Needs more nanner puddin’.
  4. That’s awesome. Glad they added the utility category.
  5. This is how you are supposed to say farewell to little brother, Sooners.
  6. IDMAS. Would love another shot at OU to avenge the RRS loss, but would also like to grab scoreboard from the Pokes.
  7. Hahaha. Welcome to the B12 ref show, Sooners.
  8. Counterpoint. He did not fuck up 2019. Howie Kendrick put an incredible swing on a great pitch. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap.
  9. I get why Klieman went for it. It was essentially the same situation KU found themselves in a couple of years ago, and that went their way. The folksy coach wisdom is to go for two after an OT TD when on the road. It was almost the same position on the field as a 2 pt try. Make one play to win the game.
  10. ETA: Anyone who responds with a recent pic of Kelly McGillis gets an auto-neg.
  11. Going to see this in about four hours. Guess I should stop liquid intake about now.
  12. Good catch... name me a key POSITIVE contributor to the Astros 2023 team who won't be returning next season. And your keyboard to God's ear re: Maldonado.
  13. How, pray tell, do the Astros "cut losses" here? Dumbass.
  14. Right? We have 61 data points on exactly what happens.
  15. I mean sure, play that trump card when that's all that you have in your argument. You are the one that started this discussion with the ridiculously unfounded claim that a healthy deGrom would have added 8-10 wins to the record this year. I very simply pointed out that the WAR numbers do not support this assumption in slightest. Even substituting prime 2018 deGrom for 2023 deGrom, the numbers don't support the claim. Now your claim is that 13-14 wins from deGrom would have made up the 11 wins that Dunning/Bradford did get you as starters plus 5 or 6 additional wins the team would have found with these guys freed up to perform more in bullpen roles? That's fine. It's OK to fantasize.
  16. Did Bregs reference the Rangers at all in his celebration speech? Missed that part.
  17. Fixed my post because I realized my error before you pointed it out. Thanks, though. Not really fair to tag Bradford with three extra Ls with the 1-7 stat.
  18. I sure as shit can't follow your nonsense and bullshit stats. Bradford was 4-3 in 8 starts for .1 WAR. Dunning was 12-7 in 26 starts for 3.0 WAR. That's 34 starts. if PRIME deGrom steps in with his 9.5 WAR from 2018, that's only a difference of 6.4 WAR. Forget WAR. Let's just use records. Dunning/Bradford were 16-10 in 34 starts. To improve by 8-10 wins, deGrom would have to record 24 wins at a minimum in his 30 starts. So the theoretical math works, but the REAL WORLD math does not. Even for deGrom at his very best ever, which is five years in the past. lol no OK... I conflated Bradford's wins in relief with his wins as a starter. Same with Dunning. Refactoring the starter records: Dunning: 10-7 Bradford: 1-3 Combined: 11-10 8 to 10 games better would require deGrom to win 19 of 30 starts. Still not a realistic expectation.
  19. Cy Young winner in 2019 who hasn't pitched a full season since then. deGrom's career WP is .596, so flipping that W-L record around is highly doubftul. I can kind of fix your argument by saying "i'm not sure it is possible to believe that using a time machine to bring in a fully healthy cy young winner from 2018-2019 doesn't give you 8-10 more wins."
  20. Having JV for a full season should keep arms fresher, and we're due some better injury luck with SPs next year. I won't be upset if Brown rolls with these SPs and spends a little on the bullpen.
