  1. I was at that exact spot last week.
  2. I'm in the Moderna trial and had my first shot a year ago on Aug. 18th. I had my blood drawn for the Texas Cares study yesterday and my antibody level is 390. Anything above 0.8 is positive, so it doesn't seem as bad when you look at it like that. I was also negative for prior infection.
  3. First shot Aug. 18th, 2020 in the Moderna trial here.
  4. Yes, I heard about the strike that started today I believe. I'm hoping things stay open, but have a back up plan if they don't. (Which would be just staying in Glacier NP an extra night before heading down to Yellowstone.)
  5. Fully vaccinated Americans can travel to Canada starting August 9th. You still have to have a negative covid test within 72 hours before entry. https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/news/2021/07/government-of-canada-announces-easing-of-border-measures-for-fully-vaccinated-travellers.html
  6. I am planning on getting this same rapid test done for a trip to Canada in two weeks. No flight, just a border crossing in Montana. Does anyone know if Canada will accept this test? On the Canadian health website it says any molecular covid test including NAAT. So I am hoping I will be good.
  7. Right now I am taking between 15 and 20 mg each day. Just wasn't sure if that was enough.
  8. I grabbed some zinc and vitamin d last week. What dosage of zinc per day is too much?
  9. Moderna is also a 100-microgram dosage versus 30-micrograms for Pfizer. Would that have any affect on protection?
  10. We close! Row 59 here. **high five**
  11. Well after 10 years, I'm back in! Section 26. Seems like just as good a time as any. 😀
  12. I went to Marrakech in 2019 and stayed here, https://www.leclosdesarts.com/ just inside the medina. It was really nice. I enjoyed staying in the old quarter, but damn that place is a maze. Great experience though! The people whizzing by you on their scooters in the narrow alleyways takes some getting used to. There appear to be no traffic rules near the medina. Cars can be 8 across on a small street and you might have a horse and carriage on one side and a dump truck on the other. I only did a day trip to the Atlas mountains with a driver. Just stopped at various overlooks and took pictures. Also did a private tour of the medina, which was really nice. The Majorelle Gardens are worth a stop. Eat a bunch of weird shit! I used to watch Bizarre Foods, which did an episode in Morocco. I had my riad make me khlea (preserved meat) one morning for breakfast. Sheep's head, including the eyes, cooked right in the ground close the Jemaa el-Fnaa square. And of course a bowl of snails. I did a food tour through the medina one evening which I highly recommend. https://marrakechfoodtours.com/ I also did a hammam, which was a cool experience and would do again. You basically get a napkin to cover yourself. Have fun!
  13. Canada opens back up on Aug. 9th for fully vaccinated Americans! I'll be in Waterton at the Prince of Wales hotel the last week of August. Can't wait!
  14. CDC is on my flight out of Phoenix to Austin right now riding in coach. Respect!
  15. At the recommendation from the fine folks on this site, I had my first Turbo T-man from Bert's today. Ohhhhh baby!
  16. Dang, I just did their 80,000 point bonus a month ago.
  17. I watched this tonight. Was that the guard from Shawshank? Anyway, I was hoping she would get her revenge as well at the party, but I still enjoyed the ending.
  18. I went to Panama City for a few days at the end of a trip to Costa Rica in 2016, just to take a cruise through the Panama Canal and go to the Canal museum. It took the entire day to go through the Canal, but I found it worth it. If you are into modern marvels. And yes, going through Colon on the bus ride back to Panama City was a little terrifying. That town looked trashy to say the least.
  19. I pulled the trigger on a Saatva classic firm. Should arrive in a couple of weeks. I'll report back.
  20. Got 3 for Friday, second weekend to see King George.
  21. Yeah, they are not very clear. If you look at their FAQ page https://www.nps.gov/glac/planyourvisit/ticketedentryfaq.htm #19. Your GTSR Entry Ticket is valid for your entire 7-day Entrance Pass from the reserved arrival date. I think I'm just going to reserve for the date I'm going to be in the park. This morning when I was testing it out, I got the system overload error a few times right at 9am central, but then I waited about 10-15 minutes after the initial rush and secured a ticket no problem. They were all gone in about 30 minutes though.
  22. I practiced this morning to get tickets for July 17th and was able to secure one on multiple attempts. I'm feeling better about this.
  23. That makes sense. Looks like I have one shot at this then! Good luck on Thursday with the reservation.
  24. Did you ever have any luck? I'm going to try and get a ticket/ reservation for the last week in August. Since the ticket is good for a week, I will start trying to get a reservation 7 days out from my intended date of entering the park to help my chances. That should give me 7 tries at it.
