Watched a bit of it on YouTube. The ones I saw were decent to handsome guys (granted I only watched maybe 3-4 videos). It sounds like they weren't going so much because they couldn't get laid, but more to the point, had never been in a relationship with a women in which the woman's infidelity did not end the relationship. These dudes are looking for wives, someone to settle down with. I think fidelity is more important to them than maintaining the household. Another thing some of the guys brought up, was never leave your foreign girlfriend's country, or her family. If you bring them back to the US, the relationship will probably not work out. Makes me think of Eddie Murphy on his "Raw" comedy show all the way back in the 80's where his African girlfriend wanted her half. He told her she was naked riding a zebra when he found her. If you look at the divorce thread in IWPIHB, or go back and read the "Population Decline" thread in this forum, you start to see some societal changes that were well intentioned, but have spawned some negative consequences. College educated women refusing to marry men without, at least, the same or higher level of education, and a higher income level, or divorcing their husband that paid for that education after they received it is commonplace. It happened to my best friend. Average women getting a booty call from a horny guy that is out of their league only to think that is the kind of guy that is her new norm and not the exception. American women are way out of touch with what their true looks are able to draw for a stable, longterm relationship. I bet there are several thousand women on social media, all over two bills, that say they are a "10". Completely out of touch with reality. However, the biggest culprit, I truly believe, is social media. It was easy for us old dudes to "shoot your shot" back in the day, when a rejection was simply kept between the approacher, and the "approachee." Now, chicks blast it to all of their mutual friends in their social circle, how "Larry" was such a creep and had the audacity to hit me up. Next thing we see is the rejected doing something crazy (mass shootings, murder, suicide).People say some wicked, and mean-hearted shit behind the safety of their keyboard, just look at Surly. I don't necessarily agree with the "passport bros", but I understand. I'm lucky, found a levelheaded woman and will be married for 30 years in August. I can't imagine dating and trying to find a "till death do us part" partner in today's environment. CHIEF

Here is the guy that you want: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064650193657 Tater Pogue with TaterToys in Huntsville. We have problems with our frame wanting to bend backwards pushing the tires over large rock ledges. It is slightly bent at this time. This is the guy CHIEF Jr. wants to do the framework (which would require a 6 hour run each way). He also does reinforcement kits that he welds in place, but he can fix you right up. He isn't cheap, but it will be better than what you will get for your Ranger if you try to sell it with a bent frame. CHIEF

Too midwestern. Avatar checks out. They have both spices, salt AND pepper. CHIEF

A tuna salad on toasted white bread is one of the greatest sandwiches ever. However, restaurants still have nothing on Mrs. CHIEF's tuna salad. Her's is very simple albacore tuna, boiled eggs, real mayo, onion, pickles, and about a third of a jar of the pickle brine. A large dash or three of lemon pepper and lime pepper seasoning. CHIEF

Saw a FaceBook post, this morning, from the Bosque County Genealogical and Historical Society. They were at the Meridian Cemetery showing members how to clean headstones. The headstone they were cleaning in the photos, was James Avery and Susan Frances Lomax. These were MAC's paternal great grandparents. I figured MAC called in a favor from God. CHIEF- 606 replies

Well my son's best friends are twins, they go scuba diving with us, vacations, etc. We were having a party on Saturday night, when they got the call that their uncle had passed. He was a UT-Austin grad, and had put in 33 years at Lockheed and had just retired. He rode in amateur bike races, noticed he was feeling weak and tired a lot more. At Christmas, he went in for an MRI. The tumor was bad enough, they scheduled his surgery to be performed in the next 24 hours. He had completed 21 of 25 radiation treatments, woke up for the 22nd one, and was paralyzed from the waist down, and could no longer speak, or eat. Just bad shit all the way around. I have another friend that is a handyman. His son and mine fish a lot together. About nine years ago, he was diagnosed with stage four cancer in his sinus cavities. He had a horrible surgery, where they basically skinned his face off, and removed the tumors from his sinus cavities. They removed all they could, and gave him a terminal diagnoses of about 30 days.I don't want to offend anyone, but basically, he had "nothing to loose" with going experimental. He watched countless videos, made numerous phone calls and settled on a treatment of Fenbendazole, and turmeric. Yeah, the dog de-wormer. He swung by my house to pick up a turbo I gave him to go on his Dodge Cummins last week. I asked him how he felt, he said never better. Nine years ago, he was in bed, at home, with 24 hour hospice care, and a feeding tube. Now, he is back to work full time with enough energy to work on vehicles on the weekend. He still takes his medication regiment, it is very inexpensive, and like he said, he gets a free dog biscuit with every order. I know this sounds like the hokey Ivermectin argument with COVID, but I seen it with my own eyes. He barely weighed a buck twenty, now he is a healthy 185. I couldn't, in good conscious, not even lay it out there. Especially for those that have been told to go home, there is nothing else we can do but make you comfortable guys. I would never have believed it, if I would never have seen how bad off he was those years ago. Here is another guy that did the same thing: CHIEF

My mother got CHIEF Jr. a 1 oz. Gold Eagle for his graduation tomorrow. She went to school with the owner of Cowtown Gold and Silver, in Ft. Worth. I'm pretty sure it is one of the new ones. I'll get a picture later. CHIEF -

It makes sense. Norman is a four hour drive, Austin is over eight hours from Spearman. It is practical to be able to go home, during the offseason, on some weekends from Norman to Spearman. Lubbock would have made more sense. Homesickness is a real thing. CHIEF -
MAC's great-grandmother and my great-grandmother were both Browns from Bosque County. I use Find-A-Grave for a lot of my genealogy research, and like MAC, I can't really find anything on the Browns. I don't even know who her parents were. For all I know MAC and I may be fourth or fifth cousins. CHIEF

Was his uncle. But his Dad (John Jr.) was into it as well. Just not as famous as his uncle. CHIEF -

MAC is the great grandson of John Avery Lomax. His great grandparents and mine are buried in the same cemetery in Meridian, Texas. John Avery Lomax was a famous folklorist, and musicologist. He recorded old cowboy songs along the Chisholm Trail, as the cowboys sang them each night. https://www.tsl.texas.gov/literarylandmark/Lomax https://www.loc.gov/item/ihas.200196225 (Library of Congress) My late father was infatuated with "cowboy music." We mostly communicated by Facebook, talked about his great grandfather, my father playing songs that his great grandfather had preserved, Meridian, and Bosque county. That was my home turf. He is a great guy, and a gifted journalist. He will be sorely missed. CHIEF- 606 replies

I could see a modification, but not a complete repeal. I don't think there would ever be a chance that three-quarters of the states would ratify it. CHIEF

Wetter than last year, but not by much. Had a couple of storms split and go N/S of us. Knox City and Munday have water running down the ditches, the Sixes has had a decent amount as well. CHIEF

This is so true. I mean, I can take mine back to Duncan I of Scotland, and that Neil of the Nine Hostages that sired so many kids that one out of every twelve Irishmen have his marker in their Y-chromosome. Mine is a 1983 Brazilian Rosewood, but it was inherited. It's my alternate tuned guitar. It is easily my most playable guitar you are a lucky man to have one CHIEF

Well, you won't have to worry about a SIL. A hunting and tailgate buddy is always trying to get my son to date his daughter, she goes to the same college, and is on the equestrian team. She is pretty hot, but CHIEF Jr.'s response is "I have seen her feed bill, and I'm gonna be honest Travis, there is no one that is going to get into a serious relationship after seeing that." Apparently all the college guys stay away from the "horse girls". CHIEF

My paternal side of the family got here between 1654 and 1658, my son is the 13th generation. All Scotch/Irish. They stuck to living in Virginia for the first five generations, hit the Cumberland Gap and moved to Kentucky by the late 1700s. Tennessee by the first decade of the 1800s, then to Pulaski County, Missouri by 1845. My 2xgreat-grandfather got to Bosque County in about 1850. My maternal side is mostly Irish, they were here during the Revolutionary War, and moved south, coming to Texas through Georgia, and Alabama. My wife's family history is very interesting. Her paternal side came with Prince Karl to New Braunfels in 1844, they are buried from Bexar, Comal, to Blanco Counties. Her mother's side didn't get here from Germany and Poland until the late 1800s, and made a fortune cabbage farming around Corpus Christi. They moved after a huge hurricane in about 1903, and bought a ranch at Tilden, sold that and bought several thousand acres around Blanco and Wimberly. CHIEF

Another scam, again, it happened to my son. I was with him on the way to the deer lease when it all went down. A scammer hacked and copied his Snapchat page. the hackers sent a message, posing as him, to all his friends that asked them to Venmo him money, as he was unable to pay his rent for the month. Of course, his phone blew up with everyone calling him, since they all knew he lived at home. No one got suckered into sending him money. He has since, closed his Snapchat, and all social media, the only way to reach him is by text, voice, or email. Like a normal adult. CHIEF

My son has a pretty big batch of Snap-On tools. I told him it would have been much cheaper to just have a cocaine habit during college. CHIEF

Happened to my son. He recently got a call supposedly from one of his best friends. It was very frantic, but the scammer used words and phrases that his friend would never use. So he asked him when was the last time you were at my house? What kind of car were you driving? Of course they couldn't answer, so he hung up and called the friend, who was sitting in his underwear, eating cold pizza at home. CHIEF

I've watched so many videos of drunk Russian soldiers, that it would make sense if the Ukrainians made Fentanyl vodka with labels in Russian. Drop them at the front, fall back, and wait till the fatal dose of Fentanyl to kick in. Or better yet, use something that takes a week or two for a fatality so the Russian troops have time to distribute it to all of their fellow assholes. CHIEF
