Ketch's site used to have more members then all of the sites combined. Maybe still does.  Most of the posters hate him though.

Saw on one of the FB groups that this dude's friend works at a hotel and UT had 5 rooms  booked.  Sark, Bo, Gideon, Flood and Wiggins?

Please tell me it is the AT&T Center, and that porky little bride on the LHN commercial is playing the "Eyes" with her arm pit.

I am a Dallas fan and actually enjoyed the Pats dynasty.

I know as a fan of DFW + UT, my teams have zero shot at a dynasty any longer. So I don't even worry about that.

I wouldn't count out a sober Sark. Especially what he displayed last night.

  3. I love a .243, it was my first gun, and CHIEF Jr.'s when he was a kid, one of the best calibers for smaller central Texas deer. My Dad bought it when he found out my Mom was pregnant with me. He was an amateur gunsmith, I can remember as a small child watching him glass bed all of the rifles we owned. For decades, we owned three rifles, the .243, a .270, and his favorite rifle a 7mm mag. About 12 years ago, I bought the second Sako A7 .300 short mag in the US, it's a great gun for carrying on elk hunts, with the scope, it weighs under 8 pounds. Also inherited a Weatherby Vanguard .25-06 from my FIL, I was the only one that had ever killed anything with it. That's another great caliber for Whitetails, and probably the best rifle by a considerable margin in that price range.

I’ve got a couple of .243’s I’ve been trying to work into the mix. And I do switch it up. Just seems like every time it’s shooting time, it ends up being the 257.  I also have a 270 wby but haven’t done much more than tinker with it yet.  I’ve just started trending my recoil down around the same time I bought it.  Working on building a 22/250, 220 swift/other into a custom model 70 eventually. But it’s been on the back burner for a bit.   6.5 CM is on the list, as well.

    8 on a 5 for me is:

Skull it off the tee box

    Hit a phenomenal 2nd shot

    Miss the approach left

    Duff a chip

Chip it 30 feet past the flag

Leave a putt 12 feet short

    Lip out for double

    Tap in for 8

See, this is me. I live on the 18th green of our golf course, and I haven't golfed in 18 months.

  5. College kids are always into shots. Our house has been the hangout about 4 years running for the breaks in between semesters. Like kids on the couch for days at a time. We have some seriously sick shit:

Just been too lazy to throw it out. We are outta Rum Chata, Fireball, and chocolate liqueur.

The Peanut Butter Whiskey was mixed with Godiva Chocolate to make a "peanut butter cup".

The Key Lime Liqueur was mixed with Rum Chata to make a "Key West", supposed to taste like key lime pie.

All the rest, have no fucking idea. The Cherry Cola Vodka has never even been open, I believe it would probably be worse than the whip cream vodka, and worse than the chocolate covered cherries vodka.

  6. Haven't used margarine in 25 years, only butter. Olive oil for medium heat, recently started using avocado oil for high heat. Working from home, the wife and I eat fast food probably once every other month, it's 20 minutes into town.

Now, the question I have, is what do you use for your home deep fryer? Always used peanut oil for frying fish, but usually vegetable oil for other things. We only fry once, sometimes twice per week. Is bulk avocado oil available at a price that won't break the bank?

All I do to winterize is drain the water off the block and the manifold. Putting the plugs back in is a 2 minute job so it's easy to get back on the water when you want to.

I asked my son why they don't just do this and not put antifreeze in the block and manifolds, years ago. He said because the block galleries and inside of the manifold is just exposed cast iron and will rust. A big flake of rust will come loose and plug up a block gallery and then you are fucked.
