  1. I truly feel like Sark is willing to take some lumps, and play Quinn, who not only is already immobile, but injured as well. He is dragging Quinn across the finish line and giving him every opportunity to improve his draft standing, which I am not sure is working. If he benched him, his stock would plummet. I don't necessarily agree with the philosophy, but I understand where it is coming from on a cultural level. Quinn has certainly won us more games than he lost, and Sark is the only coach to have his team in two consecutive CFP appearances. He can be a little loyal to a fault, but I'm not the one to say that is wrong. But it says a lot about how he cares about his players, and is willing to take some criticism on their behalf. CHIEF
  2. Austin, the high is 67 with a 72% chance of rain, currently. CHIEF
  3. I meant the money to keep him here, and keep him stocked with his pick of coaching personnel. As guys move on and up on the career ladder. I trust that the Athletic Department will give him a blank check to go get who he wants. Whatever changes might be coming down the pipe with or without NIL, he has shown he is brilliant and trustworthy. CHIEF
  4. I truly believe that Sark will be here as long as he wants. Money will never be an issue. He is a top five coach. I hope he is our next DKR. CHIEF
  5. The SEC hasn't realized that inviting Texas into the SEC was just like the B1G getting Oregon. I haven't done any research, but did B1G teams dismiss Oregon since they were a PAC12 team like the SEC did Texas as a BIGXII team? I remember when an undefeated Auburn got left out of the Title Game for the USC buttfucking of OU in the early 2000s. These fuckers huff too much of their own farts. Texas will probably always be a fixture in the top 2-3 of the SEC, much like Oregon will be in the B1G. CHIEF
  6. A lady that we tailgate with has them. I imagine they are good seats as well. I can check with Mrs. CHIEF if you want them. Mrs. CHIEF will sleep so late tomorrow, I will have to wake her up for kick off. Sleeping in is her Saturday routine. CHIEF
  7. Mrs. CHIEF: Hey Patsy has two free tickets to the SECCG if we wanted to go. Me: We would have to jump on a plane to Atlanta tonight. Mrs. CHIEF: We could go in the morning. Me: We would probably need to be on the first flight out, so we need to leave here about 4am. Mrs. CHIEF: FUCK THAT. CHIEF
  8. It's an embarrassment of riches. The most stacked OL room in the country by a mile. I have watched Longhorn football for decades, and the second team would be starters probably back to the Casey Stoddard and Justin Blalock years. So, back to the 05' NC team. Have there been individuals during that time that would start? Probably. But the cohesiveness of the OL now is purely Kyle Flood, and Sark. The team mentality is getting to be like the 05' team. My favorite story from that time was when Texas played Missouri in Columbia. I think it was Justin that turned around to Vince and said, "hey, they know the play." Vince calmly pulled out his mouthpiece, and said "so." CHIEF
  9. If you invest in crypto in $Hawk, you deserve anything that happens to you: CHIEF
  10. Fours old, thinking I have something cool and original? FFFUUUCCCKKK. Surly needs to have a bunch of posters that just do crazy script writing. CHIEF
  11. Yep, and stuck my foot in my mouth, as you have plainly demonstrated. On Weed, my alligator mouth can overload my Canary ass in about three seconds. I now set a three minute timer to dwell on what I was about to use as a rebuttal. Try it, don't fly off the handle. That don't work on Weed. CHIEF
  12. It's all about class ranking to them. That is because they are weak in developing players. Look at the development that Sark has shown. Trevor Goosby stonewalled Nic Scourton, Tre ran for almost 200 on them, Ethan Burke with the TFL on 4th &1. Texas spends time on three star projects, getting them up to speed and turning them into draft picks. THIS is the way to win National Championships. CHIEF
  13. That is what I would order as well. I gave the "Green Hornet" to a buddy. The tilt and trim no longer works, and all of the hinges are rusted, its faded as shit. We had some good times on that boat. If we took it back to POC and dropped it into the salt, I am 100% sure it would disintegrate right before our eyes. Nothing funnier than when we made Justin drive back from the Big Jetties. because we had families with young children, like he was expendable. CHIEF
  14. $25 might get you an appetizer. CHIEF
  15. Somehow, I had lost the title to both my boat and the title for the engine. I tried to get in touch with the loan company I had used when I purchased it. They had been bought out years ago, and were no help. I called TPWD and got a great dude on the line, explained the situation, and there was no longer a lien on it. He told me the form I needed, and to just write down everything you just told me, and we will get you taken care of. Sure enough, in about three weeks, I got a new boat title. I didn't get the title for the engine, but figured it might have gotten delayed and would come later. Today, I got a letter from a TexasEx that lives in the first house I bought in Cedar Park. He had gone out of his way to mail me the title to the engine as I had never changed the address. It had a very nice note that apologized for his kids opening it up. I just wanted to say "Thanks" and see if he might be a fellow Surly member. If so shoot me a DM, and expect a gift card in the mail. CHIEF

  18. He has his head tilted to the left eating the grass along her fence. She did everything but an army crawl to get a better picture, but it was too dark. I've been scouring or NextDoor page this morning to see if anyone has a picture. The closest high fence place is about five or so miles NE, which would be my bet, as to where he came from. But, we have a firefighter friend that owns a five acre place in the middle of a big ranch about 4 miles SE of where we live that has seen multiple 200"+ deer at his place. So its not like we are completely devoid of those kind of genetics. This whole area gets overlooked for hunting, most people assume it is too wide open, and too close to DFW. A lot of what most would consider "suburban deer." But you can watch some monsters being killed in suburban neighborhoods on YouTube, so anything is possible. CHIEF
  19. Got damn!!! You use your mouth better than a $1000/hr. whore.....bravo. CHIEF
  20. My mom has been around big deer quite a few times. She told me she saw the biggest buck she has ever seen outside of a high fence standing in her driveway. She hung up and ran back out to snap a picture. Her phone is old, so it isn't high resolution. She lives in my same subdivision. I'm gonna estimate him to be over 25" inside spread with some tines as big around as my wrist. At first, I told her I couldn't see his rack, just those dying cana leaves behind him. Thats when she told me, "those aren't cana leaves, that is his horns." easily a 200" B&C buck. CHIEF
  21. On my 6.5 acre tract, that I have a shop on got a bogus valuation. It is obvious the county didn't bother to come and look, they put the valuation of my shop at $400k thinking it was a full blown residence and not a shop, so it will be protested. The raw land taxes were cheap, even though the place doesn't have an ag exemption, but I am back to looking at putting bee hives on the place to get that exemption. There is another guy about a mile or so away that has a few hives and will be a good resource. I'm not planning on becoming the "Bee King of Hood County" but would like to eventually sell enough to make it worth my while, and a lot of people, around here, are always looking for local honey to help with allergies. I've got plenty of places in this 4700 acre neighborhood to put them. Multiple friends with over acre lots that would let me put them there. I have been toying with the idea of just going to the HoneyFlow, so I wouldn't need to buy a separator. Anybody think that is a decent idea? Is it cheating? I can get their big hive, a bee suit, a smoker, and some other accessories all in a package deal for about $1200. Then I can just keep adding the same big hives for about $900 a pop. https://www.honeyflow.com/collections/all?srsltid=AfmBOooNGpEf5ZVimlJQhLvpvVmXOHMkIMJrog5DzUZ6FEE72thwElRY
  22. Someone really needs to silkscreen a "Bug Mountain" t-shirt. I know I would buy one. It needs to have The Squid emojis and all that cool shit. CHIEF
  23. I don't know how many deer I have tracked for people where a wounded deer basically made a big circle and came back and died just yards from the feeder. Its enough that I always check everything within about 50 yard circle from the feeder if there is a questionable blood trail. Now if it is a blood trail that Ray Charles could follow, yeah, we staying on that. CHIEF
  24. I always heard the reason Brits drink room temperature beer was because all of their kegerators were designed and built by Jaguar engineers. CHIEF
  25. Did Winn's buy out Wacker's? We had one in Cleburne. I remember saving up my $14.99 to buy a Thundershift 500 to sling my Hot Wheels around an oval track. Two lanes so you could race your buddies. Someone would always start to get behind and sling it so hard it would go airborne and leave dents in the sheetrock. CHIEF
