As far as looking for cars, take a look at Carfax. A lot of smaller dealers pay into the service, but don’t pay extra to list their cars on the other websites for sale and you’ll see a used car section in there. We found our Jeep Wrangler a couple years ago there from a small dealer up in DC. When I called him from out of state he was wondering how I found him since he doesn’t list his cars outside of his website.
You can find cars for less $ than carmax but in my experience you’ll generally get a quality vehicle there based on the $$ they put into it for resale. And they usually have a default short term warranty included I think?
I sold my kid’s Passat to them a couple years ago and got 2 grand above what others were offering. The wheels were beat up (black wheels with bad road rash) and when it showed up on their website a few weeks later it had brand new wheels and tires.
Just got back from matinee showing. I paid for the “screen x” version at Cinemark. Ended up being really distracting. Only certain scenes had the functionality and halfway through the movie the side projectors seemed to be booting up and throwing random symbols on the side wall. I walked out to the front lobby and got a refund and another drink and then came back in for the finale. Overall, just an ok movie. Like a lot of Mission impossible movies high on action and eye candy but the writing is horrible.
also, the ending gave me ship in a bottle vibes from Star Trek TNG.
If you can prove the seller knew about it and failed to disclose, you might have some recourse. Maybe also reach back out to your inspector and kick him in the nuts after you ask him of course what his thoughts are.
Otherwise, I think you’re SOL. Most home warranties have some kind of water leak coverage that might save her some money.
Yes! Just saw that commercial this morning… Also, anyone mention the damn Dairy Queen ad with the fucking ring doorbell chime that starts it off? Nothing like a quiet evening on the couch with the dogs up to that point…
