  3. Always dig a good Cars cover [emoji1690]
  4. It will also surprise a lot of people that the lead singer of Yaz, was in fact her. Great voice.
  5. Agree 75%. The movie was still good, but hard to live up to the opening sequence for sure.
  6. Just finished. Pretty weak overall but the core characters are still enjoyable . We enjoyed Bosch overall but bailed on the FreeVee spin-off. Not good.

  9. It was years before I knew Skynryd’s Call Me the Breeze was a cover. Clapton’s tribute to Cale a few years ago is equally great. IIRC he uses the original drum machine to start it off.
  10. Just got back. Really enjoyed it. Time flew by. Perfect summer movie . Also, I’m getting old. I remember seeing the first one in the theatres…/ My take on these movies is even though they all have the same characters, each movie is self-encapsulated. Seeing the previous movies isn’t critical.
  11. Ive been with USAA since ‘95. Was loyal for everything but have gradually moved away from all their insurance products. Just too expensive. Found an indie insurance guy who has me hooked up with Safeco now. Also this. Seems like money not spent advertising to people who can’t use your service anyways could go back in your customers pockets.

  15. Lots of airplane movies in the last couple weeks: Tenet- interesting movie that took some extra brain power to figure out what was going on. Didn’t care for the acting by the protagonist but Kenneth Branagh was great as usual. Puss in Boots The Last Wish- surprisingly entertaining. Saw the original years ago with my kids and was curious about this one. Very very good. Creed III- meh. I mean I saw the first two and had low expectations for this one, but it was a very weak and predictable. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves- zero expectations, other than my daughter said I’d really like it. And you know what? She was right. I have no understanding of the D&D world, but it was very entertaining with a few laugh out loud moments. Interstellar- saw in theaters and was thoroughly captivated, but never revisited. It was just as good the second time around. Plus, Anne Hathaway = wheelhouse. Just don’t tell my wife.
  16. Speaking of Peter Gabriel. This was so powerful. Someone was coincidentally cutting onions at the time in my theatre. https://youtu.be/kMJiEo10qHw
  17. I gave up halfway through season 6 because of the terribleness previously described and that I found I just didn’t find the Chuck vs Prince thing very compelling. But if you are sayin Axe is coming back it sounds like I need to suck it up and finish out season 6.
