what is with all these idiot talking heads saying "high-pointing the ball" constantly now hey said it in the last game with the deflection of the pass late in the game by the SF defender and now on this interception I have heard them say this shit more times this season than in the last 40 seasons combined these fuck heads are worse than kids all hearing something and then repeating it until they sound stupid -
they are waiting for "next year" when jimbo finally has all of his own 'cruits and has his system in place and the proper coordinators to implement it

New California bill introduced for revenue sharing in college sports

Which is why I don't understand schools like SHSU jumping to D1. There is no way D1 athletics is that much of a benefit. there was actually a vocal group of their fans that were not happy about the move up there opinion was they can either compete for championships in D1-AA as they have recently or move up to D1-A and become fodder for the SEC SEC SEC and Big 12 and others with 5 home game some years and maybe 6 other years they do not have the enrollment, alumni base, alumni donor support, endowment, or facilities to really ever be very competitive and most likely never will and the CUSA is not just a hodge podge of teams that are left over in CUSA or that have randomly moved up when they probably should not have -
https://www.everythinglubbock.com/news/local-news/texas-tech-wool-judging-team-wins-national-western-stock-show/ LUBBOCK, Texas — Texas Tech University recently announced its Wool Judging Team won first place at the National Western Stock Show (NWSS) for the second year in a row in Denver. According to a press release from TTU and the Texas Tech Today website, the team finished with a total score of 1,968 to beat Texas A&M University and Angelo State University. The university said four members of the team also placed in the top 10 individually at the competition, led by high individual Cross Knittel from Sterling City, Texas. aggy took their eye off the ball (or their balls off the sheep) and let Tech get in there two years in a row and win them some wool judging......aggy will surely argue there is no need to be so judgemental and just fuck all of them that you can https://www.everythinglubbock.com/news/local-news/syphilis-cases-on-the-rise-in-lubbock-county-health-officials-say-take-a-look-at-the-numbers/ The Health Department held a Board of Health meeting on Friday to discuss the uptick in syphilis cases in Lubbock County. well with a winning season in football and an ass kicking of Ole' Miss in a bowl game that brings fucking season and Tech likes them some raw dogging.....and well raw dogging brings Raider Rash season

your response is stupid https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twilight_Zone_accident Landis, Folsey, Wingo, production manager Allingham, and explosives specialist Paul Stewart were tried and acquitted on charges of manslaughter in a nine-month trial in 1986 and 1987.[9 in the above case there were acquittals, but there is a clear precedent for people that are in charge of movie sets to be charged with manslaughter if it is thought that careless actions lead to a death in this case it is very unique and much worse than most because alec is both the top producer, had the highest amount of "pull" of anyone on the set and he is the one that was carelessly handling a gun that shot two and killed one and yea one really needs to "get a hold of themselves" because they expect someone to have a clue or to take any amount of responsibility at all when a production he had full control of (even if in name only as a producer which it was much more than that) and much more so power in terms of the ability to shut it all down ends up carelessly handling a gun and shoots two and kills one.....all the more so when the simple answer is at least follow industry standards (he violated at least 3 of them if not more) much less follow simple safe gun handling standards of "don't point guns at shit you do not want to shoot" and because yea the idea of don't be an asshole and realize that guns are not toys and they shoot and kill things so don't point them at people makes one a "gun nut" -

or maybe don't handle a gun like a careless asshole and against the standards of the industry that you are a leader in and then others will not get shot and killed and maybe when you are a major person in that industry and the top person on set in both terms of actual title and in terms of ability to call a halt to anything that happens because of your star power you take a small amount of initiative (as other major stars have done) and put an end to fuckery that results in the death of someone instead of taking the initiative to keep the show rolling, have unqualified people around you, and fuck around with guns that results in two shot and one dead -

because he was the only producer that happened to handle a gun in an unsafe way and contrary to industry standards for gun handling (and general safe gun handling) and pointed it at two people needlessly and shot them killing one of them and an assistant AD that has a long history of being on sets with careless gun use including one that resulted in someone else being wounded was charged (and took a plea deal) because he was the one that grabbed up the gun off the cart, did not properly check it, and handed it to alec but of course less defend alec that had ultimate control of this unsafe fuck fest of wild west gun buffoonery and ultimately pointed the gun at two people and shot them and killed one and ask why he is being charged at all when of course charges like manslaughter are specifically charges for people that do stupid shit that they should know better than to do that results in others dying even if they did not intend to hurt someone much less kill them -

alec baldwin did not follow industry standards https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-59035488 Blanks can kill. Treat all firearms as though they are loaded Refrain from pointing a firearm at yourself or anyone else Never place your finger on the trigger unless you're ready to shoot Anyone involved in using a firearm must be thoroughly briefed at an on-set safety meeting Only a qualified person should load a firearm Protective shields, eye and hearing protection should be used by anyone in close proximity or the line of fire Any actor who is required to stand near the line of fire should be allowed to witness the loading of the firearms how big of a fucking idiot do you have to be to defend someone that did not follow the standards set out by the industry they work in for the safe handling of guns on set......all while you are calling out people that have a higher standard than that of simply "don't point guns at shit you do not intend to shoot".....while defending a fucking fool that did not follow those industry standards on a set filled with other known unsafe fucking idiots that he hired and he was the one that pointed a gun at someone and killed them only a total shit for brains would try and vilify people with a standard of "do not point guns at things you do not intend to shoot" and try and call them "gun nuts" while defending someone that is highly critical of guns that set up a movie filled with unsafe assholes and then handled a gun in a careless way and someone was killed.....by a gun HE WAS HOLDING worse yet he is such a total cock he is still trying to go with "the evil gun just went off"......yea it just "went off" because that is what evil guns do they just run around and go off killing people......it does not take a criminal fuck head or a total unsafe asshole to first pick up that gun and point it at someone before "it just decides on it's own to go off".......except it is about a 99.9999999999% chance that a gun will never "just go off" (and it will never just go off while sitting there it will at leash have to be dropped or messed with in that 99.9999999999%) and a 99.9999999999% chance that even if a gun "just goes off" it will not kill someone unless some careless, clueless fuck is aiming it towards someone -

the wiki has some facts with supporting articles https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rust_shooting_incident looking at them 1. Writer and director Joel Souza conceived the story for Rust with actor and producer Alec Baldwin. The Western film was produced on a small budget of $6–7 million and was Baldwin's passion project. the WSJ article linked calls it "his passion project" and it is clear he was "the producer"......at some point and time if you want the credit them perhaps you need to think about what responsibility comes with that 2. Responsible for overseeing all weapons on set was the production's property key assistant and armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, daughter of long-time industry armorer Thell Reed.[6] Rust was Gutierrez-Reed's second film serving as lead armorer. On her first film, The Old Way, several crew members complained about her handling of firearms, including an incident in which she discharged a weapon without warning and caused lead actor Nicolas Cage to walk off set.[7] David Halls was the assistant director. In the aftermath of the incident, former colleagues reported that Halls faced complaints in 2019 about his behavior on two episodes of Into the Dark, in which he disregarded safety protocols by ignoring blocked exits and a fire lane.[8][9] In the same year, Halls had been fired from working on the film Freedom's Path after a firearm discharged unexpectedly on set, wounding a crew member.[10][11] On the set of the independent film One Way, a crew member warned producers about Halls's disregard for safety measures and said, "That man is a liability. He's going to fucking kill someone someday, and you're going to be responsible." However, the film's digital imaging technician disputes this claim, saying he knew Halls to be conscientious about safety.[12] The Hollywood Reporter reported a number of complaints raised during the production of 2019's The Tiger Rising, which also featured Rust executive producers Ryan Donnell Smith, Allen Cheney, Emily Hunter Salveson, and Ryan Winterstern.[13] so it is clear the AD on the set of Rust had a history of carelessness.....yes it says one person thought the AD was conscientious of safety, but quite a number of others seem to indicate he was a dumb ass at best......and that the armorer had issues before.....to the point that Nick Cage walked of set from the last sentence above we can see that 4 executive producers on Rust had a poor history from a film in 2019 so on the set of Rust that was written by one person and that is said to be a "passion project" of alec baldwin we can see there was an AD with s reputation for shitty safety in several films, an armorer that had a bad rep from her first film to the point Nick Cage walked off set, and that 4 executive producers had a bad rep from a film in 2019 3. further in that wiki it goes over the details of what happened on set (which seem very safety shitty and a lot of fucking up by a lot pf people) I doubt we will ever really know exactly who was "in charge" pf what, but again I think it is very clear that from a production standpoint alec baldwin was heavily involved and it was much more than just a credit to get him to be in the film.....in addition I think we can look well beyond "who hired the armorer" and ask "who hired all these other fuck ups and known careless shit heads" and "how do you get so many people known for being shitty at safety in one place" and "fuck that is a bunch of people at the top that do half assed things" and I think that starts at the very top and I feel that very top is alec baldwin....then we can look to the well documented issues on this set and crew walking off for a number of reasons including safety and specifically the careless handling of firearms......and we can see that in the past actors with authority and power (including ones that have worked with some of this collection of safety fuck ups in the past) have said "enough of this bullshit" and walked off set yet alec did not and you have to ask why.....and I feel it was because he was involved heavily as a producer and a financier and he wanted to get this done cheap and that cost someone their life 4. lastly the wiki link above says he was really not rehearsing instead he was more just talking to others about how he was going to do something while the people that got shot were fixing an issue with shadows on the set so the gun never should have been drawn and pointed at them and alec did that I think more than the question of "who hired the armorer" it should who hired the 4 EPs and the AD that were all involved in films in the past with shitty safety records and when you are talking about the hiring of 4 EPs.......well who gets higher than them....and in this case I think it is the dame guy that pulled the trigger while pointing a gun at people for no reason and that is alec baldwin -
JFC, haven't walked down there in a while, but I literally live about 5 blocks away from the site of that atrocity. I've never understood why UT doesn't have more of a presence in DFW as a whole, FW in particular. in addition to UTA and UTD that have been mentioned there is also the UTSW Medical Complex really this facility is unneeded by aggy the DFW metroplex already has too many public universities with the unneeded north Texas state-dallas that has been a massive failure and was built with the same "thoughts" in mind of "dallas does not have a research university" because of course UTD is about 500 feet north of dallas in Richardson and dallas shit bags cannot fleece it so they fucked over the north Texas state system and built north Texas state-dallas and then their shitty law school as well and got the state to renovate their shitty old dallas city hall building.....so not it looks like Fort Worth got a hold of not-so-sharp that loves to fuck off state funds on empire building there is of course UTD, UTA, UTSW, north Texas state-Denton, north Texas state-shittylaw, north Texas state-dallas, TWU-Denton, TWU-Dallas, there was the UCD-Dallas until the north Texas state system fucked that all up in the process of shitting money away on a shitty law school, there is aggy law, north Texas state-Frisco, and a Tarleton System Center in Midlothian, and TCOM-north Texas state-DO school TWU is back to calling themselves a "system" now, but I am not sure how they administer the dallas and Houston campuses I think they are really still under the accreditation of Denton.......north Texas state-Frisco is just some fake ass "new school" bullshit that us under Denton, but the dallas campus failure is their own accreditation that does say it is a "research" ranking not really an "education" ranking, but with a facility in Bryan, Temple, Baylor Dentistry Dallas, Houston Medical Research, and the Urma Lerma Derma Firma Pharmacy school in Kingsville all under the aggy medical school (now all under college station) they are pretty shittastic at research production for all that infrastructure but of course especially under not-so-sharp the aggy system has taken the approach of build shit all over the place and then fucking figure out what is might be good for sadly that (shitty) approach is part of what fucked UT Houston and the UT System should have known better than to try that

Coog High spent almost $47 million in academic side money on athletics in 2021 and has been doing similar for a number of years.....the vast majority of that is NOT the student approved athletics fee it is simply money over and above that fee that the administration chooses to subsidize athletics with with 38,500 undergrads that is about $1,200 per undergrad student per year so about $4,800 over a 4 year degree or $6,000 if it takes 5 years I believe only undergrads pay their athletics fee (generally how it is at most places), but the other transfers comes on the backs of all students so you are still looking at over $1,000 a year of $4,000 to $5,000 in the time to get a degree that is a shit load of money to put on the backs of students and all the more so if student loans are involved sure one could argue that in the Big 12 they will reduce that, but if they reduce that in any meaningful amount they simply fall further behind other P5 programs in total athletics revenue.....Texas Tech with $90 million in revenue only had $40,000 in total subsidies in that same year and they have been around the $2 million or so mark for a number of years (and reducing it)....Tech was #45 in total revenues (not including private schools and there will be a number above that) coog High had $66 million in revenues, but that is including that $47 million subsidy so if Coog High cut their subsidy in half with Big 12 money they would still be below Tech and that would still be $24 million or so in subsidies north Texas state had a total budget of just over $40 million with $30 million off the backs of students so about $850 or so per student and they are going to get next to no meaningful bump from the AAC move at some point when students wake the fuck up they are going to demand this shit stops at a ton of universities across the USA and a lot of these athlete students and the dumb fucks that think the vast majority have talent that demands a wage close to the annual income in the USA plus housing, food, and other "goodies" are going to find most of these athlete students are not getting shit because athletics programs have been cut to zero with 350 to 450 athlete students at most universities you are looking at about $10 million just in pay and then add in another year of tuition and room and board on top of that and you are dropping another $250 to $350 a year into regular students this shit is about to get really stupid -

but as stated in the article above there would not have been people behind the camera in the line of fire for the actual filming of the scene thus there was no reason for them to be behind the camera and in the line of fire to rehearse the scene they could have placed the cameras in position, moved from the line of fire, rehearsed, and then looked at the footage to see if the camera angles are how they want them and adjust from there until they have things right and film the scene there was no reason for them to be in the line of fire even during a rehearsal of the scene the FBI investigated the gun and said it could not have fired without the trigger being pulled https://www.npr.org/2022/08/15/1117577604/alec-baldwin-fbi-report-movie-shooting there was no reason that gun needed to be pointed at the people that were shot no matter what was happening on set at the time and it does not matter what some actors that most people have never heard of say on twitter because they do not have the ability to shut down a set as the producer of a film or as the single most powerful person on set that 100% has the ability to set all rules and procedures on the set and that has decades of experience on sets...and he had that power no matter his position as the producer and he was a producer in more than just name only so he had that power X2 those saying that he did nothing wrong are trying to paint him as some actor that was desperate for work, desperate for money, had no pull on set or in the industry, and thus would be in fear of pissing people off or losing their job if they made important workplace safety demands......alec baldwin on this set especially was none of those things and in fact was the complete opposite he had the ability to make all the decisions period -
also one other thing a lot of players understand the idea of playing their way into the next level and getting coached up even on a G5 team especially if that team gets some attention or runs a system that fits them (like SMU) and they understand that is better than sitting behind some dumb fuck that might be slightly better (this year) on a team coached by a fucking idiot like jimbo
-
that article is fucking stupid 1. the portal is not closed yet so those 8 other players that have not found a place yet can still land with a P5 program 2. a large number of those players landed at those P5 programs rapidly which means they were wanted 3. now to the real dumb ass part of their entire fan base.....all their shit talk about TCU and how TCU will go 6-6 nest year (still better than 5-7 oh wait BDF vs SEC SEC SEC!) and they talk about all the seniors and covid seniors for TCU and how that made a difference for them......but yet they are now acting like players that do not come in and take a job from current players or that need a year or two of practice to get meaningful playing time and make a meaningful contribution (at 5-7 IN THE SEC SEC SEC THO aggy) are not worth a fuck and no one should give a shit they are leaving and are easy to replace 4. but of course when all those players were coming in before they were the ones that were going to either come right in and push out the players that got aggy to 8-5 jimbo or they were going to be the ones that jimbo would "corch up" for next year after next when they would finally win it all 5. and when all these players leave next year.....repeat the same shit these shit heals never get a fucking clue you have to be worth a fuck to "reload" you do not "reload" with a fuck tonne of talent leaving you constantly and never maturing and then a few highly select players come in and maybe push an experienced player out for a couple of spots a fucking moron like jimbo is never going to get a bunch of "talent" together all in a season or two and get them to play as a team and compete for anything better than 3rd or 4th in the SEC SEC SEC WEST

1. your claim was that the union rules may have prevented him from even being able to check the gun I think we can see from George Clooney and Marky Whalberg (and I believe Tom Cruise and others) that union rules do not prevent that we can also see from the union guidelines above there were a lot of things that the union says should be done that were not done and some they say that should not be done that were.....like alec pointing a gun at people 2. this was not a union set no matter what and the article makes that clear when they stated the union camera crew was kicked off the set and threatened with the police.....there is no way other members of other unions that are working "union" would have stood for that if it was a union set it was a low cost low budget set period 3. they were not doing a rehearsal they were simply lining up the cameras which is why they were not in the video village.....alec alone took it upon himself to draw the gun not only once, but twice and the second time to point it in the direction of people and pull the trigger there is no reason they needed to be right there even IF it was a rehearsal they could have set the cameras, stepped out of the line of fire, had alec draw the weapon (and pull the trigger if needed) and then review the footage and adjust the cameras as needed.....and repeat that over and over but of course doing it that way takes longer, takes more effort, and ultimately cost more money.....but of course not doing that way meant that in this case someone died and another person was seriously wounded there was no reason at all that he needed to pull the gun much less have his finger anywhere near the trigger or hammer while people were in the line of fire and he and he alone is responsible for that.....especially considering that he is the most powerful person on the set even if his producer credit is just for play play.......because he is still the lone actor that makes the movie relevant to some at all and thus he has the ability to get his way period and that should include saying "wait I am not going to rehearse with a gun while people are in the line of fire period" 4. it is clear this set was extremely sloppy and careless and that starts at the top (which is alec) and if you want to argue that the producer credit is just play play then it is still clear as day to anyone with a brain and anyone that has been on a movie set or read what was happening on this set that it was sloppy and dangerous and alec should have the knowledge to see that all around him including the incidents with his stunt double and as the most experienced actor with the biggest name and 100% of the weight on set (no matter his producer title) if he gave a shit he would have stopped down and said he was not going to do anything with a weapon as long as others were in the line of fire.....but he did not....and that has to fall on him there were no union goons, other producers, other actors, money men, or anyone else that were going to say shit to alec if he said "this is fucking stupid not a chance in hell I am pointing a gun at others have them set the cameras and step back and we will do it like that until the cameras are where they want them then we will film the scene".....much less if he had said earlier on "this set is fucked and a safety disaster I am not doing shit until this gets cleaned up and one properly" he has a lot of shit to say all the time about a lot of things including guns to the rest of us.....he MAKE A CHOICE to not say shit in this instance on that set and about a lot of sloppy shit on that set and he made a choice to pull that gun and point it in the direction of others and no one on that set was forcing him to do shit he did not want to period
