  1. Social distancing and chance of Rona by taking the family on a cheap trip (airfare and hotel rates) or waiting for all this to blow over. Hard decision.....
  2. Did I see that Universal opened back up with very small crowds or was it another park?
  3. So what's the word on Universal and Disney reopening, along with their resort hotels?
  4. Picked this one today before the birds get to it. Believe it is the biggest tomato I've ever grown. After ripening up, going to a BLT meal.
  5. Smoke ring means nothing. As long as the taste and tenderness is there, you're good to go.
  6. You can try some netting draped over the plants.
  7. Had their bbq a couple of years ago when dropping my son off for camp in Rock Springs and wasn't impressed at all.
  8. In all my years growing tomatoes, I've never had a problem with birds. Found 2 tomatoes today packed at. Guess I'll have to start picking them when they start turning ripe.

I don't think I saw it on their menu right now.
  10. I've talked to many people that are flying now and reports are flights are full or almost full. Not sure if that is due to limited flights or a lot of people saying F It, I'm flying.

Hutchin's dining room is back open, which means the complimentary peach cobbler, banana pudding and ice cream is back in the rotation. However, their brisket prices are $28/lb because of supply. They make sure your not surprised by this as the have a sign posted by the entrance about the necessary increase. Still got some.

Well, that's one way to sell out each time.
  13. 16 quarts and 9 pints of dill pickles from this weekend. Cucumbers are just taking off, so should be another good year for pickles.
  14. Y'all made me do it...(okay, would have done it anyways). Royal Cookie Jar
  15. Stabby style
  16. What's in it?
  17. With St. Maarten coming back online after the hurricane that wiped out half the island I hear there are some deals to be had. Went last spring and loved the island.
  18. It's probably to mostly sold brand but there are others like Camp Chef that make a good griddle.
  19. Something that I tried last night with our smash burgers was when I flipped the burger, I put a squirt of mustard on the griddle and then put the patty on top of it. Wife said something about it before I started cooking as that is one way that In and Out can make your burger. Not that I'm a fan of In and Out but they came out pretty good. Just a way to change things up.
  20. You must not like money too much.
  21. Dang mosaic virus hit most of my squash and zucchini plants. Had to tear out 3 squash and 2 zucchinis. That left me with 1 plant of each. It hit a couple of plants at the end of last season and apparently laid dormant in the soil. Definitely will plant them in a different part of the garden next year.
  22. My bad...taps fail...
  23. Pos rep for building a carport just for your smoker.
  24. Was down at my hunting land and ran to Lancaster to fill the bellies. Da bruthas out this way said to go to Gator Pit BBQ. Got a loaded baked potato (which is really 2 potatoes) with chopped beef. Didn't disappoint. Looked at some Yelp review pics and their ribs and brisket didn't seem like something I wanted to test out but that potato hit the spot.
  25. Any of you ever heard of leaf cutter bees? Apparently their entire reason of living is to pollinate, unlike honey bees that pollinate as a side when trying to collect pollin to take back to their hive. These bees are very docile and won't sting because they don't have a need to protect the hive or a queen. They stay within 300 yards of their home so perfect for a garden and flower bed around the house. They cocoon over winter and come out when temps are above 80. Got a shipment of 200 bees this past week, put up their house by the garden and they should "hatch" within 21 to 30 days. At the end of the season when it starts cooling off, this year's bees will have laid their eggs into the empty tubes and can be stored in the fridge till next spring. Figured I would try them out. Also the kids will get to enjoy seeing them buzz around without me worrying that they are going to get stung. House and 200 bees for $70 using GYG promo code to get 10% off. Got that from Growing Your Greens YouTube video he had on these bees. www.midasbees.com
