  1. You are welcome.
  2. Good harvest today. Going to need to start giving away some squash soon. Updated pics of the inside garden and the squash plants on steriods.
  3. Don't jump the gun just yet.
  4. Cherry tomatoes are just starting to get ripe but the larger tomatoes haven't begun to even grow. I did plant a couple of tomato plants that were a little more mature and have gotten a couple off of them. Cucumbers have started to make their way up the cattle panel trellis. Zucchini and yellow squash are killing it this year so far. Most production I've had in a long time. Been going for a couple of weeks now and getting some massive ones about every other day. My strawberry plants that I left from last year are producing but only small fruit. The first 2 pics are of my garden as I got it planted back in April. 1st pic is what I refer to as the inside garden (inside of the backyard), which is a raised bed. 2nd pic is the outside garden, which was a ground bed and basically is a mud pit with all the rain we have gotten. Its killed off all the bell peppers and tomatoes that were in it. I had to replant everything awhile back and I'm back to the same thing. Only thing going strong is the cucumbers, cantaloupe and watermelon plants that I had in mounds. Going to change it over to a raised bed next year for better drainage. 3rd pic is the strawberry patch. Still trying to get my finger on how to get it to produce. The ones growing inside the patch get soggy, plus the slugs have gotten to them. Seems they want to stem out to the sunshine. Are they crowded? Do I need to thin them out? Last pictures are what I've harvested so far this season. Looking forward to it being a productive one.

  8. Wish I had a better report on 407 BBQ from tonight but seems to have been an off day for them or it was just getting food that stayed in the warmer all day. This is the first time having a "meh" experience there. It is usually top notch. He moved from a food trailer to brick and mortar a few months back and is killing it. We walked in at 7:20 and there was a line to the door. He recently had another smoker installed to keep up. At closing at 8 tonight he had 1 brisket left. I hope tonight was just an off day for him and the volume isn't affecting the quality.
  9. Holy shit. I don't know whether to eat it or make love to it.
  10. Will Roger's Conference Center BBQ....don't get too jealous. Actually the sausage had a good taste to it. Didn't eat much of it. Saving up for tonight.

  12. What place would be good to hit in Austin or North going on I-35 on Sunday evening for dinner? Traveling and haven't decided where to stay that night yet, so options are open. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

  16. Is the sliced stuff vacuum sealed or just the already chilled whole items? Not sure why I don't have a sous vide yet, but usually reheat my vacuum sealed in a big pot of hot water.
  17. Will be in Austin next Tuesday morning and was thinking of getting an online order for that night's wedding anniversary but was wondering it being kept warm that long would affect it. I would be driving back to Dallas and can put it in a cooler to stay warm for the trip. Would it be best just to get a whole chilled brisket and warm it up when I get home? This would be my first Franklin experience so I want it to be good. The other thought is to just sit in line that morning and eat it fresh for lunch and order enough to take home. 23. Oh, I just saw you are going on Carnival. Ignore everything I wrote. Enjoy the Carnivalians.
  24. Not if you are on some of the newer large ass ships. Always something to do on them. Cruise last month, I sat by the pool one hour one day and that was it. All the other time we had things going on like the wave rider, rock climbing wall, water slides, casino, arcade, mini golf, ice skating, etc. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  25. What ship are you going out on and how many dsys? Went on a 7 day East Caribbean cruise last month and had a blast. Probably because it was on Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas which is a big ass ship with lots to do and it was a free trip except our drinks and excursions. It was only the second cruise I've ever done and I think it is as good as you want it to be. Like others said, having other fun people around makes a difference and those who are experienced will be helpful. Definitely do a couple of the specialty dining options. Also, if you are going on Royal Caribbean you need to get the Key Program. Basically, you get all the perks of the suite guests plus more. I stumbled onto it before our cruise and it was worth the extra money and since I needed the internet package to keep up with work, it actually wasn't much more out of pocket.
