  1. Jambo's BBQ Shack. Ask to meet the owner while you are there. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  2. Does a girl's virginity count? Guess kind of hard to return that, huh? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  3. Definitely not City Market. Stopped in there last September and it wasn't good. It was so bad. I had to apologize to the family for taking the long way just to stop there. If you are stopping in Lockhart, Black's is going to be what you want if you eat Hutchins on the regular. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

  5. That Tri-Tip is way overdone. Good tri-tip is best at medium rare.
  6. Nope. Delta flyer program comes with Clear for free, but if you have Clear you can use it at any airport that has it set up. I fly out of Love a lot and the pre-check line can get pretty long (to the entrance) and the Clear Pre-Check is wide open. Just another business expense and worth it. Saved my ass in Atlanta a few weeks ago on Valentine's Day. If you don't fly a lot then just pre-check is good enough, but if you are a frequent flyer and don't like lines even in the pre-check then it is worth every penny. Someone asked about kids. Yes, just like pre-check your kids can be added to your account at no extra cost.
  7. About to head out in 2 weeks for a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean on RC's Harmony of the Seas. Even though we have 3 kids, they are staying behind with grandma. However, if they were going I have no doubt they would have a good time. The list of activities you can do on the boat are a mile long, hence one of the reasons the kids aren't going. I plan on a relaxing vacation, not one that I'm trying to keep my kids entertained. They do have the kids club that their job is to make sure they have a good time so the kids can bug you about how soon can they have another cruise vacation. I'm actually looking forward to this cruise. It's a huge as boat and the food in the dining area and restaurants are supposed to be quality from the reports I've seen. The buffet can be hit or miss. Disney cruise you are paying for the characters walking around but if you want meals or other activities with them, that is extra. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Damn sure does. May have to make a special trip out there on a Monday to check it out.
  10. Okay, I've never been to Grumps Burgers in Granbury, but the picture they used certainly doesn't make it standout against other burger joints. Whataburger pic taken on my phone looks better than that. Anyone ever been to this place to say how good (or bad) it is? https://www.msn.com/en-us/foodanddrink/restaurantsandnews/the-best-place-to-get-a-burger-in-every-state/ss-BBTEiS6?li=BBnb7Kz#image=44
  11. Well, there are about 700 other health coaches going (80% female) so the viewing at the pool should be good.
  12. My wife qualified for a leadership trip for an all expense paid 7 day trip on Royal Caribbean that is in mid-march. We've been on one cruise trip and that was about 15 years ago that went out of Galveston for 3 days. This is 7 days with 3 ports in the Caribbean. It's on the Harmony of the Seas and it looks like a mini-city that floats. We've got a nice room with a balcony so at least we won't be so cramped and I'm sure the food will be good. Lots of things to do on board or just lounge around the bar all day. Booked 2 excursions. One is a self driving Jeep tour through St. Marteen, ending up on the beach and the other is a snorkeling adventure in Haiti. The other stop is in Puerto Rico but there is a private beach party going on that day so no excursions which I would have rather gone on the Bacardi Rum tour. Anyone been on this particular boat and have any tips? What size rod and bait do I need to take to fish off the back of the boat?
  13. Last night went to Martin's BBQ in Nashville. Had the whole hog plate which was good as it had the seasoned skin chopped up into it. Aldo got a couple of spare ribs. They were a little on the dry side but we ate at 7:30 so not sure how long they had been sitting since coming off the smoker. It's a cool place with 2 stories it, with the second story having a beer garden where a band plays and lots of places to just hang out or play darts, ping pong, table shuffle board, etc. I thought only bbq places in Texas had lines out the door. Well, Martin's had one even in the rain but the line moved pretty quick. You stand in line to order and go take a seat. They give you a tracking device and will find you with your food.
  14. Great pork ribs and pulled pork. Didn't try their chicken.
  15. If you go to Nashville, you have to go here.
  16. When are you going to fix said issue?
  17. Had a business meeting in North Austin with a local company and some guys in from the Northeast on Friday. It was getting around lunch time and the plan was to go get some BBQ. The owner of the local biz says "How about Salt Lick?" I throw out a couple of places without trying to be too controlling as to where we head. We look outside and it's starting to sleet. He says "Well Salt Lick is a good 20 minute drive so maybe something closer will work. He mentions some place that just took over a Mexican food joint that I've never heard of and I say "Heck, to be safe we can just go around the corner and get Rudy's with these guys so they can get some Central Texas style BBQ. He says that sounds good. At least I know what to expect and will at least enjoy it. He meets us by the elevators with his wife and she says "So, you guys want bbq and need close by. We're going to take you all to this most awesome bbq restaurant. It's called County Line BBQ...... My hopes and dreams did just as the elevator...went straight down. BBQ was shit. Only thing worthwhile was the bread and honey butter. I told the other two guys from Yankee land that when they come back to Texas, I'll personally take them to a much better BBQ place. They looked at me like "better than County Line?", like it was the best bbq they have ever had.
  18. Damn, guess I'll have to wait till they open up in Ft. Worth. Looks like cowtown has some good bbq going. 407 BBQ just reopened this weekend in their new, larger location.
  19. Does anyone speak jive?
  20. According to MSN, in Texas is at Lucy's Fried Chicken in Austin. Never been there, so don't know if true or not. https://www.msn.com/en-us/foodanddrink/restaurantsandnews/the-best-fried-chicken-in-every-state/ss-BBN9s9g?li=BBnb7Kz#image=44
  21. Had a good morning. Tomorrow is for the kids to end the season.
  22. Spent the last 2 nights processing the deer. Vacuumed sealed tenderloins, backstraps, roasts and cubed up meat for sausage and hamburger to be done later on. Lots of work but should be set on good clean meat for awhile.
  23. Did pretty good this morning. Started this morning with 25 mph winds and snow flurries. Snow stopped at shooting time but the wind kept up. Helped the birds commit but it was chilly with that wind.
  24. Looks like it's going to be a cold one in North Texas this weekend for duck hunting. Maybe all the shallow water in the fields will freeze up and concentrate the birds.
  25. I'll take 3 orders for here and 1 order to go.
