  1. 6 fucking minutes? Based on what?
  2. What the hell was that "freekick"? They're about to get an equalizer since we decided to lay off this half.
  3. That was suboptimal but I don't know how Ali could've grabbed that. Just a smart shot.
  4. I don't think this will be a penalty but I swear he clipped the back of Jota's foot at the end.
  5. Err. VAR ruled it off which was the right call.
  6. MO SALAH! MO SALAH! MO SALAH! RUNNING DOWN THE WING! SALAH LA LA LA LA! THE EGYPTIAN KING!
  7. I enjoyed it. It's no Winter Soldier even though it followed the same formula. But it was a fun popcorn flick. My only real issue was it felt very cut up and sewn together again. Everything felt rushed and there weren't many moments to let the characters breathe. I wonder what the story was before they dropped Sidewinder into it since Giancarlo was a late addition. I think this had 5 screenwriters and it showed. The whole Ruth character was weird just because she was awkward looking. Was she 4'8"? I get she was the Widow stand-in. I love the Isaiah Bradley story and his comic was really good. I also like Sam as Cap. I said to my friend after the movie that I didn't know we were getting an Incredible Hulk sequel, interesting given they shied away from that movie for 17 years. I liked HF and I really like that he's decided to do more movies like this. I liked all the action scenes. Even the CGI shitfest final battle at the end. I wished they didn't market the Red Hulk and left that more as a surprise but I doubt they could with all the merchandising.
  8. Diaz with the body goal
  9. Well there you go. It will be a Big Noon then if it follows the same draft order.
  10. It comes and goes. It does get better with time. Music has that amazing ability to transport you right back to the exact moment you first heard a song or a time period where you heard that song constantly. I took my mom some flowers yesterday and did my usual son duties of checking that things were fine at their house. This thread reminded me that I want to grab a box of letters that my dad wrote his parents when he was fresh out of high school and starting his 4 year tour in the Navy. Being a bit myopic, I never really asked him about his time in the Navy. He would offer up some stories but I never really asked that many questions. Of course now I would love to ask him all sorts of questions about that time. These letters will help fill in the gaps. Though we share a similar trait of terrible penmanship so I may to do some guessing. I may try to transcribe these so I can have a record in case my kids ever have interest in it. I realize what my father did for me is really not something we do for our own children to give them a history of who we are as a person. Maybe something like that is just wasted on youth but I know I get excited when I can get a glimpse of his past.
  11. @sith_horn, where do you live? I feel like we can crowdsource you more options since you seem like the kind of guy who is open to trying new things.
  12. The first half is some of the best cinema in a long time. The second half goes off the rails but I'm glad it's there. I like that the director tried it. I think it just went too hard in an absurd fashion. It was a bit of "oh they're not going there, OH THEY DID". I did not like the dinner scene. All of that said, it was the first movie in a while that I thought about days later and searched out analysis on. The quarry shot is just breathtaking. The cinematography is top notch. I wish I could've seen it in the intended format. I would have no issue if it or Anora wins Best Picture. I would recommend checking out Anora.
  13. Only the Michigan game was moved to help make Fox whole. We moved the Ohio State home and home back before Covid. I believe each network gets one game to choose as their 1st choice every year. That's why Fox is announcing Big Noon games way in advance and not the 2 week window leading up to it. Joel Klatt once talked about that was why Texas OU wasn't a Big Noon game one year and instead went to ABC back when we were still in the Big 12. Maybe that's changed now that the Big 10 is no longer with ABC/ESPN. That said Ohio State at Oregon went to NBC for something like that each team gets a protected game. Maybe it makes no difference in OOC games. Maybe it does.
  14. It should be a Big Noon game unless NBC or CBS get to it first. I don't know how they handle who picks what but Fox will want this and Ohio State Michigan so I guess it depends what they want to trade it for. I'd love it to be on CBS since we never got a chance to be on there with the SEC.
  15. Anyone who sat through driver's ed had to deal with these dumb videos.
  16. You know what was badass, was 9/11
  17. Coffin Flop Has This Ever Happened to You? TURBO TIME!
  18. Annoyed we couldn't tighten up in the final minute but it's utterly ridiculous that game was still going on. There should've been a foul in their end before the two morons hit each other.
  19. bolverk probably likes sloppy steaks.
  20. 126 million viewers for the game, 7.5 million more tuned in just for halftime and then tuned back out.
  21. The maps in the Nintendo Power magazine were always one of my favorite parts of reading that magazine every month.
  22. We had to add Sam Houston because the pussies in the SEC only play 8 conference games when we were playing 9 in the Big 12. San Jose State and UTEP were already on the schedule for a while. I'd much prefer a late September bye before 5 straight weeks of SEC games.
