We're going to spend all this energy and time debating this shit after a Saturday where nothing went our way only to have Duke upset Virginia and this is all pointless when two G5 get in.
So we expect the committee and TV networks to take into account that the SEC may start cancelling big name OOC games if we get left out or that the SEC might drop the Conference Championship Game if Bama gets left out? Kind of a pick your poison situation.
If we do make the top 12, I'm going to need someone to make a gif of the bottle throwing from the Georgia game but with our playoff ranking on the bottles.
We've had dudes in this thread saying other dudes are "retards" based on takes they disagree with. Are you calling out those personal attacks or just ones against Nicole?
I'd like to be in because I enjoy watching our team play other good teams. I'd like to annoy other fan bases. I'd like to keep our OOC matchups except Notre Dame because f those freeloaders.
I think we'll be ranked 12 tonight. There's no risk to it. BYU beats Tech, you slide BYU up and take Tech down from 4/5 where they'll be tonight. BYU comes in at 8 or 9. Maybe it pushed OU back to 9 or 10. Bama wins or loses, they're still in. Kirby has a Bama problem. They would have to blow Bama out by 30+ for Bama to not still make it with a loss. They don't want the SEC removing the CCG so there will be no penalty to Bama unless they just don't show up and even then who knows. Duke wins the ACC then I believe they can take two G5 champions.
Take as don't be delusional like he is. We're not going independent. We hitched our wagon to the SEC. If people want to cut out OOC marquee games then fine but a steady diet of worthless indy scheduling like Notre Dame, no thanks.
Yeah people pointing to this fail to realize Bama had 2 P4s on their schedule this year. Sure both were awful but it's more than a lot of teams are doing. USF isn't P4 but when you have FSU, why not just scrape the bottom of the barrel for your other OOC? Bama still has 2 P4 teams on a lot of their future schedules.

If Ole Miss was a borderline playoff team in the 10-12 range, I could see that but the most I could see is the committee making them go on the road as a 9/10 and bump everyone up a spot. Those teams were all getting home games anyway except Notre Dame.
I agree that we'll keep Ohio State and Michigan. Completely agree that we should drop Notre Dame. We should not be in the business of allowing a team that has no conference structure to fight through to get credit when not winning games against big boy conferences. NBC would hate to lose the Texas game as Notre Dame isn't exactly killing it in the ratings unless they're playing an SEC team.
Maybe we get to 12 which gives the committee cover of well we had to put Tulane/North Texas in because of our rules that all the conferences agreed to.
We lost by a fuckton to 5. It wasn't a 3 point loss like Vandy had or Bama. It was 4 scores. That's why we dropped like a rock and as we've seen, the aggy win didn't really impress anyone, almost as if they thought it was going to happen.
