  1. The key is to pay attention and to be thoughtful. My wife doesn’t dig consumeristic Christmas so I try to get something unique. This year she is getting a prayer book from 1926. She loves books, her faith, and she has a fondness for history and antiquity. This gift will be a home run grand slam.
  2. I love my series 4. My most common uses... texts, viewing my calendar, reminders, weather, Strava, workouts/heart rate monitor, music apps, MFA, screening phone calls, timers.
  3. My Bondell did not survive my toilet replacement. When I reattached the bidet, the part where it mounts broke. I am sad without bidet.
  4. Inks lake rents kayaks. And canoes I believe
  5. Some brands are not compatible with some of the bypass relays that emulate toggle off and on. As a result, theoretically one could just install a switch to toggle on and off manually If needed.
  6. Lost almost all defensive starters Mash unit at secondary 2nd string QB is 2nd string RB Lack of depth in multiple groups You guys are delusional, if you don’t think this is par for the course. Rome wasn’t built in one day, but it burned in one.
  7. I have a handheld that I use on my wrinkle free shirts if they don’t get pulled from the dryer in a timely manner. Works to get wrinkles out easil and faster than ironing. However as the previous poster said it won’t crease fabric.
  8. Interesting... I’m looking at Sony vs LG oled...Sony pic looks sharper and the pic settings easier and less fussy. LG pic seems to be brighter and the colors more brilliant. I haven’t looked at quality yet but have always had good luck with Sony products.
  9. Jimmy, keep us posted. I recently found the same thing on my wife’s computer but have been too lazy to fix it. By the way Windows 7 is supposed to be end of support in January 2020.
  10. Agree with this 100%. It sucked writing that check knowing the ROI isn’t there. However my paranoid ass is also enjoying the endless hot water. Also agree that electric ones aren’t well regarded. Luckily I had a big ole gas pipe there.
  11. Yup. I replaced a 40G in my attic with a tankless. Was $4200 and then I got a $650 rebate from Texas Gas. Net it was roughly 2x the cost of a conventional. However I like not having 40 gallons overhead. It does much better supporting simultaneous showers running so that is a bonus.
  12. What’s the job? Nick Green at Union Jack Plumbing was my go to guy but he limits what type of work he does now. I’ve had a lot of referrals to Wilson Plumbing but they central - dunno if they go to the sticks
  13. I paid $25/ft as well. Steel posts, cedar pickets and PT pine rails. Patriot Fence is who I used (ATX) Would recommended.
  14. Yeah mine too but only with this site. It’s like there is a tapa miner.
  15. I have this one and love it. Good pressure control and looks sleek.
  16. I tried the Toto washlet while on vacation. It’s pretty fancy but I’m not sure it’s worth the price tag and it sure looks retirement home bulky. The spray alignment feature was really the only thing I found useful. Everything else was just ok. I can get the same pressure control with a non powered bidet. I live in a warm climate so the heated seat and the heated water would only get used like one month out of the year. The air dryer is interesting but in reality it would take a long time to blow dry your butt.
  17. My doc said they changed the classification of the DRE which makes it optional. Something about little evidence to support the benefits and high number of false positives which results in numerous unneeded biopsies. He asked if I wanted one at my last annual. I told him that I would not particularly enjoy it but that he’s the one who is qualified to make the call and to do what is medically recommended. He personally hadn’t seen the benefit himself in his experience so he advised against it. So I didn’t get the poke.
  18. I have a flashlight with a fluorescent tube I put in the gear loft. It lights up the whole tent.
  19. Costs can vary dramatically across different contractors for the same thing. I never understood this myself with being able to get so much information on the internet. For one job I got quotes ranging from $2k to $7k. The second factor is what you want and your taste. If you don’t know what you want, pay a designer to help. It seems like a waste of money but they can really speed up decisions and they have contacts and connections.
  20. Oh and 4 side brick so no concerns about splashing on wooden siding.
  21. I’m in the exact same situation. I do recall there was small erosion before we had them. The soil has a lot of rock and i don’t have a basement. So actually my foundation would probably appreciate the additional water, no? Any other considerations besides doorways?
  22. Anyone happy NOT having gutters on their house? I need to replace the gutters on the house. It sure seems like gutters can be more of a pain than they are worth. I’m thinking of going gutterless again. Thoughts?
  23. I got a Goodman. Supposed to be identical to Amana for less $
