  1. Goode looked like she was favoring her wrist a bit in the open practice. . . she had some surgery in the offseason. Also, I like how Stewart opens up catching and in the 4 hole. No easing in . . .
  2. Just goes to show you certainly don't have to be smart to be a successful real estate developer or oil catter/football team owner.
  3. https://pac-12.com/article/2024/02/08/saturday-softball-games-move-easton-stadium Saturday's games moved to UCLA due to field conditions. No streaming available. We avoided early Austin games due to bad Feb weather in years past but mother nature said not so fast my friend.

  5. so I'm guessing starters are Gutierrez and then Mac against ucla in the circle tomorrow. It's nice to have 5 pitchers now.
  6. "agent! . . agent!!! agent!!! . . agent, you fucking piece of shit!!"
  7. Yeah, self checkout is far superior to the old way. I'd get stuck behind some shitbird paying for toothpaste and diapers with a pile of coupons and a letter of credit from the bank of luxembourg.
  8. I'm so hungry I could eat the ass-end out of a dead Rhino.
  9. Yep, agree. With her and Mitchell in the lineup and then another hitter with some pop at DP, we can have some real power.
  10. I misquoted me. I meant Stewart. But still not a fit. She’s a corner infielder and catcher. Had never seen her in person.
  11. I caught a little bit of the intersquad today before heading over to the alumni baseball game. Coach has added some beef to the lineup. Stewart, Brown, and Mitchell have tons of power. They were hitting BP off a coach, but of the newcomers, Stewart, Mitchell, and Henry caught my eye. During in and out, the positions appeared to be (bearing in mind they had no numbers on except for batting helmets): LF: Scott/couldn't tell who back up was; CF: Bella/Henry RF: Maloney (by herself) 3B: Mitchell/Stewart SS: Martinez (no backup) 2B: Goode/Washington 1B: Cimusz/Brown catcher: Atwood Didn't get to see any of the pitchers actually throw. Kavan is tall and skinny. Lol at me upthread saying Mitchell should be RF. She's versatile but doesn't have the wheels for that. If Henry can hit against live bullets as advertised, I wouldn't mind seeing her get some looks there.
  12. I'm sure there was a good reason, or simply a reason, to go to Africa. And one of you WW2 buffs will be along to tell my why. But the show sure as shit didn't really explain it, at least not well. To confuse the Germans? OK.
  13. Was the imbedded artist invited to the racial healing session?
  14. I think the show could drop in a line or two of dialogue to inform rubes like me that the extant fighters don't have enough range to go with them. I'm sure lots of viewers are not aware of that fact. In the 1st episode, I was wondering why they had no fighter escorts with them. I am not a ww2 history buff though.
  15. Think big picture. You can reasonably expect LSU, Bama, Ole miss, Tennessee, Georgia, Missouri etc to have good passing offenses with great athletes. Not to mention who we might see in the playoffs. “Let’s just hope we don’t face a good qb” is not a great defensive strategy.
  16. It's bizarre that the football coaching hire thread is on the recruiting board.
  17. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure the b-17 was not pressurized, what with the open gunner doors and the O2 masks and all.
  18. I've only watched the 1st episode, but he's by far my favorite character, and he's had little dialogue. I'm not a huge fan of Elvis.
  19. I watched the 1st episode and thought it was really well done, as expected. The combat scenes were intense, and brutal. Narratively, it was a bit disjointed in that we start with Buck and Bucky as the heroes, but are then introduced to the perspective of navigator narrator, as if he's Smalls the protagonist in awe of Benny the pilot. But then that perspective is ditched as Buck hitches a ride with Saltburn's crew. It made it a bit hazy in terms of perspective.
  20. Not this shit again. I remember the old thread about this on the scat site. This guy is about as "innocent" as Rodney Reed or Avery or Adnan. If you're concerned about wrongful/questionable murder convictions, may I suggest this one or this one. It is interesting to see more and more folks on these threads skeptical of innocence groups and/or advocacy journalists, which is both good and bad I guess. The old thread on Rodney Reed (on this site or the old one - can't remember) took a humorous turn over time. It went from "fuck the police" to "yeah, this piece of shit is guilty as fuck" over the course of time/pages.
