Maybe we'll eventually find out if the camp even had a plan and if so how comprehensive it was. Does the county have a plan? Does the county have a plan for the camps? Does the county know if the camp had an emergency plan? Did they review it with the camp? Did any of them follow a plan? Were they all negligent? I won't hold my breath waiting for answers. I understand why nobody wants to blame the parents but if there's nobody else checking what the camp was up to, it was incumbent on them.- 4th of July Texas Flood

At some point these dipshits will hopefully understand that global warming is not only making downpours more frequent, but more intense, as well. Your side piece would've understood. Anyway here's the Kerrville cm along with all the cowards in city leadership running out of the room yesterday while a reporter yells at him that parents are demanding answers. m2-res_470p.mp4- Carpetbagging weasel faced smarmy little bitch, Ted Cruz

Officials across the country report being “ghosted” by FEMA - apparently the Trump regime has majorly restricted FEMA’s ability to directly communicate without their words first being evaluated by political appointees (who don’t have disaster experience). https://www.cnn.com/2025/07/02/politics/fema-critical-funding-disaster-response- 2025 Thread of the Rains

That was not real. and also since this thread is supposedly only for weather info, your post ran afoul of the rules, and so did my post correcting yours. Shame on me.- July 4th Hill Country Flooding Tragedy

Dumb q probably - but do I understand, he went to the camp after the NWS warning, so probably close to 2 when he got there? Then he couldn't find her after 2 hours of searching, but somehow reached her on a cell phone? And she died in the flood. Jfc.- The Leopards Eating Faces and Unlubed Dildo of Consequences Thread

You could just read what was posted a few posts before yours with links to their archived website. Or you could just surmise based on your experience at some random camp 50 years ago. Which is best? Who knows?- 4th of July Texas Flood

Wait 'til more people figure out all the work their children have been putting into school so they can go to med school is for naught because there's no longer any gov't. student loans available. I'm not sure if that'd go into news or CR though so...- 2025 Thread of the Rains
I don't think that's the case anymore. Either way many people have stopped using it over the years -- or if they're less than 50 years old they may never have used it -- and the site is antagonistic at best towards its users and real information, anyway.- 4th of July Texas Flood

https://www.kxan.com/investigations/federal-forecast-concerns-surface-in-texas-deadly-flooding-debate/ This strikes me as extremely fucked up in a multitude of ways. 4 hours later. Posting it on Facebook and pretending that's where people get their news.
