I can't believe my parents were so selfish that they didn't consider that their 50th Anniversary and dinner celebration would occur at the exact time as the Spring Game. Guess I'm DVRing it.

DVRing your parents 50th probably won’t win your any brownie points with them but you will probably get a lot of reputation from the board.   Good job.

Oh yeah, if you go check out the artwork, a lot of them are from out of state. It's a great event, last year when we talked to a few of the artists they were all really big fans of coming to FW for Main Street. Some really cool stuff out there too even if a lot of it is very spendy.

The artist love it because it is one of the few venues that doesn’t charge them to have a tent.  If you place high enough in a category, you get a free space.

I wish they would put a cap on the number of consequetive years an artist can go. Seems like some of the artists have been there for ten years.

Still love the event though.  I go every year.

Anyone have a recommendation for golf lessons here in town?

I've used Amy Fox in the past.  She is expensive but really good.  She coaches several college golfers that were trying to go pro.

She is at Tierre Verde in Arlington.

Yes.  Ricky Williams was technically a walk-in when he played at Texas.  He signed with the Phillies and that made him ineligible for a scholarship. If memory serves me correctly, the Phillies picked up his college tuition.
if the argument is that it hasn’t happened recently, then that is probably correct.  But it has happened in the past.
On a side note, Ricky (not Baker) was the first walk on to win the Heisman.

Wouldn't that technically make RW the only non-scholarship Heisman winner? Pretty sure blowU was paying Fakers tuition last year. (and bail)

The Heisman was promoting Baker as the only former walkon to win.  They weren't referring to the current year.

    Didn't Ricky have a contract?
