  1. Fixed. Also, unblock surlyhorns.com so we can see you on the internet again.
  2. Immediately cancelled YTTV after getting the email today about the 30% sub increase. Completely insane, I'll watch shit a year later on hulu or wherever. The $50 was pissing me off each month as well.
  3. I have the house to myself this weekend so I'm looking for a game to dive into for a few days. The only games I have are Mario Odyssey, Zelda BOTW, Mario Kart, Mario Bros U, Rocket League and FIFA 18 I think. I'm thinking about Links Awakening but I know there are some interesting 3rd party games out there too but I don't keep up with the trends much. What is a fun and immersive game for a weekend with no kids?
  4. Well shit. I never once imagined this story could be done justice as a film but it could work as a series. We'll see if they can tell the whole story without a fuckload of exposition. The obviously forced comparison of Apple to Asimov was gross. Stop that.
  5. I used to watch Blind Date for the comedy value. Dating around isn't goofy or anything like that, it's more of an earnest look at dating and human interaction. I think it's one of their better reality shows.
  6. Yeah that one was real tough to get through. I'm surprised they featured such a socially awkward, stammering goober.
  7. I think she's doing really well, but I have noticed that they make a point to show all her instructions when docking or leaving which they did not do for previous bosuns unless there was a fuckup. At least that's my perception. And I think she handled the "Sweetie" thing really poorly by going to Sandy before talking to her crew. I think that Pete is such a clueless dumbass that he really had no idea he was being disrespectful.
  8. There's some good comedy in the first one between Tiff and the sassy blonde guy, can't remember his name.
  9. Scheduled a consult for next week to get it done by Shaw. My balls are already nervous.
  10. This piece of performance art could be x-posted in this thread, steelshank's, derkadogs and vic's tinder saga.
  11. Yep, I haven't made my own corn tortillas since they came out.
  12. One episode in, and dicknose Pete may be the most obnoxious fuckwad on TV.
  13. It's not on Spotify, @Goredho, I lost interest in music for over a decade and failed to follow through on a lot of stuff like that. Our first album is on there, Write me in metal/ Make me forever, but it is more of a space/dream rock album. Still pretty chill though.
  14. The last music I was able to finish and "release" with my old band was actually a mixtape of ambient soundscapes that we created over two weekends while we were attempting to record some spacey folk songs. I come back to it sometimes because it still sounds really unique to me since maybe 90% of the sounds were made with guitars which is rare with ambient music and how effortless it is to make pads and soundscapes electronically. https://baytadarell.bandcamp.com/track/red-bird https://baytadarell.bandcamp.com/track/green-song
  15. Thanks everybody for sharing their work on this thread. I've been meaning to add something here, and it's getting hard to find areas of this board that I enjoy visiting. Since this thread has wandered into more ambient territory, I'll share something I was working on last week. It's a vocal ensemble I put together as a backing texture in "collage-y" kinda piece I'm doing with a friend involving an acoustic tracked on a cassette and some voice samples. I rendered this track just to a/b the configuration of the parts and just kept listening to it on its own because it's really calming.
  16. If you get a USB mic, you won't have to worry about analog signal path questions. And do you need to move around a lot that would necessitate having a lapel/lav mic? I use one of those snowball mic's on a tripod on the desk and turn the gain up.
  17. They filmed a lot of season 2 in Lockhart, I think I remember a scene at McKinney Falls too.
  18. It's a slow burn but gets really good by the end of season 1. Each season has a pretty different feel iirc. Max Richter did the score which is very heavy and beautiful. It did feel like they got too far off the path a few times, but it was a good show and stayed interesting until the end.
  19. I can't get that damn Eric Clapton song out of my head now.
  20. Yeah that was hilarious and amazing.
