  1. We have 3 girls. Used a family name on my wife's side for one. Used a family name from my side for one. And we used one that was unique to just us.

Davis was rejected for the one representing my side. We went with Sierra.

I tell my daughter that she's named after a truck full of beer in the mountains. 🍻

Aw shit Omega is the same age as Boba lol. WELP. Guess we'll have to wait for Bad Batch S2 lol

Yeah, I couldn't remember the timeline between the end of Rebels and RTJ. This show is supposedly 5 years after RTJ.

As for Omega, the more I think about it, even tho she is the same age as Boba, we haven't yet seen her story arc so seeing her now would be somewhat spoilery and they probably don't want to do that.

And it feels like it won't just be Boba, Fennec, Mando, and Boba's little menagerie that he's gathered, facing off against the Syndicate.  I feel like we have a few more players coming in for the next episode.  The Syndicate was pretty fucking big.

There’s a rag tag group of warriors out there made up of Boba’s brothers and sister known as the Bad Batch.

And it just so happens that Fennec knows all about them.

  4. Both defense were completely gassed last night so I understand the NFL wanting to limit the length of OT and thus the opportunity for the walk-off TD

But I the coin flip aspect up the current system just really leaves you feeling unsatisfied.

As stated above, I'd be ok with some sort of real time stats to decide which team gets the coveted first possession.

Last night, even after adjusting for the yards gained in OT, the Chiefs had

    - more total yds

    - more rush yds

    - more pass yds

    - more first downs

    - more total plays

    - more yds per play

I was kinda surprised when I saw those numbers as I thought the Chiefs D played horribly and felt bad that Josh missed the opportunity to get the ball again. But now, all things being equal, I can say that Pat deserved to get the ball first.

  5. I’m too late to edit my post above.

I just want to clarify that I’d be in favor of the total yards determination to replace the coin flip in OT - not for it to determine the game  winner.

(yes I understand that changing the method in which 1st possession is established would probably not change the frequency in which 1st possession holders win the game)

The playoff gets a lot of hate, but this is why I like it.

You can absolutely argue it was a true national championship, because two other teams who looked really damn good all year in other conferences got their chance, and Bama and Georgia crushed both of them.

I hated the sec rematch during the bcs era when it was obvious polling favored the sec and it felt like too much built in bias where other teams/conferences weren't given the chance to compete.

Michigan and Cinci had solid seasons, won conferences, and both were demolished by the two teams who made the final. I don't understand how you can say they didn't both deserve to be in the game after that showing.

I don't like what the playoffs have done to the bowls as they currently exist, but that doesn't mean that the bcs + bowls model was better. Make the bowls part of the playoffs, and players will stop opting out and fans will start caring about bowls again.

The 4 team playoff does kind of suck because it only gets you about 1/3 of where you should be with playoffs and it still does damage to the existing system. So just expand, and cfb postseason will be exciting again.

Of course, this was all in motion to happen more quickly before aggy threw a fucking temper tantrum and set things back, but we'll get there again.

Why is the Bama demolishing of Georgia excused?

    It did happen.

Neither Michigan or Cincy played worse in the  playoff than did UGA in that CCG.

No one is questioning the obvious talent of UGA and Bama.

What folks are tired of is the endless excuse making whenever an secsecsec team loses and ecstatic fellatios when they win.

  7. We are all (well all of us without an ‘A’ on our hats) tired of the same teams winning it every year.

The current configuration has become a self fulfilling prophecy - the same teams win because they have all the talent and they have all the talent because they win.

There’s a theory, that over time( a couple seasons) that an expanded playoff would spread the talent around as the doorway to the post season is widened. Again, Bama and tOSU and the like are still gonna get theirs but if the “beauty contest” component is lessened and more guaranteed spots are available and more access is gained then yes, I could see how the talent will eventually begin to spread around.

Of course, then there’s also the NIL and the portal so who knows what it’s gonna look like long term.

Mulkey got told "You'd better take that LSU job, cause we're not putting up with your shit, anymore." It all came down to the new basketball arena. Mulkey wanted it on campus, in between the Ferrell Center and the baseball and softball stadiums. Baylor was in negotiations with City of Waco and some private developers to put it on the bank of the Brazos, on the downtown side of I-35. The arena project will cost $185 million. Waco's chipping in $65 million, and it's going to anchor a $700 million downtown river development.

They told Mulkey several times to STFU, they were going to put a statue of her up in front of the new arena, and make everything look smooth on the outside. She wouldn't shut up. Completing the negotiations required meet and greets with a lot of people with serious money, and Baylor was tired of Mulkey showing her ass at every possible moment, and they weren't going to let her go into negotiation meetings screaming about having the arena in an area that was too small and was going to remove about 50% of the parking from the three other facilities there.

She'd been a pain in the ass for years, and you can usually get away with being an ass when you're winning, BUT when the money boys tell you to sit down and STFU, you either do it or go someplace else.

Both sides have been quiet about it, but it wasn't Mulkey's choice.

The only coach who's voluntarily left Baylor since I started covering them in around 2006* is Matt Rhule, and he was writing his number on NFL bathroom stalls before he got the Baylor job.

*Disclaimer: I don't cover anything except football, basketball and women's basketball, and I cover as little women's basketball as I have to.

She was a coach that brought national title banners to Waco.

If this is true, and I have zero reason to believe otherwise, then I quote this to offer some perspective on what happened between Leach and Tech.

I’ve said multiple times over the years that their relationship soured long before Adam James ever went into that closet.

Hindsight being 20/20 and all that and the Tech fb decade of futility hasn’t changed my opinion that Mike wanted to leave and Tech wanted him to go - the only variable was how much was it gonna cost both parties.

The above statement in no way denies what Mike brought to the program via wins and media attention and an overall elevation of it’s status.
