  1. I guess it's good pitching when the batters strike out but when they are chasing stuff out of the zone is it really? Just some really foolish looking at bats right there.

And I know there's movement on the ball that's - that's not what I'm talking about. It's all the golf swings at stuff low and away that kills me. If they are swinging like that it means they saw the ball go down there.

    Thanks...

Did not see a QB commit in 2020 class... besides going after JC or Grad-transfer QB's, what's Wells recruiting plan to add more QB's??

If he wasn't hurt, 6'3" Frosh Maverick Mcivor from San Angelo would have been Bowman's backup to start the year.

I think it's pretty clear he knew Tyner couldn't hang at this level.  I'm fairly sure starting him was a statement to Duffey and the rest of the team that the guy who works hard and does things the right way will get the first crack at a starting job.

    I agree.

Aware starting QB for Tech hurt.

What's the story on "complete dumb pass for thinking otherwise" here regarding going with Jett going forward?

He didn't start Jett last week vs OU

Is Jalen Hurts the first QB in history to play with NFL-bound teammates? If no, why is his passer rating higher than every QB in history?

It's his talent + the system + the players around him

    It ain't just him.

Right, not saying those guys weren't solid or good or whatever, just saying there's a reason why JH is leading the Heisman race (and KM and BM won one) and the Tech guys didn't, and it isn't just the logo on the helmet.

Yeah, playing with a teammates bound for the NFL is exactly the same as playing with a bunch scrubs.

Having played football with Taylor Potts since middle school, I kept up with him at Tech. Imagine my surprise when I saw some dude that looked exactly like him, but with the name “Nick” on the back of his jersey. That one was weird

I believe "Nick" joined a very small club that day. In fact, it only has 6 members to date and I call it the "Greatest QBs in Tech History" club.

The membership (in order by date of entrance)

Zebbie Lethridge, Kliff Kingsbury, "Corey" Hodges, Graham Harrell, "Nick", and Seth Doege.

Who does have an idea then? No one can be spot on on these draft picks. Go to every front office and see how many terrible picks are made. That includes input from all coaches and scouts.

You can do this on the other side and see people rave about a player drafted and they bust. Same thing happens on the recruiting for college.

I'd love to see who exactly on here thought Mahomes was going to do what he's doing right now. Especially with him playing for Tech.

Pretty sure a bunch of Tech fans did. We weren't blinded by the W/L record like everyone else was. I also seem to recall pretty heated debates about why Tech wasn't too concerned about whiny Baker taking his ball and going home.
