  1. I thing they had a hit and run called with Klein and Jung, not a steal. Jung just had a pitch in the dirt that he couldn't reach and the catcher made a great throw.

  2. Understand the lefty/lefty matchup but if your lefty can't throw strikes or fool the batters at all then it's not really an advantage

Said 30mph..... temp in the 60's

Are you sure it's blowing out to right?

It's settled down considerably from earlier this afternoon when it was a gusty and blowing toward the SW.

I just didn't see a legal tag, since the 3Bman dropped the ball (of course) while tagging him.

Yep, he dropped in several times but the dude just stood there so eventually he was tagged

I still don't understand how the guy on 3rd was called out.

It was a hit with bases loaded, he has to advance home. Guy on 2nd has to advance to 3rd.

Since 3rd baseman didn't have to throw home, he easily tagged the runner on way from 2nd to 3rd

    (lost in regionals)

These Supers are paired according to national seeds. So, it makes sense that it would carry forward to Omaha.

What doesn't make sense is everyone on same side of bracket not playing on the same days.

  7. since Tech is the #8 seed and UCLA is the #1, I assume that those two regions are paired.

UL is the #7 but that's the only other rank that I can remember.

You'd think the #4 and #5 would be playing today too (if they are both still alive)

Not the first time he's been arrested or driven like a crook:

An Auburn man was arrested in Centralia on a felony eluding charge after allegedly leading authorities on a vehicle chase starting somewhere in Thurston County and ending on foot in Centralia.

A Washington State Patrol spokesperson didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment regarding what prompted the chase.

In Centralia, police were notified at around 2:30 a.m. Saturday of a pursuit heading southbound on Interstate 5. Officers deployed spike strips on the southbound Exit 82 ramp, in case the vehicle’s driver, later identified as Javier Caldera, 25, tried to head into Centralia — which is allegedly what happened, said Centralia Police Department Sgt. Dave Clary.

The vehicle drove over the strips, and blew at least one tire, said Clary, and ended up crashing into a nearby fence on Harrison Avenue. Caldera allegedly left the vehicle and ran away. Officers looked around the area for a couple hours without finding Caldera.

Clary said officers went to businesses in the area and described the suspect to staff members. One eventually spotted Caldera on foot in the area and contacted police. Officers responded and arrested him without further incident.

He was turned over to WSP.

Not confirmed if this is the same person, but the interwebs claims it is:

Caldera was arrested on suspicion of murder, gross vehicular manslaughter, hit-and-run resulting in property damage, driving under the influence and driving with a suspended or revoked license. He was booked into the Southwest Detention center with a bail of $1 million

Another vehicle knocked to the right into a building:

It's amazing that the car that hit the building didn't also have a fatality - some major damage to that vehicle. It appears to have been airborne when it struck the wall - judging by the fence damage which looks like a car flew over it and not through it.

I'd like to see the official report on the chain reaction of events. I bet crash sight investigating would be a pretty interesting career.

  9. Yeah, dude needs to edit that down a tad.

I counted at least 3 wrecked vehicles, did all the people get beamed out right before impact? I know the pulverized car had to have had a fatality - but no sign of a body anywhere?

Everyone only pointed to one dude sitting WAY over on other side of median. But they were all pretty non-chalant about wherever the deceased was.

5 teams (TTu, OSU, WVU, Rapelor, TCU) with 3 hosting (Lubbock, OKC, Morgantown)...but point still stands.

It's even more ridiculous when you look closer at the brackets and see that the ONLY possible super regional matchup was between the top two teams.

At least the 12 has 1 guaranteed flag in Omaha.

secsecsec is also guaranteed 1 and has a chance to send 5

Ark/Miss, Auburn, LSU, Miss St, Vandy,

ACC has Duke, FSU,  L'ville, NC

    PAC has Stanford, UCLA

Michigan and ECU are flying solo
