  2. What was blue looking at with that initial call- that wasn't even close to being out
  3. It's settled down considerably from earlier this afternoon when it was a gusty and blowing toward the SW.
  4. Sorry for the double post, I was in wrong thread earlier... Wind is howling in Lubbock today - swirling but also blowing out to right. Tonight should be interesting.

  6. Yep, he dropped in several times but the dude just stood there so eventually he was tagged
  7. It was a hit with bases loaded, he has to advance home. Guy on 2nd has to advance to 3rd. Since 3rd baseman didn't have to throw home, he easily tagged the runner on way from 2nd to 3rd
  8. Calling a first pitch grand slam here
  9. Michigan must really like playing in So Cal - they are doing everything they can to push this to a game 3
  10. Dat how baseball go
  11. Jung and Warren blowing chunks at the plate all day didn't help either
  12. No. 10 East Carolina (47-16) at No. 7 Louisville (47-16) No. 9 Oklahoma St. (39-19) at No. 8 Texas Tech (42-17) (15 WV)Duke (34-25) at No. 2 Vanderbilt (52-10) (16 OSU)Michigan (44-19) at No. 1 UCLA (51-9) ---------------------- No. 12 Ole Miss (40-25) at No. 5 Arkansas (44-17) (4 UGA)Florida St. (39-21) at No. 13 LSU (40-24) (3 GaTech)Auburn (36-25) at No. 14 North Carolina (45-17) No 11 Stanford (45-12) at No. 6 Mississippi St. (49-13) (lost in regionals) These Supers are paired according to national seeds. So, it makes sense that it would carry forward to Omaha. What doesn't make sense is everyone on same side of bracket not playing on the same days.
  13. since Tech is the #8 seed and UCLA is the #1, I assume that those two regions are paired. UL is the #7 but that's the only other rank that I can remember. You'd think the #4 and #5 would be playing today too (if they are both still alive)
  14. so are these 4 regionals playing today all paired up on the same side of the bracket in Omaha?
  15. yup. two Omaha worthy teams battling in out.
  16. It's amazing that the car that hit the building didn't also have a fatality - some major damage to that vehicle. It appears to have been airborne when it struck the wall - judging by the fence damage which looks like a car flew over it and not through it. I'd like to see the official report on the chain reaction of events. I bet crash sight investigating would be a pretty interesting career.
  17. Yeah, dude needs to edit that down a tad. I counted at least 3 wrecked vehicles, did all the people get beamed out right before impact? I know the pulverized car had to have had a fatality - but no sign of a body anywhere? Everyone only pointed to one dude sitting WAY over on other side of median. But they were all pretty non-chalant about wherever the deceased was.
  18. It's even more ridiculous when you look closer at the brackets and see that the ONLY possible super regional matchup was between the top two teams. At least the 12 has 1 guaranteed flag in Omaha. secsecsec is also guaranteed 1 and has a chance to send 5 Ark/Miss, Auburn, LSU, Miss St, Vandy, ACC has Duke, FSU, L'ville, NC PAC has Stanford, UCLA Michigan and ECU are flying solo
  19. and another example of replay ruining the game edit: (UL v IS)
  20. I feel dirty for liking this before the game went final. so, to reverse the bad mojo, I'm gonna go ahead and say I don't feel good about Tech vs DBU tonight.
  21. Well, it does seem to be a home run derby out there today.
  22. Are any of these games that don't involve the host school well attended? It's cricket city at the games I've seen - including here in Lubbock.
  23. Hard to believe the same network signed off on both show's endings. I agree that this was darn near perfect and exactly the sort of goodbye we had wished for Thrones.
  24. $120k a month?!? WTF????
