  1. So, it makes sense that it would carry forward to Omaha. What doesn't make sense is everyone on same side of bracket not playing on the same days.
  2. since Tech is the #8 seed and UCLA is the #1, I assume that those two regions are paired. UL is the #7 but that's the only other rank that I can remember. You'd think the #4 and #5 would be playing today too (if they are both still alive)
  3. so are these 4 regionals playing today all paired up on the same side of the bracket in Omaha?
  4. yup. two Omaha worthy teams battling in out.
  5. It's amazing that the car that hit the building didn't also have a fatality - some major damage to that vehicle. It appears to have been airborne when it struck the wall - judging by the fence damage which looks like a car flew over it and not through it. I'd like to see the official report on the chain reaction of events. I bet crash sight investigating would be a pretty interesting career.
  6. Yeah, dude needs to edit that down a tad. I counted at least 3 wrecked vehicles, did all the people get beamed out right before impact? I know the pulverized car had to have had a fatality - but no sign of a body anywhere? Everyone only pointed to one dude sitting WAY over on other side of median. But they were all pretty non-chalant about wherever the deceased was.
  7. It's even more ridiculous when you look closer at the brackets and see that the ONLY possible super regional matchup was between the top two teams. At least the 12 has 1 guaranteed flag in Omaha. secsecsec is also guaranteed 1 and has a chance to send 5 Ark/Miss, Auburn, LSU, Miss St, Vandy, ACC has Duke, FSU, L'ville, NC PAC has Stanford, UCLA Michigan and ECU are flying solo
  8. and another example of replay ruining the game edit: (UL v IS)
  9. I feel dirty for liking this before the game went final. so, to reverse the bad mojo, I'm gonna go ahead and say I don't feel good about Tech vs DBU tonight.
  10. Well, it does seem to be a home run derby out there today.
  11. Are any of these games that don't involve the host school well attended? It's cricket city at the games I've seen - including here in Lubbock.
  12. Hard to believe the same network signed off on both show's endings. I agree that this was darn near perfect and exactly the sort of goodbye we had wished for Thrones.
  13. Thanks for the link. I've since been binge watching his previous efforts - Absolutely hilarious! without fail some of the best 'reviews' out there. 😜
  14. The opening title sequence doesn't match up either. If the gate is opposite the Red Keep, then there is indeed land on that end. I only post this to say that the continuity issues didn't just begin this season.
  15. Was someone saying you didn't? I'm guessing that he was highlighting that series as being the turning point of the season. Tech very well may have played their way into a national seed.
  16. LOL - yes, ep 6 titled "Golden Crown" see, the the dumbassness is contagious.
  17. I've only watched the series one time through during it's original release dates. Out of curiosity I began watching season 1 again this week as a refresher and to compare then and now. Absolutely it's better. But I wonder if that's because it was our introduction to ALL the characters. Time needed to be taken, and they took plenty of it, in laying the groundwork for the story to come - and dang if it's nearly not all right there in episode 1 - but you all already know that. What really struck me tho since it's so prominent in these threads regarding the current episodes is the amount of dumbassness that took place then as well. It was fresh material so we accepted it - the Golden Crown scene from ep 5 being just one example.
  18. If the lopsided victory was so surprising to everyone, why did Tyrion spend two episodes begging Dany not to do it? He was absolutely convinced that she, and she alone, was the only thing that could prevent the burning/destruction of King's Landing.
  19. My take on the lack of "major deaths" taking place. There was a point where you thought to yourself - and don't say that didn't because we know you did. All of you thought this... "Well, I guess this is the one that gets it" and then a few seconds later, "oh snap, they aren't gonna make it either" ALL of them were dead. They had no way out. And then Arya saved them.
  20. Virginia has the Leperchans in their back pocket that's for sure - ball has bounced their way the entire tourney
  21. My homer pick is the only one I got right. Tech, Duke, NC, Tennessee Duke, Tennessee Duke
  22. BIG12, BIG, SEC, ACC the whole gang's there, well almost, sorry PAC, we miss ya!
