  1. Gotta say, this final journey by train is pretty awesome!!
  2. THAT's an amazing photo!
  3. Awesome!! Just absolutely outstanding!!
  4. was in a hurry and left a few things out... ooc isn't exclusively from pool of teams 81-128 full 9 game round robin for conf schedules ooc sos is possible conf champ tie-breaker
  5. (( Realignment talk not going away )) We plugin the way back machine of yesteryear and the top 80 teams form eight 10 team conferences. Currently 64 teams in P5 conferences. Maybe they are all top80, maybe they are not. But the additional 16 teams allows for enough wiggle room that they probably would. 8 Champions. 8 team playoff beginning on current ccg weekend. Semis continue on NYs weekend. Final one week later. Teams 81 -128 are the ooc teams and get to play their own post season tourney.
  6. We probably won't witness another like him in our lifetime. Pure class all the way.
  7. Hmm, I don't recall seeing any lines on ND vs the other teams. (I know I'm beating a dead horse - but soare they)
  8. Missed it the first go round so just watched Palmer's pick of Georgia at #4 and justified by saying if they played OU, he thinks the Dawgs would win. That's great. So, tell me Mr. I want the best 4 teams in - who is Norte Dame gonna beat? Bama? nope Clemson? nope OU? nope UGA? nope tOSU? nope
  9. Isn't it interesting that the only folks propping up Georgia are ESPN and secsecsec fans. Not one member of the Fox broadcast crew thought UGA should be in. But some were honest enough to say that perhaps ND should fall below OU and tOSU. edit: this was not a response to the post above me. I was talking about the on air blowhards
  10. I didn't watch the final last year for that reason I did watch the Rose tho and I threw up in my mouth a little while cheering for Baker to knock the Dogs out
  11. If they want to make that argument then they need to take a long hard look at ND and ask, are the Irish really one of the 4 best teams?
  12. That's the rub. Bama can lose and still advance. Clemson can lose and still advance. ND can stay home and still advance.
  13. Funny thing about that pic, that player is Kings... err, I mean Gosling. 😜
  14. Hmm, Chargers' HC is a TxTech alum. Has Kliff actually signed anything yet?
  15. You are correct, I forgot about Stick/Potts and ole Nick Freedom I remember all "three" playing but forgot about their injuries
  16. I might be thinking of DP's commentary but I thought one of them mentioned the conference sizes and divisions being out of whack and that the leagues needed to all use the same format - but I can see that being an NFL-lite comparison too.
  17. Possibly the most ridiculous stat of all coming out of Mike's tenure in Lubbock... Number of starting QBs to lose playing time due to injury: 0 With the possible exception being Nic Shimonek last year, every single one of Kliff's QBs were hurt at one point beginning with Michael Brewer - the projected starter for Bro's first season. (Brewer, Mayfield, Webb, Mahomes, Carter, Bowman, Duffey)
  18. I didn't read it that way at all. I saw it more as college football has lost it's way - these CCGs are not what makes college football the game that we love so much. Rarely do they feature matchups between storied rivals. Texas/OU this year is an exception. While it would benefit Texas to win this weekend we all know and understand it's silly to be playing the game following a full round robin schedule. I believe Wetzel is advocating that the other leagues change up their schedules and follow a similar format.
  19. Ok, I missed it on the show but Dan was commenting on this article.
  20. Did anyone catch Dan Patrick's show today? He was proposing an 8 team playoff that begins with this week's CCGs where the teams would be seeded according to rank and wouldn't necessarily pair up conference mates. Missed what he said about how conferences could decide their champions but it seemed like he really didn't give a flip. The main selling point was that is expands the playoffs without adding games.
  21. This is a pretty good listen - periscope/podcast from former Lubbock radio personality Ryan Hyatt
  22. They improved in the red zone but they still pretty much sucked because they gave up a ton of huge plays from beyond the red zone.
  23. [stirringthepot]Or maybe Spav knows that Holgo ain't hangin' around[/stirringthepot]
  24. Utah St is top 10 in offense But more importantly they rank in the 60s not 100s on D
