  1. The ex player oil money rumor first surfaced last year when Kliff was on the hot seat.
  2. I hope this is true. Would love to see him killing it at that level.
  3. No, just pointing out that Tech already pays more so salary isn't an issue. Other rumored factors: Holgo and WV admin don't really care for each other Also: Tech is located in Texas - always a plus - even if it's in Lubbock. 😎
  4. Nailed it
  5. 28-27 3min on clock It's all set up for a walk off fg

    LSU @ aggy

    aggy turnover coming up
  7. "Sources" hell, everyone here at surly could be a source - we've all been saying it all week. It's not done until Kirby says so in a presser.
  8. This will forever be my memory of Tommy's time here in Lubbock. Anything, no matter the reason or motive that got him out of town was a good thing.
  9. PBT did save Tech money by leaving instead of waiting to be fired. Why is that even a question?
  10. I didn't mean out-recruit Texas and OU. I meant out-recruit Baylor.
  11. He was hurt in the game against the Horns.
  12. I'm little confused here. Didn't the Bears self-impose a bowl ban after the B12's slap on the wrist regarding Rapegate?
  13. This. Baylor's "rebuild" is an indictment on Kliff's entire tenure at Tech. That the Bears have out-recruited Tech and are now putting better talent on the field with depth to back them up is really all one needs to know. Kirby, go find someone that can recruit to Lubbock. That's all that really matters.
  14. Kliff should be fired for that 9 minute possession the Bears just threw down
  15. That's the thing, the ref cannot. Faking or not, the refs can't be asked to make that judgement - opens up a whole other can of worms. Setting a standard for the number of plays that have to be missed allows for the teams to police themselves and decide if the "delay" is worth it.
  16. Yep, Tech has finally joined in on the scam. It has been used against their offense for years and it's frustrating as all get out. But until the rules are changed there's really no reason not to do it - especially when teams are employing it against you. Gundy is right and it's been the obvious solution all along but because it's so simple it'll therefore never happen.
  17. That was Mahomes' 5th loss as a starting D1/NFL QB when scoring 50+ points. 😳
  18. He gone. It's too big a financial liability to keep him now regardless of what the buyout is.
  19. Um, I believe the concern is regarding the air quality do to the smoke and not so much the actual fires.
  20. I gotta say, dude was nails tonight. He flat out balled all night long. Even when it's against my team I can appreciate greatness and tip my hat and say damn, that sucked but it sure was fun to watch.
  21. Nailed it. I don't see Tech's O being able to keep up either. This is a bad matchup for the red n black. Home 20 Away 42
  22. I wrote the above before reading about Johnson's injury - I'll stand by my statement - LJH is good enough all by himself.
  23. well since pass defense is Tech's weakness, a ball control running game may not be needed...
