I've only watched the series one time through during it's original release dates. Out of curiosity I began watching season 1 again this week as a refresher and to compare then and now.
Absolutely it's better.
But I wonder if that's because it was our introduction to ALL the characters. Time needed to be taken, and they took plenty of it, in laying the groundwork for the story to come - and dang if it's nearly not all right there in episode 1 - but you all already know that.
What really struck me tho since it's so prominent in these threads regarding the current episodes is the amount of dumbassness that took place then as well. It was fresh material so we accepted it - the Golden Crown scene from ep 5 being just one example.
If the lopsided victory was so surprising to everyone, why did Tyrion spend two episodes begging Dany not to do it?
He was absolutely convinced that she, and she alone, was the only thing that could prevent the burning/destruction of King's Landing.
My take on the lack of "major deaths" taking place.
There was a point where you thought to yourself - and don't say that didn't because we know you did. All of you thought this...
"Well, I guess this is the one that gets it" and then a few seconds later, "oh snap, they aren't gonna make it either"
ALL of them were dead. They had no way out.
And then Arya saved them.
Apologies in advance for asking something that was probably discussed upthread somewhere, but what was the process used that made KSU the 1 seed and Tech the 2 seed? Was it Tech's home loss to ISU?
"All three" is what was stated and is exactly what I questioned.
Playing for a tie is one thing, but the team with a shot at an outright title truly controls their destiny.
edit:
I think you are wrong about KU's "outright" chances - unless you don't understand what "control your own destiny" means
If Tech wins out, someone else still has to beat the Cats for there to be a tie.
If KU wins out, best they can hope for is a tie, unless someone else beats the Cats.
If Cats win out, they are Champs.
If I had confidence that the plastics and papers I save for the recycle bins were actually recycled, I'd participate more. But my confidence level is at 5% and therefore I do not.
That's the page I've been viewing. And when I get to the pic of the 4 Horsemen, there's a blue "button" that says "10 more".
If I keep scrolling without clicking on that button I see pics from non related galleries but if I click - it loads 10 more football pics and so on and so on. So to view 500 pics I have to load 50 pages - and at some point it crashes and I have to start back at the beginning.
