  1. Why did we need to play those teams? With the exception of South Carolina, we instead beat teams that beat all of them. And that doesn't include crushing a Michigan team that just won at Ohio State. Add it all up and we beat 8 teams that ended the regular season bowl-eligible. Maybe not as "easy" a path as aggy and many others have claimed. Not that they'd ever let reality interfere with the narrative, of course.
  2. From the looks of the box score, we have some great players not exactly playing great tonight. Poor shooting and turnovers. Or do the numbers deceive?
  3. As others upthread have noted, the wrong hash seems to give him trouble.
  4. I can't believe Auburn's still the best we have. He doesn't even center it on PATs, which is generally a bad sign.
  5. Camera must have been lagging the play.
  6. Malachi Moore with another mental error. I know you're all stunned.
  7. I hate to predict an aggy win, so I won't. I think we win a slugfest, 20-16. Again, as per my recent habit, just under the spread. We end up with a total of 266 yards passing. Arch has over 100 of those.
  8. Of course. Too much dinero at stake for them not to.
  9. As I sit here roughly an equal distance from Nashville and Knoxville, I'd love to see Vandy punk the Vols. So far, so good.
  10. Any random mid-season volleyball match gets held up three minutes as officials replay whether or not a fingernail grazed the ball. But let's not do any of that on a football pass with massive consequences.
  11. And when pressure was right in the face of King, his pass over the middle to the TE was caught for first-and-goal. In the same situation, Quinn's to the RB was dropped. 😡
  12. The age of the immobile QB is all but over. Protecting a statue for a full game is just too hard. Not having to defend an extra runner turns good DCs into rich HCs.
  13. From crisp North Georgia, awaiting a rivalry from the sunny slopes of long ago... TEXAS!
  14. Good news. But that begs the question: Are we as good as the Texas team who escaped them in Palo Alto?
  15. Love him or not (I lean strongly to the latter), Kelvin Sampson continues to get some pretty elite guys to play solid D. He might not be running "Havoc," but his time at UH suggests his formula isn't attractive only to spunky developmental guys.
  16. Even If Shaka becomes John Wooden at Marquette or someplace else, that still doesn't mean Texas was wrong to send him packing. He failed spectacularly in Austin and has only himself to blame. We of course can blame him AND Patterson AND Fenves. None of this makes a direct case for Terry, but he's done a far better job for us than the fraud ever did.
  17. I anxiously await their counterpunch strategy to Ant Man spying Reed as the pocket collapses. Not sure the Elkster will have one.
  18. I remain pretty concerned about special teams, but not due to coaching in a direct sense. I suppose Auburn and Kern are what they are, but I'm hopeful both start much hotter streaks in B/CS. Bolden I love as a competitor and receiver, but he really needs to quit thinking he has to turn every punt in the shadow of our goalpost into a return score. One or more of those issues could easily be the death blow to our season.
