  1. Didn't feel that close. Seriously, just glad to get through another tuneup with no obvious dents or dings. And one day closer to our current wounded being back on the court.
  2. The Falcons are bad in a way that makes many bad teams look not so bad.
  3. A whole slew of teams across the land lost only 1-2 games, making it hard to overlook our stumbling losses and unimpressive wins vs. several mids. We also were pretty bad on the road, and I can see how a third party skimming highlights of our home win over Vandy might view us as lucky to have gone 9-3. In short, we gave the committee all the ammo it needed to justify ignoring us. That said, there aren't 12 teams I'd favor over us on a neutral field next week.
  4. I was thinking Manson on a Tijuana bender, but maybe that's redundant.
  5. You're not going to add their coach, Babe Didrikson Zaharias?
  6. Not sure anyone makes real money in today's sports world without consolidating eyeballs. And those are purely controlled by the public. He could go away overnight if folks would just wise up.
  7. Hard to disagree overall. It appears Flood has failed to recruit well or develop well. Might overcome one of those, but not both...and especially not in the SEC. Something is broken, and I don't think it's simply a matter of lacking another Earl, Ricky or Jamaal to hit the right hole.
  8. It's comical how they now go 100 miles out of their way to avoid it. All while knowing Texas or even Vandy would present any potential playoff opponent with real challenges. Not to say we'd be favored over anyone now in the bottom 8 of the field, but we probably would over several. Looking at you, aggy and Ole Miss.
  9. Golf clap for the rare triple negative sentence. BYU has a nice team but wouldn't fare well in the SEC. What makes Texas, Vandy and Miami intriguing is the fact they have the talent to at least give anyone in the land a tough game. Never mind their floor — their ceiling makes them dangerous. Texas in particular has shown this.
  10. The QB couldn't have telegraphed it any more if his name was Samuel Morse.
  11. And that's fair. It's just hard for me to be generous concerning his 2026 value to a team with pressing needs at his position and others. From being the guy Saban called the most complete back in the SEC to a shell of his former self was hard to watch. Every year I'm more amazed at how some RBs managed to be strong contributors for over a decade in the NFL.
  12. l've opted out of watching unless someone bumps up my NIL.
  13. Not sure we did, as he played QB in HS. Like...you know, Roschon Johnson.
  14. Which of these teams would Texas beat? I say both.
  15. Hope Jeff Banks is taking notes.
  16. Especially when you consider that he didn't often seem to be while actually our coach.
  17. https://gopoly.com/sports/womens-volleyball/roster/kendall-beshear/10197 Need to question the venue's security procedures, because this sophomore brought a weapon to the court. Probably couldn't help us in any other way, but I'd love to have that serve at our disposal next year.
  18. Their mistake
  19. Especially since they fell behind 17-3 over the first few minutes.
  20. It's impressive how quick her hands are and how well she sees the court. Opponents seem to be shocked when she makes big plays, but we no longer are.
  21. Vols drop their first set 19-25.
  22. In other news, Utah State is showing up vs. Tennessee so far. But it's very early.
