  1. A couple videos of our two newest conmitments. First the announcement by Crittendon, who is a total beast of a player: And an interesting breakdown of why Bjorn was regarded by some as a must get for UCONN:
  2. I think every Texas fan is eager to see how Miller and the new regime settle in. They seem to be on the right track already. But to me, our ongoing fan "interest" in Shaka is because of just how massive a fraud he continues to be. The guy failed at least as spectacularly as Terry but then was given a free pass by media still trying to paint him as a great coach who got a raw deal from us ignorant ingrates at Texas. If the media would instead start portraying the guy as the overrated charlatan he actually is, I'd feel far less inclined to keep celebrating his stumbles.
  3. Took Bobby two weeks to get his. So just in time to start prepping for the TaxSlayer Bowl.
  4. No actual dunking in this segment from a year ago, but a lot of good background on the player and her growth.
  5. It's Texas!
  6. Allen is 27 and has a career BA right at the Mendoza Line. How could anyone argue against such a swap?
  7. Much like Connor Stroh trying to pancake an SEC 3 Tech, this aggression will not stand.
  8. Not sure how many others are joining Mulkey in the prediction, but SB Nation is flat out claiming the state of Bjorn has been called for Texas. https://www.sbnation.com/womens-sports/1090997/addison-bjorn-commitment-womens-basketball-recruiting-bri-crittendon-sec-texas

  10. Hudson benefiting from the old "best player on the best team" formula? Weak sauce.
  11. Fans seem to have totally missed how much Mosley's absence crippled our offense early on. As soon as he returned, it was obvious he was our best WR by far. A lot of Arch's early-season throws might not have reached him, but if they had, there's reason to think he'd have caught them. Lose any other WR on the roster before him.
  12. Also nice to have a coach who can get a ref's undivided attention.
  13. We seem a bit more prone to lackluster stretches than do some other contenders. Or maybe I'm just more focused on our own stumbles. Regardless, for our ladies to go on a prolonged roll again will take consistent energy, focus, serving and blocking we haven't always shown in SEC play. I'm already quite happy with the season, but I really hope our seniors don't get sent home from the NCAAs because we melted down in a match we should have won. Make some other team really earn our elimination with elite play on both sides. Or...just win it all.
  14. 8-10 or 7-11?
  15. Just taking Roberson off special teams might be worth another win per season.

  17. She's never exactly been a wizard among the trees, even when no trees are lurking. Probably just rushes the shot. It's interesting that Preston is pretty good in close but still has work to do from distance. Together they're a pretty complete package. Spaight will be Rori 2.0 next year, only with more scoring moves.
  18. Go for dos.
  19. Yes, they've mastered that, as well. But they do tend to drag out the anguish most weeks.
  20. It really is remarkable how they snatch defeat from the jaws of victory week after week, year after year. And against all levels of competition.
  21. Falcons offense reminds me a lot of the Longhorns'. A few nice plays interspersed with drops and flags.
  22. I'm not sure it's Raheem Morris causing the Falcons to be this way nearly every week. But on the chance it is, I'd can him. I mean, I say that nearly every game, but still.
  23. We're not the most cerebral team in general.
