Tonight's TV crew seemed puzzled that Texas has been drubbing people but continues to give several players huge minutes. Well, it's not too hard to figure out when you look at team health.
I love Vic in the postgame line. Comes across as genuinely encouraging our opponents, players and coaches alike. I've heard some coaches do it to subtly tamper with players they covet, but I never feel that's what he's doing.
A few UGA pages and fans on social keep foaming at the mouth about Texas. Of course, so does Kirby in his own ways. This is the latest example, but anything negative about us is prioritized. I take that as a sign we worry them much more than most other conference schools do, despite the fact they clearly have scoreboard. Whatever.
I tried hard to get into this game and appreciate one of our last remaining easy Ws. But that's no easy task. We're about as unwatchable as a team with a 27-point cushion can be.
Among those with the manpower to win it, I'd prefer Indiana. Then Oregon, so Phil Knight's war chest of NIL might contract by a few pennies. No title for OSU, Oregon, Miami or the SEC, in part for recruiting momentum.
Didn't feel that close. Seriously, just glad to get through another tuneup with no obvious dents or dings. And one day closer to our current wounded being back on the court.
A whole slew of teams across the land lost only 1-2 games, making it hard to overlook our stumbling losses and unimpressive wins vs. several mids. We also were pretty bad on the road, and I can see how a third party skimming highlights of our home win over Vandy might view us as lucky to have gone 9-3.
In short, we gave the committee all the ammo it needed to justify ignoring us. That said, there aren't 12 teams I'd favor over us on a neutral field next week.
Not sure anyone makes real money in today's sports world without consolidating eyeballs. And those are purely controlled by the public. He could go away overnight if folks would just wise up.
Hard to disagree overall. It appears Flood has failed to recruit well or develop well. Might overcome one of those, but not both...and especially not in the SEC. Something is broken, and I don't think it's simply a matter of lacking another Earl, Ricky or Jamaal to hit the right hole.
It's comical how they now go 100 miles out of their way to avoid it. All while knowing Texas or even Vandy would present any potential playoff opponent with real challenges. Not to say we'd be favored over anyone now in the bottom 8 of the field, but we probably would over several. Looking at you, aggy and Ole Miss.
