  1. Especially considering we have no Preston or Crump available, this has been crazy good execution without any letup on D. UCLA hasn't faced anything like this in a good while. Let Betts have her 30, but keep the perimeter in check and stay aggressive on the other end.
  2. An almost perfect half 🤘
  3. She did it fairly often last year, but I'd hoped that by now she'd have quit rushing the chippies. She remains a work in progress.
  4. It's almost like a scrimmage, but at least we're shooting a high % from around the court.
  5. No floor leader has yet emerged.
  6. I'm so thrilled to have moved on from RT that I view this year's transition as a mulligan. We weren't winning anything with him coaching us again, and some of Miller's new guys are showing promise. Let's see what develops, but I'm hopeful so far.
  7. Lots of youth out there against a veteran team, so I'm not shocked with a loss. Really disappointed in how it unfolded, of course, but Kentucky's depth stepped up. So let's learn from it and move on. I'd much rather it happen tonight vs. Kentucky than vs. aggy last night.
  8. Now rest. Refocus. And continue to work on our blocking.
  9. Sort of needed that kill.
  10. Keep feeding her. And build a wall.
  11. Need a surge by Torrey
  12. Long rallies are sapping us.
  13. I want Hudson to take one off that beak.
  14. Thought Ames had it. Game of inches.
  15. Wonder if Hudson thinks it's "personal" yet.
  16. Setting is not sharp right now.
  17. I've spent a fair bit of time in rural Kentucky over the years. It's all a backwater.
  18. Preferred nomenclature
  19. I'm not the one questioning the hire.
  20. Who would have been your choice? I'll hang up and listen.
  21. For only the shortest of spans should Swain ever be out of the game. And he should at least touch the ball in most halfcourt sets.
  22. As you note, after so many instances of weak blocking all season, these past two matches have been quite a revelation. Hopefully our revamped net play continues against Hudson, DeLeye and Kennedy, each of whom abused us in Austin. (I'd especially like to see Hudson stuffed repeatedly.) All just observations as a fan, certainly not as a coach.
