  1. We win by 27. Nobody gets hurt badly. I'll then be satisfied with our progress.
  2. Garbage in...garbage out.
  3. Perhaps you're still laboring under the misconception he can hit.
  4. Imagine how 44 would be producing if there were protection behind him in the order. Espada can't match the IQ of a salamander.
  5. So all it took was my complaint about our power outage? My bad for not having posted that two months ago.
  6. Other than 2025 Astros baseball, I give up. It's bad enough to so seldom put the ball in play. That problem is only compounded by the fact we aren't hitting for power. Big innings thus have become total flukes, even against the bad teams. Unwatchable ball.
  7. Just swept them. Impressively.
  8. NY announcers are thinking it was critical to hold Pena to a single on that hit off the wall, because it kept him from being on second and scoring on Yordan's single. They think that would have tied the game. Everyone but them knows the bat was going to be taken out of 44's hands with first base open.
  9. High schoolers could hit this guy. Even some Astros might.
  10. The problem with Alvarez at 2 and Altuve 3 is that if Yordan doesn't leave the yard, it's then in the hands of a guy who's aging before our eyes. So I partly blame the lineup.
  11. No more cement mixers
  12. Several guys contributing when it really matters is a refreshing change. Of course, several of the biggest contributions have been by the visiting team.
  13. Nice 43-20 run since the first set.
  14. Rice looks confident and aggressive. We look fairly disinterested.
  15. I don't know if Brown is any red zone wizard, just that he was expected to bring some value with his ideas on the QB run game.
  16. Neal Brown was said to have been hired in part because of his knowledge of the QB run game. Wonder if he's actually had any influence, because it didn't much seem that way against OSU.
  17. Ask Akina what the five toughest red zone passes are to defend, then run those with whichever QB we trot out there. And Milwee to waterboy, unless that's what he already is.
  18. If anything, you let them off easy. Let's can Espada before lunch and see if that helps. No way could it hurt. I mean, it has to happen sooner or later, so why wait?
  19. In previous years I'd actually care. But if my own team doesn't, should I?
  20. This is a level of ineptitude that deserves no ticket sales. At least, not to those pulling for the home team.
  21. So 2050 is the year?
  22. We're a decent but injured team playing poorly for long stretches. The weakness of the West has disguised how feeble we really are. Suddenly going on a hot streak and playing deep into October might seem doable because the franchise has done it before, but objectively it's a pipe dream. We're a shell of recent Astros teams. There's just not enough hitting or managerial magic to get it done. Please prove me wrong, team.
  23. I AM a manager talk kinda guy, and I agree. Espada is an idiot.
  24. Nobody wants him to get injured. But we were dependent on the health of Eric Metcalf, Nate Vasher and Johnnie Johnson to a far greater degree, and they all were game-changing PRs for us. I think Littleton can be, too. Against these tough defenses we need to make something positive out of every chance, and I believe he has a way higher ceiling there than Niblett does. Your mileage of course may vary.
