  1. Flattened like a tortilla
  2. You're overlooking the obvious here: Possum is way cheaper than brisket.
  3. Insert "Texas" anywhere you see "Ohio State" or "Buckeyes" and it's a nearly perfect overlay. The dilution of CFB bluebloods into mediocrity seems well under way.
  4. Yes, though seldom have two young TEs been any less similar. Washington lumbers as though Townsend is riding on his back.
  5. I doubt we're the only CFB junkies folks noticing the cascade of misses in Austin, but you're right in that the true results will have to play out on the field. For now, we fans are just wheezing canaries in the coal mine.
  6. When perception of a program sours this drastically and quickly, it's up the HC to simultaneously fix it and reassure everyone he's done so. None of us can do that for him. A penny for CDC's thoughts right now.
  7. Valid questions. Once you accept the bowl invitation, you of course have to run someone out there at every position. Maybe it's possible to start re-signing guys before a team plays in the post-season? I don't know the rules on that, if they even exist.
  8. Thanks for the info. Going on what I'd heard but hadn't actually researched. Anyone there we'd take?
  9. ND isn't getting poached to any real degree, as far as I can tell. As for their decision not to play in a bowl, safe to say it had nothing to do with avoiding potential portal losses. But it might end up being a happy byproduct of that decision.
  10. Clark and Barnes illustrate how in a single-portal world it's risky to give bowl PT to talented backups of guys who opted out. For any rivals looking to poach, it's a conveniently timed audition. Maybe ND had the right idea.
  11. The quicker we go back to filling all of our HS classes with Centex white bread, the quicker this roster raiding will end.
  12. Love Weaver. What a warrior.
  13. Wemby and Champagnie go 17-31 from the floor and the full team still is at a mere 37% for the game. That simply won't cut it.
  14. Don't know much about him, but I'll gladly take another potential starter-level CB in an evolving secondary.
  15. As a group, we're pretty mid up and down the roster. Hard to mix and match lineups when you can't scheme to take advantage of "strengths" that don't exist. Playing hard will get you only so far against a good team, especially on the road.
  16. I was only half joking when I said the downside of Clark playing well in Orlando was that he'd just laid down nice tape for the portal. In other news, I'm all for firing Ketch into the center of the sun. Or would be, if I didn't fear that would cause earth to be showered in blackened blubber for days on end.
  17. Sounds generous. Tennessee must not be good.
  18. I haven't. So there's one person, at least.
  19. Can you prevent it...or change it, if it happens? Don't think I can, so it worries me not.
