  1. Emma's so good. Serious scrambler.
  2. Hard for me to imagine we wouldn't sign Snell if given the chance. He's a total beast. His epic game-saving 4th down tackle against Duncanville is still reverberating across the state.
  3. Per Bobby, Brown to safety is false.
  4. All true. Pitcher pitches, hitter hits, fielder fields, runner runs. All individual skills that are largely independent of teammates' actions or attitudes. But I still want Tech to flame out in an inglorious fireball of failure, however it might happen. Even another botched IBB would work for me.
  5. Is it too much to ask for Tech to have chemistry issues and then fall way short of expectations? That's never too much to ask for.
  6. Trying to recall ever having been this annoyed by a 9-0 lead. Don't think I have been.
  7. Maybe humiliation (if it still even exists in pro sports) will do this organization some good. Odds are we're about to find out.
  8. I'm not sure any one thing leads to Brown's little hiccups from game to game. But when the margin is so thin (due to our sad lack of offense), a run here and a run there gets him beat or at least leads to a frustrating no-decision too often. He's one of the top RH pitchers in baseball, and I just feel he has the stuff to escape more of those situations.
  9. That half-inning illustrated Brown's frustrating issue: cruise through innings until you get a baserunner or two, then let it turn into a run. I still wonder if he does something out of the stretch to make him less effective.
  10. I'm thinking he's on a first-name basis with Carrington Byndom. Or at least the Earl of Sandwich.
  11. What a lineup. As jaggy as it gets in MLB. So we'll probably score 12.
  12. We've seen a lot of magic in this franchise for a decade. We're not seeing it now. I don't think it's any one thing causing our decline, but injuries, age, loss of leadership and marked improvement by some other clubs have added up to a bad funk. Call it bad luck if you will, but it's not just being snakebitten on injuries. Correcting all this won't be easy or cheap, and it might not quick...but the sooner the front office takes an objective look at where things went wrong, the sooner we'll have a chance to contend again.
  13. Feels like we're just waiting on the last family members to get into town before pulling the plug.
  14. I wanted Jose Abreu to work out, too. But when a power guy isn't hitting, and hasn't for weeks on end, a manager can't keep pretending he is. I feel that way about Altuve, too. Stubbornly keeping those guys in the 3-4 slots might well cost us the postseason.
  15. Allow Aggy to suggest Mo Bamba.
  16. I said before Framber's last bad outing that I wouldn't start him again. Who knows what would have happened with another guy in his place, but that's a chance I'd have eagerly taken. I'd now be happy to try giving Blubaugh an emergency start this week, even if we approach it as more or less a bullpen game. That's what most of them now have become anyway.
  17. Such a fitting conclusion to a home series that defined our season.
  18. Because I desperately want it to happen, it won't.
  19. Over/under on days until the offseason thread? I'll hang up and listen.
  20. Watch him end up in Arlington and go 17-5. I mean, I doubt he does, but I also wouldn't be shocked.
  21. Such a waste of an arm. If you transplanted Framber's brain into a hummingbird, it would fly upside down and backwards into a bus.
  22. I thought last year's season-ending collapse against the Panthers was bad. At least that game was close. Atlanta's making the Carolina D look like the '85 Bears. Well, except for the fact Bijan is getting his yards.
  23. I view Raheem Morris much as I do Joe Espada. Whether dreadful play is all his fault or not, I'd send him packing immediately.
  24. Just needed a few more minutes to be down 17. Penix with the Pop Warner pass for a pick 6.
