  1. Much deserved. Barron has been a rock. Meanwhile, Catalon remains one of the more vexing DBs to ever walk out of the tunnel in burnt orange.
  2. Yeah since when did it matter which part of the shoe touched inbounds, as long as it did before any other part hit the line? I'm flummoxed.
  3. I mean, I'd be shocked if TN loses. But right now it's 14-7, and State isn't backing down. Interesting how so many folks ripped on us for not beating MSU more convincingly, and now both UGA and TN have also met with some resistance from them.
  4. Good players can be fun to watch ball out in a loss, too.
  5. Opponents with a strong running game will probably keep giving us trouble. We don't currently have the personnel or scheme to stop them. Then again, I'm not sure how much we care when our offense is humming along. Those grind-it-out drives aren't fast enough to keep up with Sark's passing attack. It's only when we're struggling score points that it matters much.
  6. Didn't expect to add to my "ignore" list today, but life isn't always predictable.
  7. Ewers didn't rate himself as a prospect. He's a very good college QB groomed by one of the greatest offensive minds in the game. He's not Mahomes when things go off platform, but few are. I'll complain about several guys on the OL before getting to Quinn.
  8. Texas wins 27-17. Florida finishes with 318 yards.
  9. We still can cover it. Provided they go scoreless in the second half.
  10. From my front porch 400 miles north of Gainesville, hoping all the Floridians up here in the mountains for the weekend go back home bummed about the game.... TEXAS!
  11. I'm no mind reader, but Cook's body language on the bench against Vandy suggested he wasn't fully engaged. The fact Moore had just scored another TD might have had a lot to do with the disinterest he appeared to be showing. Or not. Whatever was going on, I anticipated Cook hitting the portal at year's end.
  12. Had anyone asked them after the ND game if they'd have been OK with just two losses as of their November bye, we all know they'd have nodded their pointy little heads. But in typical aggy fashion, they then went from gloom to glee after knocking off a few pedestrian opponents. Now, with that second loss and a tough injury, the pendulum predictably has swung back. It will likely reverse course a time or two more before year's end.
  13. Serious question: How good is Kaluma? I've never seen much of him, but some folks seem to think there's real value there. All I know is that against OSU's bigs he had plenty of trouble.
  14. Let us hope. Weaver needs to still be that quadruple espresso jolt he was last year, providing massive hustle and energy. He tried last night, but I fear overuse won't give us quite the desired effect. Not to mention the real risk of injury the way he flies around.
  15. Positionless basketball might be the future, but nostalgic me will always want an actual point guard. Without one...well, you see the result. Johnson is absolutely the truth, but we have to take the pressure off him to do everything. That task falls on multiple guys, starting with the HC. Our bigs did a little banging, but they're so deficient in actual skills that it didn't matter. Sure looks like a roster of JAGs and one monster talent. Hopefully Mark makes a positive difference...but if tonight is who we really are, we'll overachieve to win 18 games and get a 9 seed.
  16. Sampson at UH is on the record as saying he recruits shooters and then coaches them into playing D. Meanwhile, we've tended to run out there with a bunch of athletes much longer on athletic ability than shooting skill. At some point, you have to figure it's what our coaches from Barnes to Beard to Terry have wanted to do.
  17. Nearly everyone is rushing with the ball. Hopefully just early-season excitement that will be channeled more productively as we go.
  18. Give me petrified over putrified.
  19. Perhaps we're getting a glimpse into the distractions inherent to high-level college sports in the NIL era. It's hard to know where an athlete's head really is, but when play suffers it's not crazy to ask if priorities are as they should be. Maybe that's not at all what we're seeing. But throw NIL obligations and money on top of the rockstar status that comes with back-to-back titles and it's hardly unthinkable that some players might lose focus. Past time for coaches and team leaders to figure it out.
  20. Dude must be getting paid by the word. Otherwise, he could have just gone with: "We sucked."
  21. Wait. I thought aggy was the side claiming to be a well-oiled machine. If didn't appear that SCar used any lube at all.
  22. Right now we'd have trouble fogging a mirror. Guess our coach decided #600 was enough.
  23. We're about to see what this bunch is really made of.
